Mrs. Mattie R. Robinson (dated Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1997)
CLINTON -- Mrs. Mattie Lee Revelle Robinson, 87, of 3758 Turkey Highway died Monday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Rowan Baptist Church and a homemaker.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rowan Baptist Church by the Revs. Gregory Day and Michael Shook. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Shirazi of Clinton; a son, Tommy Robinson of Clinton; a brother, Elwood Revelle of Warsaw; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Donnie C. Pone, 62, of N.C. 87, Fayetteville, died Saturday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Willis Creek AME Zion Church by the Rev. Ander L. Wright. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Paye Funeral Home.
Mr. Pone is survived by his wife, Helen Pone of Tar Heel; a daughter, Donetta Rollins of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sons, Joseph Pone of Fayetteville, and Eric Pone and Lorenzo Pone, both of Tar Heel; his mother, Annie M. McLean of Fayetteville; his stepmother, Irene Pone of Tar Heel; six brothers, William McLean of New London, Conn., Colon Pone, Douglas Pone, David Pone and Jerome Pone, all of St. Pauls, and Carl Pone of Fayetteville; six sisters, Dr. Helen Green of San Diego, Bessie McLean, Annie Anderson, Glenda Worley and Beulah Rozier, all of Fayetteville, and Edna Whitted of St. Pauls; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Helen Pone in Tar Heel.

LUMBERTON -- Mrs. Bessie Gardner, 78, of Lumberton died Friday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Burial will be in Elizabeth Heights Cemetery.
Mrs. Gardner is survived by a sister, Kathlene Davis of Washington, Miss.

SOUTHERN PINES -- Mrs. Bertha Earline Cooper, 65, of Glover Street died Friday.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by two daughters, Adria L. Brown of Dale City, Va., and Morinee Cooper of Atlanta; and three grandchildren.

CHADBOURN -- Mrs. Aileen Inman Noble, 78, of 89 Woodrow Noble Road died Monday in her home.

Mrs. Noble is survived by three sons, Billy G. Noble and Woodrow B. Noble, both of Chadbourn, and Barden W. Noble of Clarkton; a daughter, Barbara A. White of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a brother, Ned Inman of Whiteville; a sister, Opal Stevens of Whiteville; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Miss Dickinson is survived by two brothers, George H. Dickinson Jr. of Chapel Hill and James H. Dickinson of Fayetteville; and a sister, Mrs. Floyd “Piggie” Williams of Chapel Hill.

Hussey of Robbins and Susan V. Cole of Robbinsville; and two brothers, Eddie Valk of Eagle Springs and Terry Valk of Ellerbe.

Mr. Allen is survived by two daughters, Courtney Allen and Meredith Allen, both of Rockingham; a son, Wesley Allen of Rockingham; his mother, Patricia A. Allen of Rockingham; and three sisters, Jo L. Cloninger of Concord, Debra Peebles of Waxahachie, Texas, and Sandra K. Allen of Hamlet.
