MARGARET B. KELLEY, 79, of JACKSON, died Saturday, Nov. 29, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. She was employed by Service Hard Chromium in Union as an office clerk for 20 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Jackson Estate Senior Ceramics Group and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Manchester. Born in Kenvil, she lived in Maplewood before moving to Jackson in 1992.
She was predeceased by her first husband, William Kelley in 1972. Surviving are her husband of 29 years, William Riley; two daughters, Doreen Lockamy of Roxboro, N.C. and Patricia Macchieverna of Glendale, Calif.; three sisters, Madeline Meyer of Union, Louise Dennis of Oxford, and Theresa Queen of Howell; seven brothers, Harry, Henry, Frederick, Charles, Allen, Robert and Vincent Horning; two grandchildren, Rene Lockamy and Robert Macchieverna.
Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Lakehurst, with a funeral service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. For Further information, call 732-657-5700

ROBERT HYMAN, 82, of BRICK
ROBERT HYMAN, 82, of BRICK, died Sunday, Nov. 30, at home. He was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving his country as a pilot in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a bar manager for 25 years at the Pine Tree Inn & Trailer Park, Eatontown, retiring in 2002. Born in Manhattan, he lived in Brooklyn, Hazlet and Middletown before moving to Brick seven years ago.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Eleanor F. Scott Hyman; three sons, David B. of Toms River, Barry J. of Bay Head, and Douglas S. of Holmdel; a sister, Helen Brownstein of Henderson, Nev.; six grandchildren, Matt, Jodi, Amy, Andy, Jennifer and DJ; and six great-grandchildren, Logan, James, Jordan, Hunter, Allison and Jay.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road at Highway 70, Brick. Interment is private. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in his honor to The American Cancer Society.

RUTH STEINER WATSON, 80, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of LAKEHURST, died Friday, Nov. 28. Born Ruth Martha Kilpatrick, she was the youngest of 10 children born to Hiram and Caroline Kilpatrick. She lived most of her life in Lakehurst. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her first husband, John Steiner; a son, Gary Steiner; and a daughter, Patricia Ann Steiner. Surviving are her husband, Oakley B. Watson; three sons, John Steiner of Jackson, and Kenneth Steiner and Warren Steiner, both of Lanoka Harbor, Lacey; three daughters, Sandra Mick of Manchester, Elaine Seaman of Manchester, and Susan Upham of Arizona; a brother, Irving Kilpatrick of Manchester; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roadside Cemetery, Route 37, Lakehurst.actoms(Anderson/Toms River)

THE REV. JOHN F. DOYLE, 71, of Jersey City, died Thursday, Nov.
THE REV. JOHN F. DOYLE, 71, of Jersey City, died Thursday, Nov. 27, at Bartley Health Care Center, JACKSON. He was a priest for the Archdiocese of Newark and retired in 1992. He was ordained in 1959, serving his first Mass at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jersey City. He was a parochial vicar at St. Joseph Parish, Oradell, from 1959 to 1973, and was also a parochial vicar at the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, Franklin Lakes. He was a chaplain at St. Joseph's Home for the Blind, Jersey City, He attended Assumption Grammar School, Jersey City, St. Peter's Preparatory in Jersey City from 1947 to 1951 and St. Peter's College in Jersey City from 1951 to 1955. He was a 1959 graduate of Seton Hall University and Darlington Seminary. He was born in Jersey City.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth Miller Doyle; and a sister, Florence Yanick. Surviving are his four sisters, Mary Dooley, Patricia D Elia, Elizabeth Ray and Kathleen McCorkell; five brothers, Joseph, Mickey, William, James, and Thomas Doyle; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Houghton Funeral Home, 976 Summit Ave., Jersey City. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, Lincoln Street, Jersey City. Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Laurence J. Douglas, 82, WWII Marine vet
BRICK -- Laurence J. Douglas, 82, died Sunday (Nov. 30, 2003) at Laurelton Village Nursing Home in Brick. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he was a resident of Somerville for 26 years before moving to Brick in 1997.
Mr. Douglas served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He had been employed as a building inspector by Building Underwriters Corp. for many years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lucy (Scimone) Douglas, in 1995; and a son, Michael, in 1984.
Surviving are three sons, Stephen and his wife, Francine Douglas, of Brick, Joseph of Whitehouse Station and Robert of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Hwy. 88, Brick. Interment in St. Bernards Cemetery, Raritan. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

LELAND O'NEILL, AGE 47, SOMERSET
Leland G. O'Neill, 47, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in San Jose, Calif., he had lived on the west coast and in Florida before moving to the Somerset section of Franklin Township more than two years ago. He had worked as an appliance technician for 30 years, most recently with Maytag Company in Pine Brook. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1430 of North White Plains, N.Y.
Surviving are his mother, Carol Zandofsky of Kent, Wash.; two sisters, Allison Elliott and Katherine Lee Brurstrom, both of Pioneer, Calif.; and his family in Somerset, Frank, Kimberly, Jessica, Shelby and Matthew Bruno, with whom he lived.
Friends and relatives may call 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Private cremation will follow.

ELIZABETH HAMMELL, AGE 53, RAHWAY
Elizabeth Ann Hammell, 53, of Rahway died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Trenton Hospital.
Born in Red Bank, she lived in Rahway all her life. She was a 1967 graduate of Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark, having been a member of its first graduating class. She was also a graduate of Kean University, Union, with a B.A. degree in English. She was employed as a substitute teacher in Rahway, Clark and Linden for many years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Rahway.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Hammell of Rahway; three brothers, Don Hammell of Thompson, Pa., Tom Hammell of Red Bank and Paul Hammell of Rahway. She was also loved by her mother, Ella Hammell of Rahway.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Pettit-Davis Funeral Home, 371 West Milton Ave., Rahway, thence to St. Mary's R.C. Church in Rahway for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Clark. Visiting will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. SUSANNE NOVAK, AGE 56, SCOTCH PLAINS
Susanne Novak, 56, of Scotch Plains died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at 4:18 p.m. at her residence in Scotch Plains, surrounded by her loving family and fellow hospice nurses.
Born in Newark, Sue has lived in Scotch Plains for the past 34 years. She graduated from Drake School of Business in 1966 and was a research and engineering secretary for six years with Esso Co. in Florham Park. In 1991, Sue graduated from Union County College and Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse with the Solaris Healthcare System, JFK Haven Hospice of Edison for the past 12 years, and was a certified hospice and palliative nurse.
She was involved in parish nursing at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Plainfield. She was a Girl Scout leader for 15 years with the Washington Rock Council. Sue taught Middlers Christian Education at Fanwood Presbyterian Church for 12 years and was involved with the Women's Association Circle on Session A Deacon Adult Christian Education at the church.
She was the beloved wife of James J. Novak, to whom she was married 34 years; devoted mother of Jamie Lynn and her husband, Jose, Brandy Lee, Jessica Marie and Kristy Sue; loving nana (grandmother) of Erik Robert Serhus, who is 8 months old; caring sister of John and Vincent Mellott.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Fanwood Presbyterian Church in Fanwood, followed by a reception in the church hall. A blood drive will be held prior to the memorial service; all those wishing to donate in Sue's memory are invited to donate between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Fanwood Presbyterian Church. Her family will be receiving friends at their residence from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on both Thursday, Dec. 4, and Friday, Dec. 5, during an Open House to celebrate her life.
Arrangements are by Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains. In lieu of flowers or gift baskets, the family asks that contributions be made to the newly formed: Sue Novak, RN, CHPN Scholarship Fund. DIANNE CAPIK, AGE 60, EDISON
Dianne T. Vizenfelder Capik, 60, of Edison died yesterday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Perth Amboy, she resided in Carteret before moving to Edison 33 years ago. With her husband, she was co-owner of the Chevron Gas station in Fords for 13 years. Her beloved husband of 33 years, John G. Capik, survives her.
She is also survived by two daughters, Dianne Landi Klein and her husband, Teddy, of Edison and Stephanie Capik Kose and her husband, Guven, of Edison; a son, Anthony C. Landi III of Edison; her brother, Richard Vizenfelder of Cape Canaveral, Fla., and six grandchildren, Victoria, Serena, Guven Jr., Shelby Jae, Layla Rose, and Anthony C. IV.
Funeral services will be held at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, followed by an 8:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Most Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Hopelawn. Burial will be at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Fords. Visitation will be from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. FRANCES WINQUIST, AGE 92, COLTS NECK
Frances E. Winquist, 92, of Howell, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at home.
Frances was born in Perth Amboy and also resided in Avenel, and then in Colts Neck for 38 years before moving to Howell six years ago. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Notre Dame of Maryland Preparatory College in Baltimore, and attended Drexel College in Philadelphia. In 1933, she married Jacob Winquist and they resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel and the Woman's Club of Avenel. In 1960, the family moved to Colts Neck Township and Frances became a member of the Colts Neck Reformed Church and its Ladies Circle group. She was a substitute teacher for both the Woodbridge Township and Colts Neck Township school systems. In later years, she and Jacob traveled extensively to both North America and South America as well as Europe and Asia.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jacob, who died in 1996; a brother, Joseph Seaman, and a sister, Catherine Freeman. She is survived by five daughters and four sons-in-law, Karen and Samuel McClellan of Tinton Falls, Jane Price of Freehold Township, Laurie and Marvin Harris of Freehold Township, Wendy and Tom London of Sebeka, Minn., and Nancy and Christopher Faustmann of Wanamassa; a sister, Bernice Frommater of Southport, N.C.; 14 grandchildren, Peter Jon and David Cole, Christine Yaccarino, Lorilei Price, Jennifer Nevulis, Brian Harris, Joel, Joshua, Elizabeth and Margaret London and Thomas, Christopher, Matthew and Kerri Goetke; nine great-grandchildren, and her loving caregiver, Leola Nanton.
Family and friends may call from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main St., Freehold. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Colts Neck Reformed Church, 72 Route 537, Colts Neck. Burial will follow at Atlantic Cemetery, Colts Neck. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Colts Neck Reformed Church Organ Fund or the Howell Township First Aid Squad.

GEORGE MARYOVICH, AGE 72, CRANFORD
George John Maryovich, 72, of Cranford, a former 38-year resident of Elizabeth who was originally of Exeter, Pa., passed away at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at his residence.
Born in Exeter, Pa., on Friday, Feb. 12, 1932, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Ferenchek) Maryovich. He was employed as a tractor trailer driver at Preston Trucking, Woodbridge, for 35 years, retiring in 2001.
He was the husband of Edna (Einhorn) Maryovich. He was a communicant of Holy Rosary/St. Michael's R.C. Church in Elizabeth and was an usher at the church. He served in the Korean War as a sergeant in the Army. He was a member of American Legion Bayway Post 260. He was a member of the Roselle Golf Club and was a finalist in many of the club golf championships. He also was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Georgette, who is the wife of Donald Hunt, and by three sisters, Mary Troiano of Roselle Park, Emma Stabinsky of Mahopany, Pa., and Margie Maryovich of Exeter, Pa., and his brother, Tom Maryovich of Exeter, Pa. He also is survived by his two grandsons, Steven and David Hunt, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary/St. Michael's Church in Elizabeth, with Fr. John E. Wassell officiating. Burial will be at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday at Bannworth Funeral Home, 1056 East Jersey St., Elizabeth. Donations may be made to The Center for Hope Hospice, 176 Hussa St., Linden, NJ 07036.

GEORGE ROWLES, AGE 74, MATAWAN
George A. Rowles, 74, died yesterday, Feb. 15, 2004, in Matawan.
He resided in Matawan for the past 36 years, and was formerly of South Plainfield. He was employed as a boiler engineer for Reichold Chemical Corp. in Newark, retiring in 1994 after more than 20 years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Matawan.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy L. (Scanlon) Rowles; two sons, George Rowles of Pennsylvania and Thomas Rowles of Aberdeen; several brothers and sisters, all living in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday at Bedle Funeral Home, 212 Main St., Matawan. Services will be announced. Please call the funeral home for the service time. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
