Beatrice Alice Pogue, born in Royal Oak, MI, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at home in Belen, NM.
Everybody loved Bea.
She was a greeter and helper in two church thrift stores, even after being confined in a wheelchair.
She also loved to travel with her companions and Ruth and Gary Hasenauer.

After 75 years of loving and caring for her family, Bertha Faye Shiplet peacefully ascended surrounded by her family on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011.
She was born in Mountainair on Rattlesnake Hill on July 23, 1936.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Shiplet; her parents, Bud and Beulah Garner.
Frances “Frankie” W. Styles

Frances “Frankie” W. Styles, born in Rochester, NY, went “home” on Wednesday, December 7, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lafler and Dorothy Button; husband, Thomas Styles; and her two closest friends, Lois Winker and Allyn Lee.

Arline Margaret Farris, age 89, a life long resident of Belen, NM passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011.
She was born in Belen into a longtime Railroad family.
Her mother Lillian was a Harvey Girl and her father John George was a switchman with the Santa Fe Railroad.

Ernaldo Urtiaga, age 90, a resident of Belen, NM passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011.
A Public Visitation will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 6, at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m.
Interment will be held at a later date.
Alton Presley
1924-2011
Alton Presley, age 87, a resident of Veguita, NM passed away on Saturday December 3, 2011.
He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII.
Alton was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse E. and Verna Anderson Presley and 13 brothers.

Eulalia Armijo, age 61, a resident of Belen, NM passed away on Thursday December 1, 2011.
A Public Viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, beginning at 6:30, on Wednesday December 7.

Leo Garcia

Leo Demsey Garcia, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Belen, NM.
He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church.
Leo lived a full happy life.
He enjoyed years of fishing and camping with his beloved wife Trudy.
Leo was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Alfredo Bustamante

Alfredo Bustamante, age 95, a resident of Belen, New Mexico went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 28, 2011.
He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church.
Alfredo enjoyed going to the Senior Center to play pool with friends.
Jeova Baldonado Saenz
1922-2011
Jeova Baldonado Saenz, age 89, a resident of Los Angeles, CA passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Saenz in 1997.
Jeova is survived by her son, Ricardo Saenz; daughter, Anna Maria Saenz.
Alfredo O. Jaramillo

Alfredo O. Jaramillo, age 80, a resident of Jarales, passed away on Monday, Nov. 22. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florencio and Trinidar Olguin Jaramillo; one sister, Manuelita Jaramillo and eight brothers, Jose Louise, Viterbo, Alex, Climaco, Adenago, Jose, Lotario and Gillie. Alfredo is survived by his brother, Otinel Jaramillo of Jarales and his sister, Daisy Vigil of Barstow, Calif. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, beginning with a viewing at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov.24, with a rosary to be recited at 1:30 p.m. and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
Audrey A. Carruth
1925-2010
Audrey A. Carruth, age 85, a resident of Belen, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 20.
A final visitation will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, at 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 30, with a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery.
Fernandez “Sonny” Garley Sanchez
1932-2010
Fernandez “Sonny” Garley Sanchez, age 78, a resident of Belen, NM and formerly of Kensington, MD, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church serving as a sacristan and finance officer. Sonny was formerly a member of the Holy Redeemer Church in Kensington, MD. Sonny proudly served in the United States Navy Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post 2387 and the American Legion Post 81. Sonny retired from outstanding service at the World Bank and International Monetary Fund where he was Chief of Computer Operations in Washington, D.C. He was a former Director of the Bank of Belen and one of the founding organizers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fernandez and Amada Garley Sanchez and sister, Theresa Lopez. Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gloria Salaz Sanchez; son, Raymond and wife, Anna Sanchez; daughter, Renee and husband, John Brookbank; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Spencer and Sydney Brookbank and Michael and Francesca Sanchez; two brothers, Buddy and Larry and sister, Ruth. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, beginning with a visitation on Wednesday, November 24, at 10:00 a.m. with a rosary to be recited 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
