Arrangements will be announced by Morris Funeral Home.

Nancy F. Rozier (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

LUMBERTON -- Ms. Nancy Fields Rozier, 84, of 3900 Barker Ten Mile Road died Tuesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Ten Mile Baptist Church by Dr. Michael Arnette and the Rev. Vernon Britt. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Ms. Rozier is survived by a son, Randy Rozier of Lumberton; two daughters, Sue West and Patsy Carter, both of Lumberton; a sister, Theo Bartlett of LaBelle, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory.

Memorials may be made to Ten Mile Baptist Church, S.R. 1924, Lumberton, N.C.

Wilma B. Moses (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

SOUTHERN PINES -- Mrs. Wilma M. Baldwin Moses, 79, of 609 S. Glover St. died Wednesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Arrangements will be announced by Purcell Funeral Home.

Everett C. Merrill (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

Everett Charles Merrill, 66, of Fayetteville died Sunday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

Mr. Merrill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Merrill is survived by his wife, Andrea A. Merrill of Fayetteville; a son, David C. Merrill of Cary; two daughters, Kathleen Stevens of St. Charles, Ill., and Julie Merrill of Salt Lake City; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.

Alvin Mercer (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

PEMBROKE -- Alvin Mercer, 68, of 405 Cherokee St. died Sunday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. today in Harpers Ferry Baptist Church by the Revs. Gary Revels, Gary Thompson and Ricky Locklear. Burial will be in the Hammonds family cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Locklear & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Mercer is survived by his wife, Maggie L. Mercer of Pembroke; a son, Alvin J. Mercer of Pembroke; two daughters, Angela L. Revels of Hiddenite and Alvina Oxendine of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, John A. Mercer of Searcy, Ark., and Archie ‘‘Buck’’ Haggans of Lumberton; two sisters, Evelyn M. Morrow of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Magdalene Judy of Baltimore; and seven grandchildren.

Margaret K. McGill (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

HOPE MILLS -- Mrs. Margaret Patricia Kavahagh McGill, 75, of 3605 Bolt Drive died Monday in Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg.

Mrs. McGill was a nurse for several years.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Reeves Funeral Home chapel by Father Edward J. Kita. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Main Post Cemetery on Fort Bragg.

Mrs. McGill is survived by four daughters, Patricia Muscio of Santa Maria, Calif., Colleen Philipps of Parkton, Bridgid MacSeoin of Washington, D.C., and Kerry Kennedy of Maxton; a son, Daniel McGill of Hope Mills; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Kenneth C. Lindell (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

Retired Army 1st Sgt. Kenneth C. Lindell of 7536 Bridgeman Drive, Fayetteville, died Wednesday in Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg.

Arrangements will be announced by Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.

LUMBERTON -- Oakley Homer ‘‘O.H.’’ Lewis Jr., 66, of 349 Shawn Road died Wednesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

Johnny R. Leggett (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

ROWLAND -- Johnny R. Leggett, 48, of 2610 N.C. 130 West died Wednesday in Family Care Home.

Alexandria Ledbetter (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

FAIRMONT -- Miss Alexandria Ledbetter, 6, of 407B Meadow Wood Apt. died Wednesday in Powell Care Center in Greenville.

Arrangements will be announced by Community Funeral Home.

Martha C. Bingham (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

LAURINBURG -- Mrs. Martha Covington Bingham, 86, of 632 Carl Drive died Saturday in Autumn Care of Raeford.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Matthew Chapel AME Zion Church by the Rev. Anthony Ford. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bingham is survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Morris Funeral Home.

Varser Kinlaw (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

LUMBERTON -- Varser Kinlaw, 85, of Lumberton died Tuesday in Beverly Health Care.

Mr. Kinlaw was an Army veteran of World War II.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in New Hollywood Cemetery by the Rev. Worth Gerald.

Mr. Kinlaw is survived by his wife, Betty S. Kinlaw of the home; two brothers, James A. Kinlaw of Parkton and David E. Kinlaw of Lumberton; and three sisters, Eva L. Smith of Hallsboro, Virginia D. Hall of Hampton, Va., and Leia Perry of Lumberton.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Biggs Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Shanita A. Jackson (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

Ms. Shanita A. Jackson, 21, of 2905-E6 Dwelle Drive, Fayetteville, died Tuesday.

The family will receive friends at 3010-B Scarlett Place.

Lee R. Ivey (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

ORRUM -- Lee Randolph Ivey, 77, of 1480 Bethesda Church Road died Tuesday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

Mr. Ivey was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Bethesda United Methodist Church by the Rev. Richard Sharp. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife, Christine I. Ivey of the home; three sons, Jerry Sealey of the home and Randy Sealey and Alwyn Sealey, both of Orrum; three daughters, Donna I. Anchier of Clayton, Chaunda I. Brown of North Raleigh and Delores Prevatte of Fairmont; a brother, Doc Ivey of Raeford; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Memorials may be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church, 8415 S. Creek Road, Orrum.

Gerard R. Heyer (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

Gerard R. Heyer, 43, of Fayetteville died Friday.

A memorial service will be at a later date in St. Francis Church in Rochester, Minn. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester. Arrangements are being handled by Highland Funeral Service & Crematory.

Mr. Heyer is survived by a brother, Thomas Heyer of Rockford, Ill.; and three sisters, Kathleen D. Froh of Apple Valley, Md., Roberta Heyer of Rochester and Deborah Heyer of Goleta, Calif.

Sylvina T. Hanrahan (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

SOUTHERN PINES -- Ms. Sylvina Tubbs Hanrahan, 88, of Southern Pines died Wednesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today in Village Chapel in Pinehurst by Chaplains Glen Miller and Henry Duncan. Arrangements are being handled by Powell Funeral Home.

Ms. Hanrahan is survived by two daughters, Susan H. Turben of Kirtland Hills, Ohio, and Mary H. Berlow of Buffalo, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Village Chapel, Village Green, Pinehurst, N.C. 28374.

Anna M. Fryar (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Mrs. Anna Mae Fryar, 81, of 134 Innis Ave., formerly of Delway, N.C., died Tuesday in Vassar Brothers Hospital.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Zion AME Zion Church in Delway by the Rev. A.D. Brown. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Fryar is survived by a daughter, Eunice Pierre of Poughkeepsie; a sister, Pearl Melvin of Dunn, N.C.; and two brothers, Harvey King of Clinton, N.C., and John H. King of Dunn.

The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home in Clinton.

HARRELLS -- Mrs. Ada Newton Fennell, 94, of 733 Bland School Road died Tuesday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Joey R. Faircloth (Dated Thursday, October 28, 1999)

CLINTON -- Joey Ross Faircloth, 49, of 75 Tornado Lane died Monday.

Mr. Faircloth was a member of Holly Grove Holiness Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday in Holly Grove Holiness Church by the Revs. Ricky Jacobs, Don Carter and Randy Simmons. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Faircloth is survived by his wife, Mary V. Faircloth of the home; seven daughters, Debbie Jacobs, Mary A. Simmons, Amy Faircloth, Beth Faircloth, Kiki Faircloth and Lisa Valdez, all of Clinton, and Lori Faircloth of Korea; a son, Joey Faircloth Jr. of Clinton; his stepmother, Myrtle Faircloth; a brother, Billy D. Faircloth of Wilmington; a sister, Melanie Waters of Virginia; and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

BLADENBORO -- Brunson Rudolph Davis, 75, of Heritage Mobile Home Park died Wednesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Lawson Cemetery by the Revs. Barley Moore and Baxter Lay.

Mr. Davis is survived by a son, Michael Davis of San Antonio; a sister, Bernice Carroll of Bladenboro; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
