Amanda and Lucas Davis

The Gold Hill Lutheran Church was the scene for the June 19, 2010, wedding of Amanda Housman and Lucas Davis. Officiate was Pastor Merv Olson.

Parents of the couple are Gary and Vicky Housman of Whitehall, and Wayne and Secily Davis of Butte.

Wedding attendants were Kim Hertin, maid of honor; Seth Hertin, best man; Jami Housman, Kate Welch, Krystin Slater, Sara Sundberg and Lacey Cleveland, bridesmaids; Jay Clark, Cole Davis, Dwayne Taylor, Dan Harrington and Jon Cleveland, groomsmen; Jacob Housman and Andrew Housman, ushers; Annabelle Welch, flower girl; and Carter Cleveland, ringbearer.

The reception was held at the historic Front Street Station.

Amanda is a hair stylist; Lucas works for Northwest Pipe Fittings.

Following a honeymoon to Coeur d'Alene, the newlyweds are living in Butte.

Lacey and Jenny Degnan

Jenny Hartz and Lacey Degnan were married on July 3, 2010, during an outdoor ceremony at the Ueland family ranch in Brown's Gulch. Officiating the ceremony was Judge Bob Lee. Vows were also blessed on Dec. 28, 2010, by Father Bill Lucas at Holy Infant Catholic Church in Birmingham, Ala.

Parents of the couple are Clara Hartz and the late Harry Hartz of Butte, Jim and Brenda Degnan of Comer, Ga., and Joan Degnan of Athens, Ga.

Guests followed a natural trail bordered by shepherd hooks and fresh cut lilacs as they walked around a pond and onto the ceremony site atop a sacred hill overlooking lush hayfields. Vows were exchanged under Montana's legendary big sky. Seating was provided by linen covered straw bales. The aisle was embellished with flowered stanchions and swags of white satin. Among the special guests was the bride's grandmother, the late Ellie Hartz. Vocalist was Julie Brinton. Readings were performed by Martha Cooney-Simonich of Butte and Chris Watson of Scotland.

Escorted by her brother, John Hartz and mother, Clara Hartz, the bride wore an ivory Priscilla of Boston satin wedding gown. Her bouquet contained white roses, white lilies and dendrobium orchids.

Maids of honor were the bride's sisters, Heidi Hartz of Baltimore and Amy Hartz of Bozeman. Bridesmaids were Kari Hoscheid of Butte, Shannon Brunell of Bozeman, Camille Everett of Minneapolis, Kelsey McIntyre of Seattle and Kelsy Mullowney of Denver. They were dressed in strapless,

eggplant, tea-length dresses. Best men were Greg Sundberg and Dave Best of Missoula, Chip Hewgley of Atlanta and Brock Sunderland of Madison, N.Y. Ushers were John Hartz and Dan Ingram of Missoula. Mary Stirett and Brooke Best served as flower girls. Jack Keeley served as ringbearer.

An outdoor reception immediately followed on-site. While seated under white tents, guests enjoyed a formal Southern barbecue dinner. Beverage service was provided by the Metal's Bank. The dance floor was illuminated under the clear sky with hanging paper lanterns. DJ music was provided by selections of the couple. Campfires were lit for guests to indulge in s'mores. Many of the couple's family and friends from Montana, Alabama and around the nation shared in the fun. At the end of the night, the couple exited to

Green Day's "Time of Your Life."

The couple currently lives and works in Birmingham, Ala. Lacey is vice president for Global Recruiters Network, and Jenny is a certified physician's assistant for Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Specialists. A delayed honeymoon is planned.

Sarah and Matt St. Germaine

The Quarter Circle LH Ranch in White Sulphur Springs was the scene for the Aug. 14, 2010, wedding of Sarah Farrow and Matt St. Germaine. The ceremony was performed by Pastor Michael Borge.

Sarah is the daughter of Rande and JoAnn Farrow of Butte. Matt is the son of Keith and Rebecca Leger of White Sulphur Springs.

Laura Hanson was maid of honor and bridesmaid was Lindsey Flint. Carolyn St. Germaine was the flower girl. Dan St. Germaine stood as best man and groomsman was Loren Zarr. Ringbearers were Matthew and Clayton St. Germaine.

Among the wedding guests were the bride's grandparents, Bud Barningham and Shirley Farrow, and the groom's grandparents, Libby Petterson, Dan St. Germaine and Dorothy Bradley.

Sara earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Montana Tech and is working as a registered nurse at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. Matt received bachelor's degree in electrical

engineering and general engineering from Montana Tech. He is working as an electrical engineer and project manager at AECOM.

A moment of silence was honored in remembrance of loved ones unable to attend the wedding, particularly the bride's late grandparents, June Barningham and Ted Farrow.

Following a honeymoon to Kauai, Hawaii, the newlyweds are living in Richland, Wash.

Morgan and Maryam McMullin

On Nov. 9, 2010, in Maui, Hawaii, Morgan McMullin, the son of Paul and Karen McMullin, and grandson of Carol McMullin, all of McAllister, wed Maryam Nowakhtar, the daughter of Shahrir and Sima Nowakhtar, of Santa Monica, Calif.

Morgan is a University of California-Santa Cruz graduate and is a commercial real estate specialist with Investment Real Estate Associates. Maryam is a University of California-Berkeley graduate and is completing her four-year pharmacy degree with the University of Southern California. The couple resides in Santa Monica.

The wedding was a family-only affair and a blissful week was enjoyed by all.

Jody and Wes Pennington

The Copper Bowl at the Finlen Hotel was the scene for the Aug. 29, 2010, wedding of Jody Arneson and Wes Pennington.

Their parents are Rick and Patty Arneson of Anaconda, and Ken and Linda Wood of Deer Lodge. Grandmother is Jackie Wood.

A reception was held in the Treasure State Ballroom.

In the bridal line were Harmony Hake, maid of honor; Sheri Nelson, matron of honor; Laurie Lundwall, Brandi Lammi, Kim McCauley and Jaylene Craddock, bridesmaids; and Madi Jo Arneson and Emily Arneson, junior bridesmaids. Attending the groom were Randy Pennington, best man; Joe Pennington, Will Hogan, Jason Arneson, Bob Pennington and Cory Dutton, groomsmen; and Jarrett Pennington, ringbearer.

Chris and Demetra Heinrich

Demetra Ali Davis and Christopher Francis Heinrich were united in holy matrimony on July 9, 2010, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Butte. Officiating were Father Tim Clancy, S.J., and Deacon Dan McGrath. Father Clancy was the new couple's class advisor at Gonzaga University in Spokane.

Demetra is the daughter of Don and Theo Davis of Butte, and Chris is the son of Tom and Joan Heinrich of Baudette, Minn.

Bridal attendants were Katie Mulcaire-Jones, maid of honor, and Leah Cornish, and Madeline Heinrich, sister of the groom. Attending the groom were Emmett Tribolet, best man, and Zachary Olson and Russell Davis, brother of the bride.

Johnna Beatty, cousin of the bride, Molly McEwen, and John and Judith Mountin, the groom's uncle and aunt, performed readings at the ceremony. Alex and Ella Davis, and Aleckxi Dorhofer, all cousins of the bride, tended the guest book and

distributed programs. Many of the couple's Gonzaga classmates attended the nuptials.

A reception was held at the War Bonnet Hotel. The exceptional efforts made by Chef Joe Tomich and the War Bonnet staff, and by Demetra's great aunt, Maria Hristou, made the evening very special. The new couple's first dance was a tango performed to "Guitarra Mia" by Hugo Diaz.

Special guests included grandparents, Ron and Darlene Davis and Joe and Zoe Harstead, all of Butte, and Martin and Helene Heinrich of Baudette. In addition, the bride's aunt and cousin, from Aigio, Greece, Elpi and Iro Mouriki, attended and led a traditional Greek dance during the celebration. Regrettably, Chris' grandmother, Arlene Mountin of Asheville, N.C., was unable to attend.

Demetra graduated from Butte High School in 2005 and from Gonzaga University in 2009 with a degree in biology. She currently is attending medical school as part of the University of Washington WWAMI program. Chris graduated from Lake of the Woods High School in Baudette in 2005 and from Gonzaga University in 2009 with a degree in journalism. He is currently working while pursuing his writing career.

Upon graduating from Gonzaga University, the couple volunteered for one year with the International Humanity Foundation, serving as co-directors of orphanages and learning centers in Kenya, Thailand and Indonesia.

Following a brief honeymoon, the couple presently is living in Bozeman. Next year they will relocate to Seattle, while the bride finishes medical school.

Demetra and Chris hope to eventually settle in Montana.

Larissa and Kyle Olson

Larissa and Kyle Olson

Wed in a nuptial Mass Aug. 14, 2010, at Holy Spirit Church were Larissa Geach and Kyle Olson. Officiating was Deacon Dan McGrath.

Parents of the couple are Robert and Pam Geach, and Rusty and Pam Olson.

Wedding music was provided by Rene Crozby and Sean Robbins. Special readings were given by Karly Kambich-Lenoue and Aimee Stagnoli.

Brittany Popovich was the maid of honor and bridesmaids were Nicolle Phillips, Britney Davis, Kayla Matich, Bryn Smith, Amanda Stajcar and Clarissa Stajcar. They wore short black satin dresses with white in the middle and pearls. The flower girls, Kodie Hoagland, Alli Stajcar, Evyn Smith and Mckayla Burt wore black and white summer dresses with pearls.

RJ Olson and Andy Olson served as best men, and groomsmen were Tyler Sorich, Cole Davis, Zack Stajcar, Kyle Shea, Kade Geach, Matt Stajcar and Jim Pat Smith. Guest were seated by Nick Sandord and Casey Kelly. Ringbearers were Coyt Stajcar and Carter Flink.

Among the guests were grandparents, Tina and John Stajcar and Marie Rahia.

The reception was held at the Butte Saddle Club.

A graduate of Butte High School, Larissa is working toward a bachelor's degree in accounting from Devry University and working at Allstate Insurance. A graduate of Butte Central High School, Kyle works for Montana Resources.

Following a honeymoon to Cozumel, Mexico, the newlyweds are living in Butte.

Shawn and Ivy Fredrickson

Shawn Matthew Fredrickson and Ivy Newman became husband and wife in a July 24, 2010, outdoor ceremony held at

3060 Atherton Lane, home of the bride's parents, with Bob Brock as the officiate. The bride is the daughter of William and Marissa Newman. Ivy wore a lace and sequined gown with a necklace that belonged to her maternal grandmother. She was attended by her cousin, Athena Ehnot, as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Megan Fredrickson, sister of the groom, and Lisa Newman, sister-in-law of the bride. The bride's niece, Lily Newman, was the flower girl.

The groom is the son of Dan and Barb Fredrickson of Butte. Shawn was attended by Bart Mihailovich, best man, and groomsmen were Josh Walsh, friend of the groom, and Lucas Newman, brother of the bride. The bride's cousins, Antonio and Max Wellman, and the groom's cousins, Brian and Bob Cronnelly, seated guests. Among the wedding guests were the bride's grandmother, Laura Newman, and the groom's grandfather, Jug Cronnelly and his wife, Gloria. The ceremony music was by Gloria Clark on keyboard, along with her three student violinists.

During the ceremony, a reading was given by cousins of the couple, Austin Cronnelly and Nick Ehnot. The newlyweds were taken to the reception in a convertible driven by Joe Leskovar. The reception, held at the Butte Country Club, featured a formal dinner and music by Eric "Fingers" Ray.

Shawn and Ivy are both graduates of Butte High School. Ivy received her undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon and is in her last year of law school at Lewis and Clark College. Shawn received his degree from Montana Tech. The couple lives in Portland, Ore. Shawn and Ivy honeymooned in Hawaii in early November.

Cody and Jodie Thompson

Cody Charles Thompson and Jodie Lynn Vuicich joined hands in marriage Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at St. Timothy's Chapel, Georgetown Lake. Officiate was the Rev. Sally Ralston.

Parents of the couple, all of Anaconda, are John and Jeanne Vuicich, and Tony and Cindy Thompson.

Bridal attendants were Kim Jones, maid of honor; Avala Kovacich, Miranda Liedle, Joelyn Jurcich, Daridee Moodry, Heather Blando and Shyla Ressler, bridesmaids; and Madison Lodell, flower girl.

DJ Prosenick stood as best man and groomsmen were Dave Wolfe, Phil Sundberg, Don Jones, Dale Harris, Ed Jones and Roger Wyant. Ringbearer was Bradley Wolfe.

The reception was at Smitty's Barn and catered by K & R BBQ.

Jodie is a registered nurse at Community Hospital of Anaconda, and Cody is the owner of Giddy Up Tack & Feed.

The bridal pair honeymooned at the Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island in the Bahamas. They are now living in Anaconda.

Lindsay and Jay LeProwse

In a candlelight ceremony June 5, 2010, at St. Ann's Church, Lindsay Thatcher and Jay LeProwse became husband and wife before the Rev. Thomas Haffey.

Lindsay is the daughter of Mike and Debbie Thatcher of Butte. Her husband is the son of Jim LeProwse and Judy LeProwse, both of Butte.

The main wedding flowers were roses.

Matron of honor and maid of honor were the bride's sisters, Sarah Stepan and Kelci Thatcher, and bridesmaids were Marcie Jany, Annie Sutton, Jessica Moe, Katie McGree and Marcy Samuelson. Flower girls were Kloie Thatcher, Sofee Thatcher, Grace LeProwse and Mattie Stepan. Serving as best men were Mike Morgan and Kyle Smith, and groomsmen were Jimmy LeProwse, Jeff LeProwse, Jerry LeProwse, Dan Thatcher and Bobby Fivey. Guests were seated by Matt Stepan, Homer Thatcher and Josh LeProwse. Ringbearers were Cutter Thatcher and Will Stepan.

A reception was held at the Maroon Activities Center. Among the guests were grandmothers, Bernice Morris and Helen LeProwse.

Lindsay earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Montana Tech. She is a registered nurse. Jay received his bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health from Montana Tech, and is a risk manager.

After honeymooning in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, the newlyweds are living in Butte.

Reilly-Farren

Plans for a May 1, 2010, wedding are being made by Arliss Reilly and Robert Farren. Parents of the couple, all of Butte, are James and Donna Reilly, and Patricia and Daniel Farren.

Arliss is a graduate of Montana State University. Robert graduated from Montana Tech. The ceremony will take place at the Butte Country Club.

Kump-Yelvington

The wedding of Dixie Kump and YungBen Yelvington is planned for June 26, 2010. Their parents are John and Terri Kump of Butte, and David and Millie Yelvington of Billings.

Hauk-McArthur

Joining hands in marriage May 22, 2010, will be Michelle Hauk and Mark McArthur. She is the daughter of Ed and Judy Hauk of Butte, and John and Glenda Duhame of Ramsay. He is the son of John McArthur and the late Rosemarie McArthur of Butte.

Carlson-Girtin

Gary and Sherry Carlson of Clancy announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Lara Diane, to Chris Girtin, son of Mark and Ann Girtin of Centennial, Colo.

Lara is a 2000 graduate of Jefferson High School, a 2005 graduate of the University of Denver and is a licensed CPA working for Pricewaterhouse-Coopers LLP. Chris is a 1997 graduate of Littleton High School and graduated from Colorado State University in 2001. He is employed by American Residential Communities. They both currently live in Denver.

A June 19, 2010, wedding is planned in Big Sky.

Fleming-Hartwig

Tyler Fleming will take Jennifer Hartwig as his bride on May 21, 2010, in the Gold Hill Lutheran Church. The couple's parents are Carl and Karen Hartwig of Butte, Karin and Bill Andrus of Bruce Crossing, Mich., and the late Ed Fleming.

Kristi and Ryan Richards

In an outdoor ceremony Sept. 19, 2009, at Clark Park, Kristi Mueller and Ryan Richards joined hands in marriage.

Kristi is the daughter of Dan and Connie Mueller of Butte. Ryan is the son of Maggie Ryan of Butte and Bill and Connie Richards of Sheridan.

Maid of honor was Holly Johnson and bridesmaids were Megan Johnson, Misty Cunningham, Hilja Mueller, Amanda Scarff, Jessica Rodgers and Erin Hackman. Junior bridesmaids were Allyson and Natalee Mueller, Ashton Whitehead and Kieran Scarff. Flower girl was the couple's daughter, Dakohata Richards.

Serving as best man was Marc Richards and groomsmen were Kevin Mueller, Chris Wold, Greg Keller, Joe Wall, John Suraco and Nick Lehti. Guests were seated by Barry Waddell and Jake Cole. Ringbearers were Jaiden and Jordan Richards.

Among the wedding guests were the bride's grandparents, Audrey Bukema and Irwin Mueller.

Mary Ryan of Laurel sang for the wedding ceremony and the reception guests were entertained by DJ Wade Johnson.

Reception guests were greeted at the Butte Vigilante Saddle Club.

Kristi attended Butte High and Montana Tech and is employed by Bob Ward and Sons. Ryan attended Butte High School and works for Whalen Tire.

A delayed spring honeymoon is planned. The couple is living in Butte.

Ayres-Edwards

Miranda Marie Ayres and Christopher Stone Edwards will wed July 31, 2010. She is the daughter of Jim Ayres and Brenda Ayres, both of Butte. He is the son of Christopher and Jane Edwards of Eureka, and Christine and Gordie Schultz of Mequon, Wis.

Miranda will be graduating in May from the University of Montana and Stone is currently in the nuclear program with the U.S. Navy in Charleston, S.C. The ceremony will take place in the historic St. Lawrence O’Toole Church.

Weightman-Wick

A summer wedding is being planned by Cassie Weightman and Jon Wick. Their parents are Kerry and Rita Weightman of Whitehall, and Bill Wick and Diane Hansen of Wisconsin.

Carriger-Holland

Alycia Holland, daughter of Patrick and Karen Holland, and Jaison Carriger, son of Rick and Paula Carriger, will wed July 17, 2010, at St. Ann's Church. Alycia attended Montana State University and Jaison attended the University of Montana.

Courtney-Thormann

Ann and Jim Courtney of Butte announce the engagement of their son, Marcus, to Monique Thormann, daughter of Peter and Mary Thormann, Washington, D.C. A May 29, 2010, wedding is planned at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Washington, D.C.

Marcus is a 1989 graduate of Butte High School and graduated in 1993 from the University of Montana Davidson Honors College. Marcus heads the telecom sector of UNI Global Union. Monique graduated high school from the American Embassy School in New Delhi, India. She received her bachelor's from Brandeis University in Boston, Mass., and her master's from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York. Monique is an international aid consultant. The couple currently resides in Nyon, Switzerland.
