Billy Ray “Bill” Canup

Services for Billy Ray “Bill” Canup of Davis, were held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015 at the Chickasaw Trail Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Hetherington officiating. Interment followed at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis under the direction of Hale’s Funeral Home of Davis. Bill was born September 16, 1934 in Crowell, Texas to the late George Raymond and Ruby (Eason) Canup. He died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 in Sulphur, at the age of 80 years, four months and 16 days. Bill and Patricia Jane Pagan were united in marriage on September 29, 1957 in Phoenix, Ariz. After attending Phoenix Union High School, Bill joined the U.S. Marine Corp and served during the Korean Confl ict. After he was honorably discharged in 1956, Bill began a 45-year career driving a truck. Throughout his years of truck driving, Bill, better known as “Two-Penny, ” worked for various companies including, Leeway Motor Freight, Joe Brown Trucking Co. and Hanson Aggregates, retiring in 2000. In earlier years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing and visiting with family and friends. Bill was an avid John Wayne fan, spending many hours watching his movies. Bill was a 32nd Degree Mason, with life memberships in the Davis, Sulphur and Wynnewood Masonic lodges. He was also a faithful member of the Chickasaw Trail Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife Patty; two sons, Tommy Canup and wife Trisha and Michael Canup; daughter in law, Terry Lynn Canup; two grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and one sister, BJ Johnson and two nieces. Bill was preceded in death by one son, Roy Glen Canup on February 13, 2014.

Lorraine A. Aglialoro

Services for Lorraine A. Aglialoro, 57, Medford, will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sulphur on Thursday, Feb. 12. She died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 in Medford. She is survived by her parents, Al and Mary Aglialoro; her sister, Rosalina Aglialoro Hoyle and two brothers, Alfred and Gary Aglialoro.

Linda York Brock

A memorial service for Linda York Brock, 52, was held on Sunday, Feb. 8 in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Born February 18, 1962 in Manassas, Va., she died February 2, 2015 in Grapevine, Texas. Linda graduated from Sulphur High School in May of 1981. She married Wayne Brock in Grapevine, Texas. They have one daughter, Megan Brock. She is survived by one sister, Carol Chandler; three brothers, Charles, Kenneth and James York, all of Suphur and many cousins, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Cleona and James York.

Charles Thomas ‘Tom’ Hamm

Charles Thomas ‘Tom’ Hamm died January 25, 2015 at an Atlanta, Georgia assisted living center. Tom was born to the late Charles W. Hamm and Theil Connor Hamm June 21, 1930 at Amarillo, Texas. Tom grew up in Texas and in Corpus Christi was a graduate of Corpus Christi College-Academy in 1948. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business from Tulane University in 1952 and moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma that year. For many years he was the manager of the family owned Ardmore Credit Bureau. He and the former Catherine F. Crane were married January 11, 1964 in Ardmore. Catherine preceded him in death March 3, 1997. A member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tom had also attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sulphur, Oklahoma. He had served as treasurer of the Ardmore Kiwanis Club for many years, was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include two sons, Robert Thomas ‘Bob’ Hamm and Michael Charles ‘Mike’ Hamm; a grandson, Kyle Thomas Hamm and granddaughter, Natalie Jean Hamm. Funeral services will be Monday, February 16, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Ardmore, conducted by Reverend Thomas Dowdell. Cremation-With-Care will follow under the direction Harvey- Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory. The family suggests that memorials, in Tom’s name, may be made to St. Mary Scholarship Fund % St. Mary Catholic Church, 125 E St SE, Ardmore, OK 73401.

Bobby Dean Crenshaw

Services for Bobby Dean Crenshaw, Mill Creek, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday Feb. 7, at the Mill Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church with by Rev. Jonathan Smith and Dean Ross officiating. Burial was at Mill Creek Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home. Bobby Dean Crenshaw was born June 8, 1943 in Troy to T.C. and Norma (Brock) Crenshaw. He passed away Tuesday Feb. 3, 2015 in Mill Creek, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 25 days. He married to Janet (Quinton) Crenshaw in Sulphur, on June 11, 1963. Bobby grew up in Troy, attending school there before going to Mill Creek where he graduated from Mill Creek High School. He moved to Oklahoma City where he attended mechanic school before being drafted into the army, serving from 1966-1969. After his military service, Bobby worked in Sherman, Texas before moving to Mill Creek in 1972 and working at the Daube Ranch and as a loader at U.S. Silica until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents and other family & friends. He is survived by his wife, Janet Crenshaw, Mill Creek; one daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Tony Gordon, Mill Creek; one son, Billye Bob Crenshaw, Mill Creek; two grandsons, Bryan Dean Gordon, Quinton Ty Lane Crenshaw; two great-granddaughters, Bayley Gordon and Brookelyn Gordon; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Vic Crenshaw, Lane, Okla.; one sister, Yvonne Frantz, Sulphur; two nephews; one niece; a special cousin who is like a brother, Dean Ross and his dog, Big-Un. Pallbearers were Sam Orr, Ronald Aduddell, Jackie Pitmon, Mike Pitmon, Mike Tobler and Ed Lenard. Honorary bearers were Coach Corey Cole, Coach Woody Haigood, Coach Willie Kiddie, Chase Beratto, Bradley Stephens, and Justin Clifton.

Emma Jewell Wilkerson

Services are pending at Hale’s Funeral Home in Davis for Emma Jewell Wilkerson, 73. She died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015.

Jesse Orland Webley

Jesse Orland Webley was born Feb 15, 1942 in Arlington, Va., to the late Orland Ira and Sara Esther Webley. He died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 in Ardmore at the age of 72. Jesse attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. In January of 1965, he joined the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War, earning the ranks of Lieutenant. After being honorably discharged in January of 1971, Jesse returned to the area where he worked many years as a chemist for the Wynnewood Refinery. He resided in Davis for the last 45 years. Survivors include a niece, Lorra Webley-Deason; and a nephew, Darin Webley, both of Shawnee. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ray Webley and nephew, William Ray Webely. Arrangements were under the direction of Hale’s Funeral Home of Davis.

Jeremy Sean Boyd

Jeremy Sean Boyd “Johnson”, 36, of Murray County was born March 21, 1978 in Sulphur, and died February 7, 2015 in Davis, Okla. Jeremy attended Sulphur High School. Anyone who truly knew Jeremy knew he had a heart of gold. He met Deana Sharlene Allen of Gene Autry in 1997, started dating in 1998 and went on to marry in 2000. They shared 16 years together raising three girls, Alicia Smith 24, Shelby Smith 19, and Kaitlyn Boyd 12, who also reside in Gene Autry. Jeremy loved spending time with his family more than anything. He also loved the game of football, but OU was #1. Survivors also include his grandparents, Gloria and David Moore, Sulphur; mother, Janine Smith, Davis; brother, Zack Smith, Davis; sister, Rachel Eades, Davis; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandpa George Ivy Boyd, Sulphur; dad, Paul Smith, Davis; two uncles, David Boyd, Sulphur and Larry Boyd, Sr., Sulphur. Close family and friends will have a private gathering at a later date. Jeremy’s family and friends will be notified.

Ruth Mann

Ruth Mann, 90, of Moore passed away February 9, 2015. She was born September 5, 1924 to Tommy and Nannie Blaker in Antlers. Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m., Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at Southmoore Baptist Church, 3801 S. Broadway, in Moore. Interment was held 2:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at Oaklawn Cemetery, Sulphur. under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.

Stoney Reynolds

Services for Stoney Reynolds, 71, Sulphur, were held 11:00 a.m., Monday, Feb. 16 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Sulphur with Pastor Dick Terry officiating. Interment followed at the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Hale’s Funeral Home of Sulphur. Stoney was born August 31, 1943 in Kiowa to the late Mike and Lavada (Daniels) Reynolds. He died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 in Ardmore. Stoney grew up in the Atoka/Hugo area. He and Leona Elrod were married on March 2, 1964 in Sulphur. Stoney was employed at the Sulphur Veteran’s Center for 17 years, working in the custodial department. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and being with friends and family. Survivors include four daughters, Margie Kennedy, Donna Watterson and Debbie Simmons, all of Sulphur and Margaret Baxter, Shattuck; one son, Link Reynolds, Sulphur; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Stoney was preceded in death by his wife, Leona; his parents; two grandsons; two brothers, Junior and Jimmy Reynolds; and grandparents, Frank and Bessie Reynolds.

Patsy Nichols

Funeral services for Patsy Nichols, 77, Mill Creek, are pending at DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur. Mrs. Nichols died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in Sulphur. Survivors included Ronald Aduddell and Richard Sloan.

Shannon Griffing Osborne

Shannon Griffing Osborne, 83, passed away on March 9 in Columbus, Ga. after a brief illness. Shannon is the daughter of Ted and Wendell Griffing, who were long time teachers at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf. She graduated from Sulphur Public Schools and held a college degree from the University of Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, a retired Army officer and two sons, Daniel and Stephen. She is survived by one younger brother, Terry Griffing, Minnetonka, Minn.; and one grandson. Memorials can be made to the Upatoi United Methodist Church, 13730 Macon Road, Upatoi, Georgia 31829.
