A funeral mass will be at 12:00 noon on August 14, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport, North Carolina with inurnment in the church columbarium.

Myrtle H. Bright
Southport - Myrtle H. Bright, 99, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in Dosher Skilled Nursing Center in Southport.
Myrtle enjoyed a long, happy and productive life in Chester, Pennsylvania, Blacksburg, Virginia, and finally Southport, North Carolina joining her youngest daughter and family at the beach. She was preceded in death by her husband Lionel D. Bright and daughter Mary Margaret Fisher.
Survivors include her daughter Carole Curtner and husband Alan of St. James, NC; grandchildren Christopher McNeil and wife Lorie of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Scott McNeil and wife Wendy of Wilmington, NC; great grandchildren Allison McNeil of Edmond, Oklahoma, Cameron McNeil of Martinez, Georgia, Chloe Reese McNeil and Jackson Cade McNeil, both of Wilmington, NC.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Dosher Skilled Nursing Center for the excellent care they rendered to her.

Al Imbro
Caswell Beach - Al Imbro, age 71, of Caswell Beach passed away peacefully at his home with his loved ones by his side on Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
Al resided in Caswell Beach, North Carolina and Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, tennis, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
He will be missed by his wife Kathy; their children, a daughter Lisa and husband Matt Siracuse and a son Charles and wife Kelley Imbro; six grandchildren, Brianna, Colin, Devin, Andrew, Connor, and Brennen.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Friday, August 2, 2013 at their home in Caswell Beach.

Mary Fazzalori
Southport - Mary Fazzalori, age 93, of Southport passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
Mrs. Fazzalori was born
in Italy on January 9, 1920, daughter of the late Francesco and Agnes Palantonio. She was an amazing artist who loved knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Mrs. Fazzalori was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Nicoli Fazzalori and grandson Nicoli Bello.
Survivors include her daughters Rosalie Stern and Francesca Fazzolari both of Southport; two grandchildren Gerard Bello and Alexis Davidson; and one great grandchild Gia Marie Davidson.
A memorial service will be held at 9:30 am Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Carillon Assisted Living in Southport.

Dorothy Regina Gallant
Boiling Spring Lakes - Dorothy Regina Gallant, age 82, of Boiling Spring Lakes passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at Brunswick Cove Nursing Home.
Mrs. Gallant was born
November 17, 1930 in Newark, New Jersey, daughter of the late William and Regina Girard Noone and step-daughter of Ivar J. Moody. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by two sons, David and Stephen Gallant.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Foye and Carol Dern, both of Boiling Spring Lakes; two sons, John and Michael Gallant, both of Massachusetts; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 pm Friday, July 26, 2013 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service in Southport with Father Doug Lawson officiating.

Vernell F. Phelps
Boiling Spring Lakes - Vernell F. Phelps of Boiling Spring Lakes, NC passed away on July 22, 2013.
Mrs. Phelps was preceded in death by her mother Winnie and father Jesse Floyd of Defuniak Springs, Florida.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years Henry Phelps; daughter Becky Sizemore and husband Bill of Summerville, South Carolina; son Michael Phelps and wife Patsy of Summerville, South Carolina; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers Cecil Floyd and wife Theresa of Defuniak Springs, Florida and Wendell Floyd and wife Jeanette of Walton County, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held in Defuniak Springs, Florida at a later date.

Margueritte “Dinky” Kincaid Crothers
Oak Island - Margueritte “Dinky” Kincaid Crothers, 62 of Oak Island, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Universal Health Care in Bolivia.
Ms. Crothers was born
August 20, 1950 in Catawba County to the late Benjamin P. Kincaid and Margaret Hasty Kincaid. She was a member of Southport Baptist Church. She was a teacher at South Brunswick Middle School, Shallotte Middle School, and had taught math and science at Brunswick Community College. Ms. Crothers had also worked at Robin’s Nest and Childcare Network.
Surviving is a son Josh Crothers of Leland; a daughter Natasha Harvell of Southport; three brothers Donald Kincaid of Lake Worth, Florida, Bart Kincaid of Greensboro, and Bill Kincaid of Shallotte; and two grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Turtle Island Restaurant, 6220 E Oak Island Dr, Oak Island.

Anna D. Davis
Chesapeake, Virginia - Anna Deloris Davis, 59 of Chesapeake, Virginia passed away July 12, 2013 in Norfolk, Virginia.
Ms. Davis was born
March 30, 1954 in Southport, the daughter of the late Elmer Smith and Mary Emma Galloway Smith. She was raised in Southport, was a member of First Baptist Church, and graduated from South Brunswick High School. Ms. Davis had previously worked for 15 years in New Jersey and had been in Virginia for the past 16 years. She was preceded in death by a brother Dennis Smith and a sister Geneva Hargrove.
Surviving is her daughter Jackie Brown and husband Darnell of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren Danielle Brown and Janai Brown; a brother Elmer Smith Jr. of Southport; five sisters Debrah Smith, Betty Jones and husband Fred, Gerthell Graham and husband Bubba all of Southport; Vivan Smith of New Jersey; and Gwendolyn Smith of New York; a host of nieces and nephews, including a special nephew Grady Smith and wife Michelle of Virginia Beach.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the ILA Hall in Southport. Burial will follow in the Northwood Cemetery. The family will have visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service.
