Hastings resident, Noreen E. Crom, 72, of 1006 Glenwood, died Thursday, June 21, 2001 at her home.
Services will be Monday, June 25, 2001; 11:00 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Dean Joy officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska.
Noreen E. Crom was born
August 6, 1928 in Rosemont, Nebraska to William & Gertrude (Wright) Van Boening. She graduated from Blue Hill High School, Blue Hill, Nebraska with a teaching certificate. She taught country school and on June 1, 1947, she married Richard Dale Crom at Rosemont, Nebraska. She later worked at the Hastings Regional Center. They moved from Bladen, Nebraska to Hastings in 1976. She was a homemaker and an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings, Nebraska. She was also a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #10562.
Noreen E. Crom was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.

Emma Marie Haba, 84, of Hastings, Nebraska, died Monday, June 11, 2001 at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.
Services will be Saturday, June 16, 2001; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Burial will be Saturday, June 16, 2001; 1:30 P.M. in Oak Creek Cemetery south of Pauline, Nebraska.
Emma M. Haba was born
June 19, 1916 on a farm northwest of Caldwell, Kansas to Frances ‘Frank', Sr. & Francis ‘Fannie' (Hubacek) Haba. She went to a rural school near Caldwell and attended through the 7th grade. She moved with her family to a farm near Lawrence, Nebraska in 1928. She went to rural school for the eighth grade then went to high school one year in Lawrence, Nebraska. She retired from the farm in 1985 and moved to Good Samaritan Village in Hastings, Nebraska. In August of 1997, she entered Haven Home Nursing Home in Kenesaw, Nebraska and resided there until April of 2001. In failing health, she entered Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and then went to Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.
Emma M. Haba was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers.

James P. Konen, Sr. 85, of 1203 E. Park #5 died Sunday, June 10, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Rosary service will be Tuesday, June 12, 2001; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 13, 2001; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father James Meysenburg officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Assumption Cemetery, rural Roseland, Nebraska.
James P. Konen, Sr. was born
June 1, 1916 in rural Adams County, Nebraska to John & Margaret (Weber) Konen. He served in the United States Army from September 11, 1941 to October 29, 1945 and was overseas for18 months. He married Norma J. (Roach) Revell on September 3, 1946 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska. He farmed with his father and later was a truck driver for H & M Equipment Company and Werner Construction Company. He was a life long Adams County resident and a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. He was a life member of the Juniata V.F.W. and American Legion Club in Hastings, Nebraska.
James P. Konen, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 son, Gary Revell.

Jack D. Jensen, 68, of Roseland, Nebraska, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at his home.
Services will be Friday, June 8, 2001; 10:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Carl Utley and Rev. Matt Nieman officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Jack D. Jensen was born
May 5, 1933 in Nora, Nebraska to John & Mamie (Kotas) Jensen. He attended Nora Elementary School and graduated from Nelson High School, Nelson, Nebraska in 1950. He married Floy Whiteley on September 21, 1952. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 and was stationed in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1956, he moved to Holstein, Nebraska and was manager of Farmers Union Coop Elevator. In 1961, he moved to Roseland, Nebraska and was part-owner and manager of Mid Rivers Grain Company, retiring in 1981. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and served as a Deacon. He was on the Board of Directors at City National Bank for 20 years, President of Hastings Grain Exchange and served on the Holstein School Board, Roseland Town Board and worked with the youth baseball program in Roseland.
Jack D. Jensen was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenneth Jensen and a sister, Ruby Hawthorn.

Ronald B. Gayman, 66, of 720 North 6th Avenue, died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital as a result of Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Services will be Thursday, August 2, 2001, 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Funeral Home, Hastings, Nebraska, with Rev. Matt Neiman officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Ronald B. Gayman was born
February 7, 1935, in Cozad, Nebraska to Max and Ida (Ostendorf) Gayman. He married Sharie Wagner on December 14, 1956 in Hastings, Nebraska. He was employed at Hadco, Inc before becoming the Maintenance Director for the Hastings Y.M.C.A. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Elks Club in Hastings, and Midwest Lodge #317 A.F & A.M.
