James Edward Williamson
James Edward Williamson, 78, of 165 West Williamson Road, died early Saturday morning, August 21, at his home.
A graveside funeral service was held Sunday, August 22, at 1 p.m. in the Southerland Family Cemetery on West Williamson Road with the Rev. Donald K. Stewart officiating.
In addition to flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Rones Chapel United Methodist Church, 138 Garner Chapel Road, Mount Olive 28365 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 925, Goldsboro 27533.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Mount Olive.

MAGNOLIA - Edd Dudley Monk, 101, of the Stanford community, Magnolia, died on Thursday, August 19, at the Sampson Regional Medical Center, Clinton.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, August 24, at 11 a.m. from the New First Baptist Church, Highway 11 South, Kenansville. Entombment will follow in the Monk Family Cemetery, Highway 903, Stanford Community, Magnolia.
Arrangements were by Rose Hill Funeral Home Service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edd Dudley Monk Scholarship Fund at James Sprunt Community College, Kenansville.

WARSAW-Olive M. Divine, 96, of 604 Forrest Road, Warsaw, died Friday, August 20.
A funeral service was held at 3 p.m., Sunday, August 22, from Warsaw Baptist Church. Burial was in Devotional Gardens.

Mrs. Vindex Newsome Davidson, 91, former long-time resident of North Breazeale Avenue in Mount Olive, died Friday morning, August 20, in SunBridge Care Center.
A funeral service was held Sunday, August 22, at 2:30 p.m. from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Sherman Dilley officiating. Burial was in Wayne Memorial Park, Goldsboro.

KENANSVILLE-Mrs. Martha McGowan Miller, 69, of Summerlins Crossroads, Kenansville, died Thursday, August 19, at Duplin General Hospital, Kenansville.
A funeral service was held Saturday, August 21, at 3 p.m. from Big Zion A.M.E. Zion Church. The Rev. William A Peterson officiated. Burial was in the Miller Family Cemetery, Kenansville.
Arrangements were by Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Lydia Outlaw
Mrs. Lydia Outlaw, a former resident of Mount Olive, and widow of Dan H. Outlaw, past president of Southern Bank & Trust Co., died Sunday night, August 22, in the Brian Center in Charlotte.
Funeral arrangements were pending Monday and are being handled by Tyndall Funeral Home, Mount Olive.
Doris L. Jones
Seven Springs -- Doris Matilda Langley Jones, 76, of 300 Spring Street, died Sunday, June 27 at Britthaven of Smithfield.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, June 29 at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home in LaGrange with the Rev. Ashley Summerlin, the Rev. William Rudd and Rev. Terry Hobbs officiating. Interment was Wednesday, June 30 at 11 a.m. in the Seven Springs United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family received friends Tuesday following the service and at other times they will be at the home of Dave and Jean White, 4413 Indian Springs Road, Seven Springs.

SEVEN SPRINGS – Eli Lopez Morales, 19, of 105 Cabin Creek Road died Monday, June 28, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro .
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 2, at 7:30 p.m. from the Evangelic Church Rios De Agus Viva in Seven Springs. The Rev. Jacob Santizo will officiate. Burial will be in Chiapas Mexico .

Mrs. Rossie V. Peterson, 89, of 303 E. Kornegay Street in Mount Olive, died Saturday, June 26, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation for Mount Olive .
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 2, at 2 p.m. from Northeast Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Park Cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jesse Warren.
Viewing hours were held on Thursday, July 1, from 2-7 p.m.
Arrangements are being handled by Bass Funeral Home.

Goldsboro — Charles Robert Kennedy, 43, of 2150 Stevens Mill Road, died Wednesday, July 21.
A funeral service was held Sunday, July 25 at 2 p.m. from Black Jack Original Free Will Baptist Church with his uncle, Major Cecil Brogden and the Rev. Jason Sherman officiating. Burial was in the Old Neuse Friends Cemetery .
The family received friends Saturday night, July 24 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home.

A funeral service was held Monday, July 26 at 6 p.m. from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive . The Rev. Clayton Sutton officiated. The family received friends following the service at the funeral home, and at other times will be at the residence.

A funeral service was held Monday, July 26 at 11 a.m. from Woodland United Methodist Church . Burial was in Oak Ridge Memorial Park .
The family was to have received friends Monday, July 26 at the home.

Seven Springs - Mrs. Jewel Lanada “Judy” Ward Gibson of 647 Drummersville Road, died Sunday, July 25 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville .
A funeral service was held Wednesday, July 28 at 7 p.m. from Seven Springs Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. Ashley Summerlin officiated. Interment was Thursday, July 29 at 11 a.m. in the Seven Springs Community Cemetery .
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Seven Springs Baptist Church Prayer Garden, 5924 East NC 55 Hwy., Seven Springs, NC 28578.
The family received friends Wednesday following the service at the church and other times at the residence.
