Elise Hoster Egle, had career in real estate
Elise Hoster Egle, a real estate executive who also was a member of a prominent Ohio family, died Saturday at her home in Hyde Park.
The Columbus, Ohio, native was vice president of Hoster Realty Inc., and the great-granddaughter of Louis J. Hoster, founder of L. Hoster Brewing Co. in Columbus.
Mrs. Egle was a graduate of Smith College who also studied at Yale Divinity School, as well as Ohio State University's Law School.
Mrs. Egle also was a former vice president of the Columbus Junior League, founder of the Playhouse Prompters, and a member of the Maternity Society.
She leaves a daughter, Patricia LeBlond and four grandsons.

Rev. James Frommeyer, pastor, teacher
The Rev. James G. Frommeyer, a Roman Catholic priest who dedicated 40 years to the church, died last Friday. He was 79.
He studied at St. Gregory and Mount St. Mary seminaries before being ordained in 1945. He received his master's degree in education, with a concentration in Latin, from Xavier University.
Father Frommeyer served as associate pastor at six Cincinnati parishes and five elsewhere during his lifetime. He also served on the faculty of the former DePorres High School, Elder and Seton high schools, and at Alter High School in Dayton.
In 1955, he enlisted in the Chaplain Corps of the U.S. Army and served until 1959.
In 1967, Father Frommeyer was appointed pastor of the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Sedamsville. In 1971 he became the pastor of Holy Trinity in Batavia, Ohio, and administrator of St. Philomena in Stonelick Township. In August, 1972, he returned to Cincinnati as chaplain at the former St. George Hospital and ministered to area rest-home residents. In 1974, he was made chaplain at the Franciscan at St. Clare, where he served until he retired in 1985.
Father Frommeyer donated his body to science. Mass: 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral of St. Peter-in-Chains, downtown.

Thomas Terrell, respected insurance man
Thomas C. Terrell was a leader in his insurance profession, winning the prestigious Golden Triangle Award from State Farm Insurance Co. in 1997.
Mr. Terrell, 51, died Monday. He was a native of Cincinnati and a graduate of McNicholas High School and the University of Cincinnati.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and coached youth sports. He also was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce, Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association.
Mr. Terrell leaves his wife, Kathy M. Terrell; sons, Brian L. Esslinger and Jeffrey T. Terrell; daughter, Kate E. Terrell; father, Myron Terrell; brother, Dick Terrell; and sister, Patty Pendergest.

Terrance Moore, popular jazz musician
Cincinnati jazz drummer Terrance B. Moore, 61, died Sunday.
He often played at the Blue Wisp and Dee Felice among area jazz clubs, on local television programs such as "The Nick Clooney Show" during the 1960s and "The Len Mink Show" during the 1970s, said his sister, Mona Kelley. He also played with the Shirley Jester Trio, Jerry Conrad's Rhythm and Brass and the Frank Vincent Trio.
Mr. Moore also played backup for pianist Peter Nero and singer John Davidson, said Ms. Kelley. The self-taught musician played in the Holmes High School Band and already was drumming in area jazz clubs at the age of 16. He went on to play in the U.S. Navy Band.
Mr. Moore was a member of the Cincinnati Musicians Union and at one time was an active member of the Cincinnati Jazz Society.
He also leaves sons Mike Moore of Greensboro, S.C., Daniel R. Moore of Boston, Jeffrey B. and Brian Moore, both of Cincinnati; daughters Tracie Douggoud, Johnna Jansen and Maryanna Moore, all of Cincinnati; brother, Gary Moore; and another sister, Harriet Lauterwasser, both of Cincinnati.

Allan Ankenbauer, Cathedral Basilica devotee
Allan A. Ankenbauer believed in church and family and made sure he took care of both.
The retired bookkeeper with Bluegrass Plumbing and Electrical Supply also was treasurer of the Holy Name Society of Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington.
Mr. Ankenbauer, 78, of Covington, died Tuesday.
He was a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society at the church and was a Cincinnati Reds fan who also enjoyed gardening. Most importantly, he was dedicated to his family.
"He was devoted to his wife. When one was sick, one took care of the other," said son Tom Ankenbauer, of Covington.
He leaves his wife of nearly 50 years, Dorothy; other sons, Jim of San Diego, and David, Bill and Paul Ankenbauer, all of Northern Kentucky; daughters JoAnn Wess, Marilyn Rogg and Mary Jo Ankenbauer, all of Northern Kentucky; a sister, Audrey Rose of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and 17 grandchildren.
