Mary Ann Aragon, 62, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 3, 2003. Mary was born on January 7, 1941 to John and Adela Sanchez Nieto. She was a member of Calvary Chapel in Albuquerque and also a member of the American Legion Post 13. Mary Ann was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her hobbies were crocheting, working any kind of puzzles, and she loved game-shows. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, Alonzo Moya; her second husband, Wilfred Aragon; her parents, John and Adela Nieto; sister, Helen Chavez; two sisters-in-law, Priscilla and Cecilia Moya. Mary Ann is survived by her children, Mike Moya and wife, Cynthia, John Moya and wife, Kathy, Patty Moya, Steve Moya and wife, Yvette; sisters, Bernice Lucero and Lucy Martinez and husband, Elias; brothers, Tony Nieto and wife, Eleanor, Rick and wife, Della; grandchildren, Toby, Gabriel, Nadine, John, Allen, Arthur, Jacqueline, Daniel, Albert, Eddie, Monique; great-grandson, Allen Jr.; great-aunt, Sara Ruiz; sisters-in-law, Maryann Mitchell, Irene Rivera and husband, Victor; brother-in-law, Joe Moya; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends. A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options, 2400 Southern Blvd in Rio Rancho. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. also in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options with Pastor Allen Brooks as Officiant. Interment will follow at Mt. Arthur V. (Art) Armayor, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, died Monday, June 2, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Clara Armayor of Albuquerque; sons, Rick Armayor and wife, Jane of Albuquerque; daughter, Linda A. Jordan and husband, Dr. Michael Douglas of Midland, TX; five grandsons, Charles Wilson Moore, Travis Vincent Armayor, David Garland Armayor, Joseph Douglas Jordan and Jonathan David Jordan; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Oliver Armayor of Jacksonville, FL and Arthur Armayor, Jr. of Dalton, GA; and sisters, Isabel DeNardo, Betty Rogers and Clara Sullivan, all of Orlando, FL; Mr. Armayor was an avid gardener and a member of the VFW, Charter Member and Past President of the Lions Club of Key West, FL. He received three Bronze Stars in WWII having served in the U.S. Army. Services will be held Saturday, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Bob Butler officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, 11:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Milo Arzate, 50, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, May 31, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lucy Arzate of Albuquerque; daughters, Tiffany, Jasmin and Emily; son, Milo, Jr.; mother, Bea Arzate; sisters, Margie Jaramillo and Melinda Angeles and husband, John, all of Los Angeles, CA; and many other family members. Mr. Arzate was preceded in death by his father, Pascual Arzate. He worked for the City of Albuquerque 21 years in the Information Systems Division. Milo attended First Baptist Church with his wife and children. Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., First Baptist Church, 101 Broadway NE, with Pastor Steven R. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Milo Arzate, Jr., Matthew Jaramillo, Rudy Villalva, Jr., John Angeles, Gene Gallegos, Bob Hurtado and Tim Salazar.

Paul M. Beeson, 67, died following a brave battle with cancer on June 2, 2003. Paul retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1998 following a career of 36 years, after which he and his wife fulfilled their dream of fulltime RVing for three years until Paul's illness. He was a coach and on the board of directors for Y.A.F.L. and A.Y.B. L. Paul is survived by his wife, Sue; son, Kyle; daughter-in-law, Cynthia; granddaughter, Lauren; mother-in-law, Clara Shaffer, all of Albuquerque; brother, Karl; sister-in-law, Mary; niece, Jessica, all of Princeton, NJ; and a family of RV friends along with several cousins, aunts and an uncle. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, June 6, 2003, 1:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Palestine Academic Foundation, P.O. Box 217, Palestine, IL, 62451 or charity of your choice. The family expresses deep gratitude to Dr. James Liebmann and the staff of N.M. Charlotte B. Carnes, 83, a resident of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho since 1961, died Sunday, June 1, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Carnes of Corrales; son, Sam A. Carnes Jr. and wife, Nancy of Knoxville, TN; grandson, James H. Wall Jr. and wife, Chandra of Rio Rancho; granddaughters, Suzanne Wall of San Jose, CA, Charlotte Smith and husband, Doug of Rio Rancho, and Cindy M. Carnes of Knoxville, TN; great-grandson, Christopher Wall and great-granddaughter, Amanda Wall, both of Rio Rancho. Mrs. Carnes was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved husband Air Force Col. Sam A. Carnes on June 27, 1999. She was born in Daingerfield, Texas and was the daughter of the late Charles F. Bolin and Louella T. Bolin. She was a graduate of Texas Women s University, an English teacher, a volunteer at Lovelace Hospital, and enjoyed world-wide travel with her husband and life-time friends Imogene and Dick Morrison. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Albuquerque. Memorial services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Rev. Milton Propp officiating. Private interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Charles J. Davis, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Juanita Davis; son, James Davis; stepson, Dale Perdew; brother, Lloyd E. Davis; and sister, Doris Schaffer.
Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific.
He retired from Sandia National Laboratories after 28 years.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2003, 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.

Shirley Greenblatt, mother, Oma, friend, an Albuquerque native, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2003 following a lengthy illness. She was born September 23, 1934 and attended schools in Albuquerque and was a member of the third graduating class of Highland High. She attended college in Fremont, Nebraska. Later she received a degree as an LPN. Shirley was an avid duplicate bridge player, belonging to the Albuquerque Bridge Club. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She also served as director of the Family Support Residents of New Mexico for the Ronald McDonald House from 1984 to 1991. Mrs. Greenblatt was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Greenblatt, M.D. and her parents, Otto and Ann Skinner. She is survived by her children, Lisa Mowrer and husband Fred, Dori Clemens, Chip Gibbs and wife, Melissa, and Brad Gibbs and wife, Kristi; grandchildren, Jonathan Gibbs, Chelsea Mowrer, Colton Mowrer, Cody Clemens, Ana Clemens, and Daniel Clemens. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Donna Hilligoss, 72, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003. She is survived by her son, Jesse Hilligoss and wife, Cynthia; grandchildren, Jason Hilligoss and Carolyn Hilligoss, all of Albuquerque; sister, Audrey Lopp of Albuquerque; brothers, Kennith Lopp of Albuquerque and Eugene Lopp and wife, Betty of Reno, NV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hilligoss. Mrs. Hilligoss was a member of First United Methodist Church. Albert Julius Holte, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at the age of 87. He was born in Wing, ND, on May 3, 1916. His family moved to Moose Lake, MN, when he was four years old. After high school graduation, he attended the University of Minnesota and always called Minneapolis home. In World War II, he served in the US Navy Seabees in Okinawa. He moved to Albuquerque in 1957 where he worked for the VA and DASA at Sandia Base. After retirement from Federal employment, he worked in the Pro Shops at both Championship and North University Golf Courses. He is a 45-year member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, a Life Member of Elks Lodge #461, and a past member of the NM Seniors Golf Association. He dearly loved playing golf, puttering in his garage, and his eight grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Rose, of the family home; one son and wife, David Hillemeyer (Dianne), Anchorage, AK, and their daughters, Lisa Maurer (Erik), and children, Madeline and Alexander, Anchorage, AK; Cindi Hillemeyer, Ketchum, ID; and Shannon Kinsey (Rick), Anchorage, AK; four daughters and their husbands, Rosemary Drexel (OK Harris) and their son, Jason Ruetschilling, Albuquerque; Mary Ann Delleney (Michael) and their son, John, Folsom, CA; Margaret Bell (Hugh) and their sons, Oliver, Albuquerque, and Adrian, Phoenix, AZ; and Carole Haynes (Martin) and their son, Scooter, Albuquerque; one sister, Mildred Granzow, Apple Valley, MN, many nieces and nephews in Minnesota, and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Odden Holte; two sisters, Dena and Gladys, two brothers, Norman and Melvin, and Emily, mother of Mary Ann and Margaret. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 7, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Road NE, with Pastor Patricia Holman officiating. Sara Lane, age 90, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away June 2, 2003. Survivors include her daughters, Sherry Gribling and husband, Mike of Los Lunas, NM, Nancy Kent and husband, Orville of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Stacey Templeton of Rio Rancho, NM, Julie Rivera of Indianapolis, IN, Vikki Thompson of Alamogordo, NM, Shannon Summers of Jal, NM, Heather Sultemeier of Roswell, NM and Gary Kent of Rio Rancho, NM; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Sarah and Jack Templeton, Alex and Andrea Rivera, Kaycee Sultemeier and Reeann Summers. Elvira Maria (Bloom) Lersten, 94 years of age, a resident of Albuquerque since 1986, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Manzano Del Sol Retirement Center. Elvira was born October 23, 1908, in Varmland Province, Sweden, and emigrated to the United States by herself at age 17 to Chicago, Illinois. On January 29, 1929, she married Anders Einar Lersten, also of Varmland, Sweden, in Chicago. She worked at the Southside Swedish Club for many years and always thought of others before herself. Her husband predeceased her in 1989 and she is survived by her sons, Nels Ronald and wife, Pat, of Ames, Iowa, and Kenneth Carl and wife, Sonia, of Albuquerque. She has one brother, Thor Andersson, of Farsta, Sweden; and many other relatives in Sweden. Five grandchildren include Sam Lersten and wife, Julie, of West Des Moines, Iowa, Andrew Lersten of South Haven, Michigan, Julie Corley and husband, Bill, of Folsom, California, Tom Lersten and wife, Cindy, of Dubai, UAE, and Kristina Sakamoto and husband, John, of Menlo Park, California; nine great-grandchildren survive as well, Michael, Melissa, and Molly Lersten, Elisabeth and Abigail Corley, Stefan, Colin and Benjamin Sakamoto and Nikolas Lersten. Elvira was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and the Scandinavian Club of Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul NE, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2003, Rev. Chuck Carlson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. The family wishes to thank the caregivers of Apple Valley at Manzano Del Sol for their kindness to Elvira.

Marie (Tina) V. Lucero, age 79, beloved sister and aunt was called home to be with the Lord our Savior Tuesday, June 3, 2003 while surrounded by her loving family. Tina was born in Cerrillos, NM; and was a resident of Bernalillo, NM. Tina worked for the Bernalillo Mercantile; she was the Co-owner and operator of the Central Y Gift Shop. Tina was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Lucero, September 23, 2001. She is survived by her loving sister, Minerva (Minnie) Garcia of Albuquerque; one brother, Bennie Garcia and wife, Lollie of California; one special nephew, Philip Garcia of California; several brother and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Tina will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and caregivers of Laurel View Nursing Home for the loving care given to Tina. Visitations will be held Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. He is survived by his two daughters, Sonia and Elena Medrano; son, Frank Arthur Medrano all of Moreno Valley, CA; mother, Maria Jaramillo and husband, Arthur of Albuquerque; father, Frank Medrano of Needles, CA; 2 brothers, Rudy Jaramillo and wife, Rebecca and Michael Jaramillo all of Albuquerque.
