Laura Faye Davis
Laura Faye Davis, formerly of Garner, NC, died Thursday, April 21st, 2005.
She is survived by her husband, Mack; daughters, Cheyenne and Cierra Smith; parents, Charles and Wanda Long of Raleigh, NC; sister, Beth and husband, Alan Strauss and their son, Ian of Tucson, AZ; grandmother, Rochelle Long of Zebulon, NC; mother-in-law, Betty Davis of Andrews, TX; brother-in-law, Keith Davis of Andrews, TX; loyal dog Jake; and numerous extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 24th, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 1201 Maxwell Dr., Raleigh, NC.

Lorener Jacobs Brayboy Belk
Sandra "Sandie Swinson Croom, 60, of Raleigh died June 9, 2005 at Rex Hosptial Hospice Unit.
Sandie is survived by her husband of 36 years, Dr. Clyde E. Croom; daughter, Candice Lane Croom; son Edward "Eddie" Lee Croom and wife, Emily Burkhard of Raleigh, NC. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Abigail "Abbie" Peace Croom and Maizie Gaia Croom; sister and brother-in-law, Kaye and Doug Massey of Mount Olive; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles "Charlie" and Elsie Swinson of Mt. Olive, and Steve and Virginia "Ginny" Swinson of Charlotte, as well as a large extended family and many beloved friends.
A funeral service was held June 13 at 11 a.m. at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 201 Dixie Trail, Raleigh. Burial follwed in Historic Oakwood Cemetery. The family greeted friends following the committal service at the gravesite.

Leo Gore
Leo Gore, 69, of Wendell, died early Saturday, April 23, 2005, at his home. Memorial service was Monday, April 25, at L. Harold Poole funeral service chapel, Knightdale.
He was born in Bladen County Oct. 16, 1935, son of the late Joseph Curtis Gore and Nora Cain Gore. He worked at Gore Hair Styling for 40 years and served his country in the U.S. Army with the 11th Airborne Division.
Surviving: wife, Jenny Sholar Gore; daughters, Allison G. Griffin and husband Stephen of Wendell, Laura G. Russell and husband Neil of Richmond Hill, Ga.; sons, Stephen M. Gore and wife Patty, and Mark S. Gore and wife Lisa of Middlesex; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Samuel Curtis Gore of Newport; sister, Myrtle G. Inman of Bladenboro.

Albert Randy Jones, 64, of Zebulon, died early Tuesday morning, April 19, 2005, at his home. funeral service was Thursday, April 21, at Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
He was a lover of birds and animals, and enjoyed making birdhouses. He was a practical joker and comic, and enjoyed gardening. He was owner and operator of Jones Construction Co. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Jones.
Surviving: wife, Betty P. Jones; son, Randall Lynn Jones; mother, Rosa Cooke Jones of Zebulon; sister, Betty Jones Bunn and husband Kirbie of Zebulon; brothers, Robert Jones and wife Jean of Zebulon, Joseph Jones of Zebulon, Marvin Jones and wife Brenda of Youngsville.

Barbara Simons Wiggins
Barbara Simons Wiggins, 81, of Wendell, formerly of Laurel Hills in Raleigh, died early Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Guardian Care of Zebulon after a lengthy illness. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
She was a homemaker and retired registered nurse for the state of North Carolina.
Surviving: children, Kathleen W. Height of Wendell, John Hobart Wiggins and wife Sherian P. Wiggins of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchild, Athena Kathleen Wiggins; brother, Hobart H. Simons of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sister, Frances S. Vader of Laguna Hills, Calif.; many nieces and nephews.

John Kelly Oglesby
John Kelly Oglesby, 51, of Raleigh, died Friday afternoon, April 22, 2005, at Rex Healthcare. Memorial service was Monday, April 25, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home chapel, Raleigh.
He was born in Raleigh December 8, 1953. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Moody Oglesby. He attended Barbee Elementary and Enloe High School. He volunteered for the U.S. Air Force in 1974 and trained at Lackland Air Force Base. He was a member of the elite guard at Strategic Air Command in Offnut Air Base, Wichita, Kan. He attended the U.S. FBI School on security in Quantico, Va., and served as a military trainer at San Antonio, Texas, Police Department. He was honorably discharged April 21, 1981, as a staff sergeant.
He worked as a self-employed building contractor in the Raleigh area and then became a caretaker of the Britt Arabian Horse Farm on Buffaloe Road for many years. For the last several years, he had been employed at the Home Depot in Midland, Texas, and the Raleigh Home Depot on Capital Boulevard.
Surviving: father, Tom Oglesby; sisters, Kay O. Fogg and husband Ed Fogg, DeAnn O. Simmons and husband David Simmons; brother, Tommy Oglesby; nieces, Kelli Fogg, Desirae Sias, Kristie Oglesby; nephews, Trey Fogg, David Simmons II, Chris Simmons; great-niece, Maddie Fogg; great-nephew, Nolan Fogg.
Grace DeLong Belcher
Grace DeLong Belcher, 78, of North Coventry, Pa., died Sunday evening, April 24, 2005, at her residence. funeral service will be Thursday, April 28, at Elverson United Methodist Church, Elverson, Pa. Burial will be in Morris Cemetery.
She was born in Plymouth, Pa., daughter of the late John and Elizabeth DeLong. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Belcher II; sisters, Margaret Brentwall, Clara Zimmerman and Susan Levine; brothers, John and Ralph DeLong; and great-granddaughter, Ashley Brewer.
She lived in Phoenixville, Pa., for 25 years before moving to Zebulon for 17.5 years. While in Zebulon, she was an active member of Zebulon United Methodist Church, and while in Pennsylvania was a member of Elverson United Methodist Church. She was a past president of the Zebulon United Methodist Church Women's Auxiliary, a past president of the Zebulon Lions Auxiliary, and taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the Busy Leisures Club of Elverson United Methodist Church.
Surviving: daughter, Ruth Ellen and husband John Brewer of North Coventry, Pa.; son, John W. "Jay" Belcher and husband Wendy Belcher of Phoenixville, Pa.; sister, Lois Kronmuller of Phoenixville, Pa.; four grandsons; three great-grandsons.

Helen L. Lyon, 52, of Wendell, died Monday, April 18, 2005. Funeral was Saturday, April 23, 2005, at William Toney's Funeral Home chapel, Zebulon. Burial was at Pleasant Grove Annex Cemetery.
Nathaniel Zane Winters
Nathaniel Zane Winters, 45, of Wake Forest, died Monday, April 18, 2005, at WakeMed. Graveside funeral service was Friday, April 22, at Falls Community Cemetery.
He was born in Wake County. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Winters Sr.; and brother, Fred Winters Jr.
Surviving: wife, Elaine Wilkins Winters; children, Nathan Winters and wife Brianne, and Katey Winters of Wake Forest; mother, Alice Hill and husband Wayne of Clayton; sisters, Freida Mathis and husband Gary of Roaring River, Phyllis Coats and husband Benjamin of Clayton, Susan Dean and husband Luther of Clayton; brother, Paul Winters and wife Missy of Knightdale; sister-in-law, Karen Winters of Wake Forest; a great-aunt and uncle; numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; employees at E-Z Plumbing.

Lettie Lou Jordan
Lettie Lou Johnson Jordan, 79, of Raleigh, died Wednesday evening, April 20, 2005, at Wellington Nursing Center in Knightdale. Graveside funeral rites were Sunday, April 24, at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Born in Raleigh February 3, 1926, she was the daughter of Pauline Simpkins Johnson and M. Tom Johnson. She married Joseph Alton Jordan Sept. 19, 1947, at Edenton Street United Methodist Church. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from Martin Marietta Materials in 1991, after more than 40 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965; and brother, Worth Johnson.
Surviving: daughter, Joan J. Urmson and husband Linn; granddaughter, Kelley J. Hawley and husband Wayne; twin great-granddaughters, Mandy and Kristy Hawley; great-grandson, Marshal Hawley; sister, Doris J. Covington and husband Harry.
