Services for Emily Williams Gardenhire, 81, will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Robert Gorrell officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home.

Born on May 22, 1923, to Sam and Artie Williams in Opelika, Ala., she died on April 30, 2005, in Ardmore. She was preceded in death by her parents. She married Robert S. Gardenhire Jr. on July 28, 1946, in Montgomery, Ala.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Gardenhire Jr., of the home; sons, Bob Gardenhire III and wife, Marcy, Oklahoma City, Andy Gardenhire and wife, Nancy, Lawrenceville, Ga.; daughter, Ann Perkins and husband, Tim, Ardmore; sisters, Jamie Heintz and husband, Ralph, Florida, and Floy Smith, Alabama; grandchildren, Amy Freeman and husband, Dave, Rob Gardenhire and wife, Carrie, Heather Gee and husband, Andrew, and Ryan Gardenhire; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Freeman, Hannah Freeman and Emma Gardenhire.

Memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.

Wanda Daniel

Services for Wanda Lee Daniel, 81, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2005, at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Tolbert officiating and Bob Keck assisting. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home.

Born on Aug. 29, 1923, in Ardmore, Okla., she died on May 2, 2005, at her residence.

She and Wayne A. Daniel were married on May 6, 1944.

Wanda Lee Daniel will be greatly missed by everyone she left behind unexpectedly on May 5, 2005. Wanda Lee was a very capable, creative and energetic lady who dearly loved her family and her friends and loved her Lord even more. She spent countless hours studying the Bible, attending church at Trinity Baptist, chatting with friends, sewing, doing needlework, writing poetry, gardening and woodworking. She was a member of Mattie Bruce Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She spent more than 30 comfortable years in the home her husband remodeled for them prior to his death. And it's fitting that she took her last breath there just four days before their 61st wedding anniversary. Wanda is enjoying the celebration in heaven with her husband, Wayne, daughter, Jo Ann Daniel-Stanton, sister, Freida McMeans, parents, Molene Massey Cox and Ernest V. Cox, all of Ardmore, and sister, Betty Joy Townsend of Oklahoma City.

Wanda is survived by a daughter, Karen Lee Johnson, Benton, La.; a son, Ernest Wayne Daniel, Mesa. Ariz.; two sisters, Ernestine Brandt, Ardmore, and Roberta Burkett, Longmont, Colo. She also will be remembered by her grandchildren, Jamie Robinson Morgan, Aaron Adel, Cayce Francis, Brandon Daniel and Chelsie Daniel; and three great-grandsons, Jake Adel, Will Adel and Luke Adel.

Bearers will be Tom Brandt, John Adel, Johnny Robinson, Larry Frances, Doug Johnson and Greg McMeans. Honorary bearers are John Means, Dr. Joe Hamill and Dr. Garland Clay.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Cross Timbers Hospice, 207 C St. NW, Ardmore, OK 73401.

Dorothy Daniel

Services for Dorothy Daniel, 71, will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Donny Custar officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home.

Born on Sept. 17, 1933, in Springer to Austin and Hazel Charles Howard, she died on May 2, 2005, at her residence in Lone Grove. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A lifetime resident of this area, Mrs. Daniel was a volunteer at the Clothes Closet and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She and Allen Daniel were married on Nov. 14, 1952, in Ardmore.

She loved taking care of her family.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two daughters, Sue Dalton and Deborah Kay Owens, Lone Grove; a sister, Louise Harris, Ardmore; three grandchildren, Debbie Lamb, Ardmore, Greg Dalton and Cory Parkerson, Lone Grove; and great-granddaughter, Kolby Lamb, Ardmore.

Bearers will be Don Owens, Cory Parkerson, Greg Dalton, David Harris, Shane Harris and Michael Harris. Honorary bearers are Norris Spencer and members of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 tonight at Craddock Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cross Timbers Hospice, 207 C St. NW, Ardmore, OK 73401

Frank K. Tutt III
(September 27, 1922 - July 28, 2011)

Frank K. Tutt III, born 9/27/22 in Denison, TX and passed away peacefully at home in Ardmore, OK on 7/28/11. Frank graduated from Henryetta (OK) High School in 1942 and went directly into the service. He became an officer in the Marine Corp. and flew transport planes. Later, during the Korean War he was a flight instructor in Pensacola, FL. Longtime Tulsans will remember him as a businessman who owned Frank Tutt’s Furniture Showcase, as well as other business ventures.
Frank was married for 53 years and 1 day to his wife Schuyleen, who predeceased him in Tulsa in 2003. He is survived by his daughter Tracie Mordy, her husband David and their daughter Caroline, of Ardmore and his son Frank IV, his wife Cindy and their daughter Molly, of Arlington, TX.
He will remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather who had a keen sense of humor and always had time for his family. A private family service will be conducted in Ardmore.

Glenn Edward Stubbs
(June 10, 1965 - August 16, 2011)

Funeral Services for Glenn Edward Stubbs, 46 are scheduled for 2:00 Saturday at the New Hope Church of God with Rev. Robert Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in Rose hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a visitation Friday evening from 7 to 8 at the Craddock Funeral Home. He was born on June 10, 1965 to Bob and Joanne Stubbs in San Diego, California and was raised by his grandmother Ruth Stubbs. He attended school at Western Heights which is where he graduated from in 1983. He went on to the University of Oklahoma to play football as a walk-on but only for his freshman year as injuries prevented him from further playing again. He then went on to study criminal justice as his major. In 1988, he graduated from Oklahoma University with bachelors in criminal justice and had several job offers opening for him with one including the FBI but did not want to move to New York City. He was hired by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and was there for 24 years. He was a OBN Rappel Master, Fire Arms Instructor and Nationally recognized Adjunct Instructor with Multi-Jurisdictional Counter Drug Task Force teaching several narcotics classed throughout the US. Though he loved being a cop, he always felt that his true calling was to be in youth ministry. He was a youth pastor for several years with ChrystalRock Cathedral and New Hope Church of God. He had such a great faith in God and loved ministering to teenagers. In 2006, he was ready to fulfill another lifelong dream to become a contemporary Christian recording artist. He would go on to sign with Incubator Records for a short period of time. He was such an awesome man of God. In 2009, he was going back to school at Kaplan University through their online program to get his Master’s Degree to become so he could teach criminal Justice at the college level. He was expected to complete his education in December with honors. In 2010, he stepped down as youth pastor in which Brandon Waters, whom was a part of his group at both Chrystal Rock and New Hope and his son Gregory, followed in his footsteps and continues to minister to the youth at New Hope Church of God. His favorite pass time included first and foremost spending time with his family and people that he loved, playing and writing music, going to firearm competitions, watching his kids play sports and watching Oklahoma Football. He was a diehard OU fan and did his best to never miss a football game or any other sports game that was to be aired on TV. The absolutely only time he would even cheer for another team would be only if said teams win or loss would help boost OU in the polls. He is survived by his wife of the home Pamela Stubbs, son, Gregory Stubbs of Lone Grove, Ok., daughter, Megan Stubbs of Lone Grove, Ok., Father and Mother in Law, Robert and Tecla Stubbs of Tucumcari, New Mexico, Brother Clint Stubbs of Phoenix, Az, brother in law, Rob Bradley of Reno, Nevada and his wife Gigi, He was preceded in death by his Mother, Joanne Sands Stubbs and his Grandmother, Ruth Stubbs Servicing as Pall bearers will be Darrell Weaver, Dub Turner, Wade Ford, Eric Hamblin, Chris Smith, Greg Stubbs. Honorary bearers will be Bryant Knox, Josh McGee, Dawson Cane, All other OBN Agents, Pastor Robert Peterson, Rick Reynolds, Charles Stubbs, George Powell, Jeff Nees, Andy Anquoe, Lou Barlow, Jim Campbell, Lee Elliot, Wayne Glasco, Dole Jencks, Steve McClelland, David Smith, Justin White, Walter Kerley, Marty Waters. Rev. Elbert Olive

Services for Rev. Elbert Olive, 66, Mill Creek, were held Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Free Will Baptist Church, Sulphur, officiated by Rev. Frank Duncan and Jerry Bailey Burial was at Mill Creek Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home. Born March 19, 1948 in Florence, Ala., to Paul and Ruth (Fox) Olive, he passed away Wednesday,
Jan. 14, 2015 in Mill Creek. Elbert grew up in Alabama where he attended school. He worked as an automobile body repairman and in the ministry where he served as a pastor for 32
years in various places including Houston, Texas, Fittstown and Sulphur, where he served as pastor at Memorial FreeWill Baptist Church and New Hope Baptist Church. Elbert and Donna Oxley were married on December 8, 2001 in Sulphur. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Edward Ray Olive and one sister, Glenda Sue Bevis. He is survived by his wife, Donna Olive, Mill Creek; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jack Leard, Tomball, Texas; five sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Lezlee Olive, Houston, Texas, Douglas Olive, Little Rock, Ark., Mike and Christi Dove, Durant, Russell and Terra Allen, Mill Creek and Chris and Ashley Allen, Sulphur; a brother and sister-in-law, Delbert and Stella Olive, Mussell Shoals, Ala. and two sisters, Faye Ginn, Florence, Ala. and Patsy Tidwell, Gulf Shores, Ala.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Serving as pallbearers were Gil Ragland, Gaylon Jenson, Brad Bailey, Jim Nye, Kevin Ivey, and Jimmy Oxley. Honorary bearers were John Stevens, Buster Greenwood and Glen Clary.

Oren Billy Whiten

Memorial services for Oren Billy Whiten, 68, Dallas, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 24 at Crossway First Baptist Church in Sulphur with Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating.
Billy was born in Sulphur on November 1, 1946 to O. B. and Leota Whiten. He died Thursday, Jan. 15 in Richardson, Texas. A 1964 graduate of Sulphur High School, Billy went on to own his own landscaping business and plant nursery business. He was also in the National Guard Reserve for four years. Throughout his life, he enjoyed guns, fishing and cave exploring. He is survived by two sons, Bryan Whiten and wife Samantha, Davis and Brandon Whiten and his wife Lauren, Sherman, Texas; one sister, Virginia Hill and husband Howard, Sulphur; one brother, Mark Clark and wife Pam, Yukon; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Toby Ann Whiten.

Franklin Don “Frank” Kennedy

Services for Franklin Don “Frank” Kennedy, 65, Sulphur, were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Sulphur with Pastor Dick Terry officiating. Interment followed at the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Hale’s Funeral Home of Sulphur. Frank was born August 15, 1949 in Sulphur to the late Clarence and Sybil (Walker) Kennedy. He died Thursday, Jan. 15, in Sulphur Frank and Margie Reynolds were married on August 18, 1980 in Gainesville, Texas. Frank was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. He attended Sulphur High School prior to serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Frank spent many years working in the oilfield. In 2001, he went to work for the City of Sulphur in the Parks and Recreations Department, retiring in 2007. Early in his adult life, Frank was an avid fisherman. Most recently, he enjoyed spending time watching his grandchildren play sports. Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 148. Survivors include his wife Margie; two daughters, Jonie Wallace and April Graves and husband Seth, Sulphur; son, Jason Kennedy and wife Teena, Davis; two brothers, Jerry Kennedy, California and Jr. Kennedy, Davis; five sisters, Margaret Cunnish and Jean Hall, both of Sulphur, Betty Kennedy, Ardmore, Sherry Kennedy, Tishomingo and Joy Hays, California and five grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by two brothers, L. H. and Wendell Kennedy.

Deborah Ann Reed

Funeral services for Deborah Ann Reed are scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Midway Hill Baptist Church between Sulphur and Davis. Interment will be in the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Deborah Ann Reed was born to George Washington Adams and Billie Christine (Jenkins) Adams on November 28, 1951 in Caddo, Okla. and entered into eternal life on Friday, January 16, 2015 in Oklahoma City at the age of 63 years. Debbie grew up and attended school in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School. She attended cosmetology school in Chickasha On February 26, 1971, she married Curtis Reed in Marlow at the Plato Baptist Church. She and Curtis made their home in Duncan, Lone Grove, and Davis and they have spent the last 15 years in Elmore City. Deborah was a department manager of the sporting goods section for Wal-Mart. Later, she also opened a Dollar General store in Davis before managing the Paul's Valley store. Debbie loved raising her animals. She raised dogs, chickens, guineas, and ducks. Also, she
loved to garden and go to garage sales. Deborah collected clocks, cookie jars, saddles, spurs, jewelry and rings. The highlight of her life was her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Reed, of the home; three sons: Steve Reed and Millie of Springer, Randy Reed of Elmore City and Brent Reed and Alanah of Davis; three brothers, Bob and Kelly Adams of Elmore City, Steve and Carolyn Adams of Quinton and Tom and Dana Adams of Pernell; six granddaughters; three grandsons and one great-grandson She was preceded in death by her parents: George Washington Adams and Billie Christine Adams and one granddaughter, Raegan Reed.

Paul Wayne Burleson, Jr.

Services for Paul Wayne Burleson, Jr., 53, Davis, were held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at the Dougherty Baptist Church with Rev. Willard McCartney, Jr officiating. Interment followed in the Dougherty Cemetery under the direction of Hale’s Funeral Home of Davis. Paul was born December 14, 1961 in Purcell to Paul and Jessie (Barnes) Burleson, Sr. He died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015 in Oklahoma City. Paul & Kathy were married on July 25, 1982 in Dougherty. Paul grew up in the Oklahoma City area before moving to Ardmore where he graduated from high school in 1980. He spent 28 years working for the City of Ardmore, retiring in 2009 as an operator in the waste water treatment facility. Paul was an avid fisherman, fishing every opportunity he had. Family was of the utmost importance to him, especially his grandchildren. If his grandchildren were involved, Paul was there to support them. He enjoyed collecting items such as rare antique fishing lures, coins and knives, passing those collections to his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Kathy; sons, Jeff Burleson and wife Amy, Dougherty and Bradley Burleson and wife Randi, Sulphur; five grandchildren; parents, Lonnie and Jessie Martin, Davis; five sisters, Connie Koch, Tammy Jones and Deanna Vaughn, all of Sulphur, Loretta Beverly, Madill and Paula Beason, of Lexington; two brothers, Steven and Roy Burleson, both of Lexington. Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Burleson and his grandfather, Jess Barnes. Serving as pallbearers were Scott Sanford, Steve Johnston, RL Beverly, Curtis Beverly, Jerry Vaughn and Kyle Koch.
