VIRGINIA SHUSKEY LOPOSSAY
Virginia Shuskey Lopossay, 83, of Pittsboro died Thursday (11-10-2005) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, (11-12-2005) at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jerry Foley officiating. Burial followed in Chatham Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lopossay was a native of Chatham County, a member of Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include daughters, Fannie Burke of Siler City, Doris Lopossay of Liberty; sisters, Cleo Telas of Albuquerque, N.M., Delene Long of Suffolk, Va., Estelle Bowers, Silk Hope; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
DANIEL WEBSTER BOULDIN
Daniel Webster Bouldin, 72, of Bennett, died Friday, (11-11-2005) at First Health Moore Regional in Pinehurst.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, (11-13-2005) at Bennett Baptist Church, with Rev. Tim Strider, Rev. Bob Bouldin and Billy Hussey officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Randolph Honor Guard, followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Brady, Jerry Kidd, Jerry Steele, Wayne Welch, Johnny Kidd and Roger Bouldin. Honorary pallbearers were Buck Ellis, Jerry Frye, Buddy Routh and Dwight Jones.
Mr. Bouldin was a native of Randolph County, an Army veteran and a poultry farmer. He was formerly associated with Chatham County Water System.
Survivors include his wife, Johnsie Kidd Bouldin of the home; son, Danny Bouldin of Athens, Ala.; daughters, Lana Boyd of Columbia, S.C., Amy B. Dowdy of Bennett; brothers, Rev. James Bouldin of Siler City, Hal Bouldin of Greensboro; sister, Oberia Thomas of Asheboro; and eleven grandchildren.

DORIS JEAN ARVIN
Doris Jean Arvin, 81, of Siler City died at SunBridge Care Facilities on Tuesday, (11-01-2005).
Graveside services and burial was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, (11-05-2005) at Oakwood Cemetery with Father Pedro De Oliveira, officiating.
Mrs. Arvin was a native of Kansas City, KS., a member of St. Julia’s Parrish and was retired from UNC Hospitals.
Surviving is one son, Thomas A. Smither of Siler City.
ANTHONY PHILLIP DeSIMONE
Anthony Phillip DeSimone, 76, of Goldston died Wednesday, (11-02-2005) at his home.
Mr. DeSimone was a native of Bronx, NY, a poultry farmer and a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Boffo DeSimone of Goldston; daughter, Marie D. Kansman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; sons, John DeSimone, Michael DeSimone, Thomas DeSimone, all of the home; sister, Teresa D. Urrico of Coran, Long Island, NY; and one granddaughter.
CLYDE HOMER McLAURIN
Clyde Homer McLaurin, 78, of Siler City died Wednesday, (11-02-2005) at Cambridge Hills in Pittsboro.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, (11-04-2005) at Rives Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Soblotne and Rev. J. L. Shoun, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. McLaurin was a member of Rives Chapel Baptist Church and a poultry and cattle farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Lizzie (Pat) Womble McLaurin; son, Thomas A. McLaurin; and daughter, Wilma M. Perry, all of Siler City.
WAYNE ELMER PIKE
Wayne Elmer Pike, 64, of Siler City, died Wednesday (11-02-2005) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, (11-12-2005) at the family home, 885 Buck Gunter Road, Siler City.
Mr. Pike was a native of Surry County, a Baptist and was employed with Pike’s Construction Company.
Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Y. Small of Asheboro; son, Christopher Wayne Pike of Winston-Salem; stepchildren, Terry Lynn Combs of Lexington, Mike Sumner of Pittsboro, Latisha (Sissy) Barney of High Point, Debbie Lowman of Thomasville, Tim Sumner of High Point; sister, Carrie P. Mackey of Mt. Airy; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nine step-grand-children and four step-great-grandchildren.
ELBERT RAY (PETE) DAVIS
Elbert Ray (Pete) Davis, 71, of Siler City, died Friday, (11-04-2005) at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services were held Sunday, (11-06-2005) at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, Bear Creek with Rev. Val Chad-wick, and Rev. Mark Gaskins officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Davis was a native of Warren County, TN. He worked for the Country Store, was a meat cutter, and member of Sandy Branch Baptist Church where he was in the church choir, a deacon, and teacher of the Lee Emerson Sunday school class.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Moore Davis of Siler City; sons, Kenneth R. Davis of Mesa, AZ., Wyatt Lee Davis of Roxboro, Tony Eugene Davis of Siler City; daughters, Beth Kinlaw of Aberdeen, Jan Wilkie of Goldston; brothers, Aubra Willis Davis of Bennett, William Edward Davis of Ridge Top, TN.; sisters, Austia Lamb of Bear Creek, Mary Ola Thurman of Staley; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

JACK GREGORY TALBOTT
Jack Gregory Talbott, 47, of Staley, died Friday, (11-04-2005).
Memorial services were held at 4 p.m., Monday, (11-07-2005), at Springs Friends Meeting in Snow Camp with Gary Jones and Ronnie Osborne, officiating.
Mr. Talbott was a native of Onslow County and a member of Springs Friends Meeting. He was employed with Aconcagua Timber Corporation.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Vollrath of Staley; sons, Ben Talbott of the home; Matthew Talbott of Liberty; daughter, Jessie Talbott of the home; mother, Carolyn McDuffie Talbott of Sanford; sisters, Terrie Gunter of Sanford, Susan Hamilton of Park City, UT.; and brother, Tim Talbott of Sanford.

CEVIL RUSSELL WICKER
Cevil Russell Wicker, 89, of Siler City died Sunday, (11-06-2005) at Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro.
Graveside services and burial were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, (11-08-2005) at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Cemetery, Siler City.
Mr. Wicker was a native of Chatham County and attended First Wesleyan Church. He was retired from Hadley-Peoples Manufacturing.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lemons Wicker of Siler City; daughter, Janice W. Oldham, Siler City; son, Jimmy R. Wicker, Lexington; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.

BESSIE P. SILER
Bessie P. Siler, 89, of Siler City died Thursday, (11-03-2005) at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, (11-06-2005) at Gees Grove A.M.E. Zion Church with Rev. Allen Moore officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Siler was a native of Chatham County, a homemaker, and a member of Gees Grove Church.
Survivors include a son, Randy L. Siler of Hampton, Va.; sisters, Louise Brodie, Evelyn Siler, Blondean Jordan, Helen Glover, all of Siler City; brothers, Thurl Price, Jawade Price, both of Siler City; and two grandchildren.
TRAVIS LYNN HILL
Travis Lynn Hill, 27, of Seagrove, died Saturday, (11-05-2005) at Memphis Trauma Center, Memphis, Tenn.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (11-09-2005) at Fall Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Gelsthorpe and Rev. James Cochran officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hill was a native of Moore County, where he attended Northmore High School. He was a driver for Routh Transportation, Inc. of Climax.
Survivors include his mother, Nancy Frye Hill of the home; father, Billy Hill of Kernersville; brother, Bryan Hill of Seagrove; and grandmother, Bonnie Hill of Bennett.
FLOYD ALLEN WALTERS
Floyd Allen Walters, 37, of Gulf died Saturday, (11-05-2005) at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Graveside services and burial were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, (11-09-2005) at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery , with Rev. Garland Foushee officiating.
Mr. Walters was a native of Orange County, and was a sheet metal worker.
Survivors include a daughter, Candy Marie Walters of Moncure; mother, Elsie Jean Ainsworth; father, Richard Floyd Walters, Jr; brother, Paul Marcel Walters of Rockingham; and sister, Nanzetta Michelle Walters of Bear Creek.
LUCILLE “LUCY” DARK
Lucille “Lucy” Dark, 84, of Clover, S.C., died Sunday, (11-06-2005) at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, (11-09-2005), at Green funeral service, South Chapel, in Gastonia, with Rev. David Payne, Rev. Dan James and Rev. Chris DiCiaccio officiating. Burial followed at 4:30 p.m. at Brown’s Chapel Church Cemetery, Pittsboro, with Rev. Ray Gooch, officiating.
Mrs. Dark was a native of Blairsville, Ga., and attended Plainview Baptist Church in Dallas.
Survivors include Gladys Green of Gastonia, Neppie Bumgardner of Clover, S.C.; brother, Johnny Petty of Kings Mtn.; and eight grandchildren.
