LUMBERTON -- Bennie Locklear, 90, of Lumberton died Friday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Branch Street United Methodist Church by the Revs. Joel G. Locklear, Simeon F. Cummings and Crites Oxendine. Burial will be in the Locklear family cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Revels Funeral Home of Pembroke.
Mr. Locklear is survived by two sons, Henderson “H.B.” Bullard of Lumberton and Harold Baker; a sister, Annie R. Locklear of Pembroke; four brothers, Dermon Locklear, David Locklear, Will Locklear and Chalmers Locklear, all of Pembroke; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Corina Shaw (Dated Sunday, March 1, 1998)
WINSTON-SALEM -- Mrs. Corina Shaw, 75, of No. 6, 3411 Old Vineyard Road, formerly of Dunn, died Saturday in her home.

MAXTON -- Thurman Dillanger McCallum, 61, of Maxton died Saturday in Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg.

SHANNON -- James Fairley “Joe” Bell Sr., 56, of Shannon died Friday in Vass.

Miss Annie F. Woodson (Dated Sunday, March 1, 1998)
Miss Annie Froby Woodson, 83, of 1645 Inverness Drive, Fayetteville, died Thursday in Columbia Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Hood Memorial AME Zion Church and was retired from Fayetteville Technical Community College.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Hood Memorial AME Zion Church by the Rev. Fredrick Hendley. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
Miss Woodson is survived by three sons, Mark Woodson of Pfafftown, Jerry Woodson of Birmingham, Ala. and Larry Woodson of Fayetteville; two sisters, Elizabeth Watson of Portsmouth, Va. and Elvira Taylor of New York; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Wiseman Mortuary.
Thomas Chisolm Jr. (Dated Sunday, March 1, 1998)
Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class Thomas Chisolm Jr., 65, of 6109 Kimbrook Drive, Fayetteville, died Friday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was retired from the Fayetteville State University Police Department after 18 years.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Wesley Chapel AME Zion Church in Lillington by the Rev. Leroy Smith. Burial with full military honors will be in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
Mr. Chisolm is survived by his wife, Annette Dixon Chisolm; three sisters, Della Chisolm, Mary Harry and Martha Holmes, all of Wamessee, S.C.; and a brother, Saul Chisolm of Wamessee.
The public will be received today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary.
Mrs. Dorothy F. Bush (Dated Sunday, March 1, 1998)
ELIZABETHTOWN -- Mrs. Dorothy Faye Bush, 62, of 708 Ashe St. died Thursday in Elizabethtown Nursing Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in St. James AME Zion Church in Kelly by the Rev. James Knox. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Kelly.
Mrs. Bush is survived by two sons, Rodney Simpson of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Kevin Simpson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a daughter, Michelle Simpson of Goldsboro; her mother and stepfather, Lillie and Ulice Bordeaux of Kelly; her father, Telphia Beatty of Kelly; two sisters, Elouise Brown of Kelly and Anita McKoy of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Artis Beatty of Brooklyn and Telphia Beatty Jr. of Charlotte; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 1 to 8 p.m. at F.W. Newton and Sons Mortuary.
Robert E. Bridgers Sr. (Dated Monday, March 16, 1998)
ROWLAND -- Former Mayor Robert Evans Bridgers Sr., 83, of 505 W. Chapel St. died Sunday in McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, S.C.
Mr. Bridgers was mayor of Rowland from 1978-86. He was the owner and operator of Bridgers Distributing Co. for more than 33 years, and was an elder for Ashpole Presbyterian Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Ashpole Presbyterian Church by the Rev. William Link. Burial will be in Rowland Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Floyd Funeral Services of Fairmont.
Mr. Bridgers is survived by a son, Robert E. “Bob” Bridgers Jr. of Rowland; two daughters, Beth Lewis of Fairmont and Jane Burgdorf of Greenwood, S.C.; two brothers, Col. Walter Bridgers of Whispering Pines and Leon D. Bridgers of Rowland; and six grandchildren.

DUNN -- Carl Thomas Barefoot, 43, of Route 1 died Saturday in Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
He was a linesman for R.H. Bouli Construction Co.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Kenneth Elwood. Burial will be in Strickland Cemetery.
Mr. Barefoot is survived by his wife, Leola A. Barefoot of Dunn; two daughters, Tammy D. Barefoot and Kathy B. Godwin, both of Angier; a son, Shane Beasley of Autryville; a stepson, Jeffrey E. Whitman of Dunn; his mother, Cornelia W. Barefoot of Dunn; his father, John J. Barefoot of Dunn; four brothers, Johnny Barefoot and Marvin Barefoot, both of Angier, and Lloyd Barefoot and Terry Barefoot, both of Dunn; two sisters, Diana G. Nunnery of Fayetteville and Evelyn Holder of Dunn; and two grandchildren.

BENSON -- Mrs. Ilar Hayes McLamb, 93, of 1691 Holly Grove Church Road died Saturday in Britthaven of Harnett nursing home in Dunn.
She was a homemaker and a member of Holly Grove Advent Christian Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Rose & Graham Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. Ronnie LaFevers and Ed Gillespie. Entombment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. McLamb is survived by two sons, Lloyd “Pete” McLamb and Jimmy McLamb, both of Benson; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
