Mary Robertson
Mary Frances Robertson, 70, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Sunday, March 17, 2013, from 2-3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will follow at 3 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Sammy Crawford officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Ms. Robertson was born icon February 23, 1943, in Columbus, MS to the late Arnett and Alice Dorine Reedy Taylor. She was a resident of Columbus, MS her entire life. Ms. Robertson was a teacher at East Lowndes Academy, she worked as a Customer Service Representative at McCrory Furniture for 10 years and at Parker Furniture for 15 years. Ms. Robertson formerly attended Antioch Baptist Church, there she sang in the choir, was involved in Acteens and helped with YAH-senior citizens club. She was currently a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she was a member of Francis Hargett Sunday School Class. Ms. Robertson loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach with family, her favorite trip was traveling with friends through Europe. Ms. Robertson loved cook outs and camping. She always thought about others, putting them before herself. Ms. Robertson loved her Chihuahua, Coco. Ms. Robertson is survived by children- Sherri (John) Lancaster, Paula (Jim) Gaughan, and Carl Robertson all of Columbus, MS and Mark (Holly) Robertson, Daphne, AL; brother- Gene (Joyce) Taylor, Columbus, MS; grandchildren- Michael Russell, Jessica Lancaster, Brooke Lancaster, Tyler Gaughan, Taylor Robertson, Michael Cook, Logan Cook, and Colton Robertson, all of Columbus, MS and Marleigh Robertson, Daphne, AL; and great-grandchild- Landon Russell of Columbus, MS. Thanks to Jones Clinic in New Albany and Baptist Hospice for all the care, love and support. Due to her battle with breast cancer, the family would like for donations to made to: Breast Cancer Society, 6859 East Rembrandt Ave., Ste. 128, Mega, AZ 85212 or Fairview Missions Group, 127 Airline Rd., Columbus, MS 39702.

Eleonor Robinson
Eleonor Tirado Robinson, 91, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Columbus. Services were held Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Crawford officiating.Burial followed at Memorial Gardens cemetery. Mrs. Robinson was born icon on Tuesday, September 27, 1921, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to the late Tomas Tirado and Zoila Corchado. She was a longtime resident of Columbus and member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mrs. Robinson was a dedicated educator having taught Spanish in her native Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and also in Columbus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Maria Cruz. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Plemon J. Robinson, Columbus MS; daughter, Zoila Curtis (Christopher), Fayetteville, GA; son, Plemon J. Robinson, Jr. (Adela), Fayetteville, GA; and three grandchildren, Cloe Robinson, Camila Robinson and Margaret Curtis. She further leaves behind, three dear sisters-in-law, a kindly brother-in-law, and many loving nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 127 Airline Road, Columbus, MS 39702.

Dickie "Joan" Diette
(March 39, 1934 - May 15, 2016)
Funeral services for Mrs. Dickie "Joan" Diette of Winona will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Terry Walton officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery in Winona.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Diette, 82, died at her daughter's home on Sunday, May 15. She was born icon in Corinth on March 30, 1934, to Richard "Dick" and Alma Strachan Taylor. She was the retired former owner of the Ole Rebel Diner and a member of Kilmichael Baptist Church in Kilmichael. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jacque Raymond "Skeeter" Diette; a sister, Jean Johnson; and a grandson, Levi Trimble.
Mrs. Diette is survived by one daughter, Rita Eldridge (Johnny) of Kilmichael; two sons, Rickey M. Trimble (Debbie) of Winona and Russell Trimble of Union; four sisters, Janet Strickland of Memphis, TN, Joyce Clements of Dallas, TX, Jane Coleman of West Memphis, AR, and June Mitchell of New Johnsonville, TN; one brother, Richard "Dick" Taylor Jr. of Southaven; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Kendrick, Clay Eldridge, Adam Eldridge, Jason Abbott, Nick Gerrard, and Joe Leggett.

Mary A. Campbell
(January 9, 1957 - September 19, 2016)
Mary A. Campbell, 59, of Carrollton passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood. Mrs. Campbell was born icon in Clarksdale on January 9, 1957, to Francis Heron Liles II and Sarah Ellen Barrentine Liles. She worked as a registered nurse at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Mrs. Campbell was a good Christian woman and was an avid bowler. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Sarah Eileen Liles and Jerri Lynn Liles Kasinger.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband of 40 years, Hans Calvin Campbell of Carrollton; two sons, Jason Campbell (Kristy) of Carrollton and Michael Campbell (Amy) of Auburn, Alabama; one sister, Emily Massey of Carrollton; one brother, Frances Heron Liles III (Vanessa) of Denham Springs, Louisiana; eleven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Calvin Collins will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Relay for Life, Attn: Jana Alford, Montgomery County Relay for Life, 607 Main Street, Suite 3, Tupelo, MS 38804.

Janie Faye Marter
(October 18, 1942 - February 15, 2008)
Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Faye Marter of Winona are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, at Oliver Chapel in Winona, with Rev. Rufus Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery in Winona.
Mrs. Marter died of heart failure on Friday, February 15, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 65.
Mrs. Marter was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gant and the late Frank Perry. She was the widow of the late Bobby Marter. She was a retired factory worker and a homemaker. She sat with the elderly later in life as a way of helping them. Mrs. Marter was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Winona.
Mrs. Marter is survived by her daughter, Jessica Marter Bell of Duck Hill; and her son, Chris Marter of Winona.
Pallbearers are Don Bell, Clifton Box, Anthony Carpenter, Hank Jones, and Flint Trusty, and Will Sullivan.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 17, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.

James B. "Buddy" Bacon
(August 11, 1926 - June 3, 2008)
Funeral services for James B. "Buddy" Bacon of Winona are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, at Oliver Chapel, with burial following in Oakwood cemetery in Winona. Rev. Rusty Fair will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 4, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Bacon died on Tuesday, June 3, at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson.
He was 81 years old.
Mr. Bacon was a retired employee of Screw Conveyor Corporation in Winona and a member of North Winona Baptist Church in Winona. He was the son of the late Walter and Johnnie O'Neal Bacon.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Bacon of Winona; and two sisters, Bertha Jacks of Grenada and Latha Austin of Greenwood.
Memorials may be made to the North Winona Baptist Church Building Fund, 602 Alberta Drive, Winona, MS 38967.

William Victor Erickson, Jr.
(April 2, 1943 - October 14, 2008)
Graveside funeral services for William Victor Erickson, Jr., of West Plains, Missouri, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, at Gore Springs Methodist Church cemetery at Gore Springs, with Rev. John Goldwater officiating. Burial will follow immediately.
Mr. Erickson died of heart failure at his residence on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. He was 65 years old.
Mr. Erickson was the son of the late William Victor Erickson and the late Dorothy Fenska Erickson. He was an automobile salesman and a Baptist. He also enjoyed restoring old cars.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Ferguson Erickson of West Plains, Missouri; one sister, Brenda Emory of Washington; and two grandchildren.

Roy Dean Corley
(December 10, 1933 - November 17, 2010)
Funeral services for Roy Dean Corley of Winona will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, at North Winona Baptist Church in Winona, with burial following in the Calvary Baptist Church cemetery in Carroll County.
Rev. Billy Little, assisted by Rev. Rusty Fair, will officiate the services.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., on Friday, November 19, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Corley died of heart failure at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona on Wednesday, November 17, 2010. He was 76 years old.
Mr. Corley was the son of the late Allen Ross and Mattie Thompson Corley, and the widower of the late Willie Pearl Lott Corley. He was a retired employee of J. A. Olson Company and a member of North Winona Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by a son, Lonnie Dean Corley.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Locke of Winona and Carolyn Berry of Boiling Springs, North Carolina; two sons, Steve Corley of Batesville and Rev. Terry Corley of Winona; one sister, Frances Dowdy of Kilmichael; one brother, William Corley of Winona; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ed Golding, Rickie Corley, Kenny Self, Ernie Gordon, Harvey Swindoll, and Michael Taylor.

William Randolph "Nick" Oliver
(October 10, 1938 - September 29, 2011)
Nick Oliver, 72, of Ridgeland, died Thursday, September 29, 2011, in an automobile accident near Carthage, Ms along with Sue Vowell Oliver, his former wife, of Louisville, MS.
Services will be held for both Nick and Sue on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 10am at the Scotland Baptist Church near Winona with burial following in the church cemetery. Scotland Baptist Church is located at 725 Scotland Road in Winona.
There will be a joint visitation on Tuesday evening, October 4, from 5 to 8pm at the Oliver Funeral Home in Winona, MS.
Nick was a native of Vaiden, MS and a graduate of Vaiden High School. He earned a BA in Engineering from Mississippi State University where he met and married icon Sue Vowell from Choctaw County. Nick was awarded the MBA from Delta State University while raising three children and working full time at Baxter Laboraties. He was a charter member of St. Luke Methodist Church in Cleveland, MS, retired from Mississippi Vocational Rehabilitation Services and was active in the Scotland Baptist Church of Winona, MS.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph Oliver and Eura Dell Rogers Oliver; daughter, Elise Oliver McDaniel; and granddaughter, Annabella Oliver Kollatz.
Nick is survived by his daughter, Amie Oliver Kollatz of Richmond, VA; son, Mark Saxon Oliver of Fremont, CA; two grandsons, Justin Farr of Canton, Ms and Luke Oliver of Fremont, CA; three granddaughters, Lauren and Kristen McDaniel of Navarre, FL, and Nina Zhou Oliver of Fremont, CA; three great grandchildren; brother, Bobby Oliver and his wife, Shirley, of Winona; and their children, Walter and Ruth Marie..
Nick's friends and extended family will remember him as a genuine southern character. He was a teller of (mostly true) tall tales who loved epic westerns, the MSU Bulldogs and his ornery cat Buster.

Edgar Wilton Clark
(May 26, 1925 - September 21, 2013)
Mr. Edgar Wilton Clark, 88, of North Carrollton died of heart failure at Greenwood Specialty Hospital in Greenwood on Saturday, September 21.
Mr. Clark was a former employee of Medart Lockers and Baldwin Piano in Greenwood and a former night watchman for the Town of North Carrollton. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church near Carrollton. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Wilson Clark and Dora Valera Moreland Clark; and a sister, Eloise Woods.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Shelia Henderson Clark of North Carrollton; daughter, Nancy Ruscoe of Greenwood; son, Thomas Matthew Clark of North Carrollton; sister, Willie Yopp of Grenada; brothers, Felton Clark of Arkansas and John Clarke of Ft. Worth, TX; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Clark will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, at New Bethel Baptist Church near Carrollton.

William "Billy" Hunt
(August 21, 1959 - November 20, 2014)
Funeral services for William "Billy" Hunt, 55, of Poplar Creek will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Bethsaida cemetery near French Camp. Rev. Terry Corley will officiate the services.
Mr. Hunt, a registered forester, died at his residence on Thursday, November 20. He was born icon in Mobile, Alabama, on August 21, 1959, to Luther and Mary Garrett Hunt.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife, Glenda, of Poplar Creek; two children, Ava Lee Joyce Hunt and Austin Hunt of Poplar Creek; his mother, Mary Hunt of Fairhope, AL; three sisters, Linda Baggett of Robertsdale, AL, Carol Barrett of Daphne, AL, Janet Morris of Jasper, AL; and one brother, Randy Hunt of Robertsdale, AL.
Pallbearers will be Larry Jefcoat, Kenny Britton, James Cliburn, Phillip Giles, Jerry McElroy, and Danny Petelinsky. Honorary pallbearer will be Josh Butler..
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
