Graveside services for Charles Abril, 76, who passed away March 28 in Pahrump, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pahrump Family Mortuary.
He was born May 15, 1928 in Manhattan, N.Y., and moved to Pahrump five years ago, coming from Henderson. He was self-employed.
His wife Dolores Abril of Pahrump and daughter Renee Naughton of Pahrump survive him.

Bradley VonAlst
Services for Bradley William VonAlst, 37, who passed away March 4 in Pahrump, will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday under the gazebo at Honeysuckle Park. A potluck will be held immediately following the service.
He was born Feb. 27, 1968 in Springfield, Ill., and was a resident of Pahrump for 13 years. He worked in the gaming industry in Pahrump and Las Vegas.
His mother Barbara Jane VonAlst; brothers Dave, Jeff, Craig, Jim and Bob; nephews Jason, Justin, Steven, Aaron, Jeffrey and Nicholas; great niece Kaylyn; and great nephew Jaden, survive him. (3/4/05)
Ralph Rice
Funeral services for Ralph R. Rice, 72, who passed away May 16 in Las Vegas, will be held at 2 p.m. June 3 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. June 4 at Moose Lodge 808.
He was born Oct. 7, 1933 in Pawtucket, R.I., and was a 15-year resident of Pahrump, coming from the Republic of Panama.
He received his BA from the University of Florida and served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years, doing four tours in Vietnam. He then worked as a safety officer for the Panama Canal Commission until retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 808 and Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
His wife Mercedes Rice of Pahrump; brother Raymond (Abigail) Rice of Massachusetts; sons Ralph M. Rice of California and Edward Rice of Florida; daughters Ramona Rice of Texas and Heidi Rice of California; stepsons Jeffrey Kliebert of Tennesse, Wayne Kliebert of Texas and Phillip Kliebert of Louisiana; and 10 grandchildren survive him.

Thelma Frazier
Private family services were held for Thelma Frazier, 68, who passed away May 17 in Henderson.
She was born Jan. 18, 1937 in Redbird, Ky., and was a 30-year resident of Henderson.
She worked in housekeeping in the health care industry before retiring.
Her sons Brian Frazier and Glen Frazier, both of Henderson, and Michael Frazier of Tennessee; brothers Gard Simpson, Rufus Simpson Jr., and P. M. Simpson, all of Kentucky, and Howard Simpson of Ohio; sisters Sarah Burton and Martha Roark, both of Kentucky, Millie Winge and Hester Settles, both of Illinois, and Cory Adkins of Ohio; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren survive her.
Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.

Kathlyn Canino
Services for Kathlyn Marie Canino, 56, who passed away June 10 in Pahrump, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Victory Christian Center, located at Highway 160 and Winery Road.
She was born Feb. 5, 1949 in Illinois and was an 11-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Chicago.
She worked as a waitress and was of the Christian faith.
Her daughters Nicole Canino and Deanna (Tony) Mendoza; sons Enrique (Suzette) Balderrama, Jason Balderrama and Jeffrey Balderrama; sister Sandra Wunsh (Gregory McCune); brothers Larry Panozzo and Raymond (Jill) Panozzo Jr.; nieces Brandy (Gene) Fitzwater, Jemma Panozzo and Jennifer Wunsh; nephews Anthony (Bridgette) Wunsh Bryce Panozzo and Lorenzo Panozzo; and three grandchildren, Katy, Victoria and Elijah, survive her.
Her parents, Raymond and Ruth Panozzo, preceded her in death.

Beulah Cheffer
A memorial service for Beulah Mae Cheffer, 83, who passed away May 19 in Everett, Wash., will be held at 11 a.m. June 29 at Pahrump Valley United Methodist Church.
She was born April 11, 1922 in Bone Gap, Ill. She and her husband Fred moved from Illinois to Santa Ana, Calif., and were longtime residents there. They were members of a four square club and enjoyed dancing.
They spent about 15 years traveling the U.S. with Pahrump as their home base and continued living here after they hung up the keys.
She was a member of Pahrump Valley United Methodist Church and loved helping with the church bazaar every year.
Beulah moved to Everett, Wash., in 2004 and became a resident of Garden Court Senior Living, where she met many new friends and enjoyed playing with her newest great-grandchild, Ethan. She loved to dance, do crafts and carpet bowl.
Her children Laura Hunt, Kim (Sue) Cheffer, Linda Marten and Bruce (Jennifer) Cheffer; grandchildren Brandon, Aimee, Jason, Shannon, Eric, Ryanne, Matthew and Allison; and 13 great-grandchildren survive her.
Her husband of 60 years, Fred E. Cheffer, preceded her in death. (5/19/05)
Audry Hunter
No services are planned for Audry J. Hunter, 73, who passed away June 12 in Las Vegas.
She was born Dec. 20, 1931 in Aurora, Ill., and was a 33-year resident of Pahrump, coming from California.
She worked in the cage and as a cocktail waitress in the casino industry until retiring 11 years ago. She was of the Baptist faith.
Her husband Willard Hunter of Pahrump; sons Randy Hunter and Gary (Becky) Hunter, both of Pahrump; sister Lynn Johnson of Illinois; brother Bob Harlow of Arkansas; and four grandchildren survive her.
Her parents and one son preceded her in death.

Robert Kimberlin
No services will be held for Robert P. Kimberlin Jr., 66, who passed away June 7 in Las Vegas.
He was born May 20, 1939 in Fresno, Calif., and was a resident of Pahrump for three years, coming from Los Angeles.
He graduated from junior college and then worked as a mechanic until retiring in February 2002. He was a member of the NHRA, NASCAR and ATRA.
His wife Linda Kimberlin of Pahrump; son Robert Kimberlin of Los Angeles; mother Angie Turley of Idaho; granddaughter Jessica Nicole of Texas; sister-in-law Cheryl Cunningham of California; brother-in-law Mike Rasmussen of California; and nephews Lance Cunningham, Kevin Cunningham and Victor Rasmussen, all of California, survive him.

Author Smith
A celebration of life for Author (Art) Smith, 57, who passed away June 4, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Who's Dunes on Highway 372 (near Linda).
He was born March 15, 1948 in New York and was a longtime resident of Las Vegas and Pahrump.
His mother Frances Smith of New York; sisters Maureen Smith of New York and Karen Smith of Florida; four children; and four grandchildren survive him.

George Thaxton
Services for George Henry (Bud) Thaxton, 67, who passed away June 8 in Pahrump, will be held at 1:20 p.m. Thursday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery in Boulder City. The Reverend Marvin Grant will preside.
He was born June 21, 1937 in Kaiser, Ark., and was a resident of Pahrump for three years.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and then worked as an electrician until retiring five years ago.
His daughter Tammy Gisi of Las Vegas; sons George Thaxton Jr. of Pahrump and Steven Thaxton of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren survive him.
His wife, Doris Louis Thaxton, preceded him in death.
