LONNIE ROSS CAUDILL
Lonnie Caudill age 64 died Thursday, October 9, 2003 at his residence in Grove, Oklahoma. The son of Thomas and Opal (Brown) Caudill, he was born on July 4, 1939 in Grove, Oklahoma, married Imogene Ownby on July 28, 1961 in Stockton, California. He worked for Precision Machine for 37 years as a Numerical Control Programmer. He was a lifetime resident of the Grove area and a member of the Faith Mission in Jay, Oklahoma. His parents and two brothers Kenneth Wayne Caudill and Paul Caudill and a grandson Joshua Jackson preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Imogene Caudill of Grove, Oklahoma; two children, Lonnagene Jackson and husband Rod in Lincoln, Arkansas and Wade Caudill and wife Mary of Fairland, Oklahoma; two brothers, Lloyd Caudill and Tommy Caudill in Grove, Oklahoma; one sister, Roseann Caudill of Grove; six grandchildren, Jordon Jackson and wife Misty, Leslie Jackson, Luke Jackson, Lacie Caudill, Marissa Caudill and Molly Caudill.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2002 at the Independent Baptist Church with Reverend Chester Crittenden officiating. The interment was held in the Olympus Cemetery. The services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.

JAMES E. CHAFEY
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - James E. Chafey, 74, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Levena Chafey of Albuquerque; son, Steven Chafey and wife, Marjorie of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Thomas Pounds of Denver, Colo., Brandon Chafey and Travis Chafey, both of Albuquerque; sisters, Zella Masters of Grove, Okla. and Ann Lawson of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Alma Martin.
Mr. Chafey retired after 23 years as a chief master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam. He then worked for Rust Equipment retiring in 1989.
James loved to travel with his wife. he loved his family and first and foremost, he was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. Services were held Monday, May 19, at 11 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veteran Memorial.

RALPH LEE CHAMBERLAIN
COLCORD, Okla. - Ralph Lee Chamberlain, 64-year-old resident of Colcord, Okla. , died Saturday, February 15, 2003, in Springdale, Ark. Born December 24, 1938, in Colcord, Okla. he was the son of Bill Chamberlain and Donna Hurt Chamberlain. Ralph spent most of his life in Colcord. Living in California and Colorado to work for a short time. He was a heavy equipment operator and raised cattle on his farm in Colcord. Ralph married Paula Sue Whitemore December 2, 1983, in Bentonville, Ark. and was a member of the Colcord Church of Christ. He was an avid storyteller and spent hours with friends and family sharing stories and visiting. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his brother J.D. Chamberlain.
His is survived by his wife, Sue Chamberlain of the home ; one son, Mark Mowery and wife Andrea of Colcord, Okla.; one daughter, Gina Glass and husband Doug of Colcord; two grandsons, Adam Mowery and Jacob Glass both of Colcord; one granddaughter, Whitney Glass of Colcord; one brother Johnny Ray Chamberlain and wife Jerri of Colcord; and an number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, February 17, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. , Tuesday February 18, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Mr. Ellis officiating Burial will follow in Dickson Cemetery.

HELEN GRACE CHANDLER
MULDROW, Okla. - Helen Grace Chandler, 47, of Grand Lake, Okla., passed away Saturday, June 14, 2003, near Noel, Mo.
Funeral Services are planned for Tuesday, June 17, at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Muldrow, Okla. Interment will follow at Redland Cemetery, south of Muldrow. The Rev. Loyd Crawford is to officiate.
Helen Grace Chandler was born on January 11, 1956, to Euell Jones, Sr. and Anna Bridges Jones. She was a graduate of Sallisaw High School, graduate of Connors State College and Northeastern State University, a former school teacher at Ft. Smith, Ark., Muldrow and Gans, Okla. at the Elementary and High School levels. She also served as Office Manager for Dr. Argo in Owasso, Okla.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Chandler of Tulsa, the son of Orville and Helen; parents, Euell, Sr. and Anna Jones of Van Buren, Ark.; five sisters, Virginia Mullins and Sandra Lewis, both of Muldrow, Donna Reichert of Alma, Ark., Betty Cartwright of Grand Lake and Gayle Jones of Van Buren; three brothers, Kenny, Larry and Lee Jones, all of Van Buren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Dale Jones and a daughter as an infant.
Pallbearers will be Michael Mullins, Chris Mullins, Jason Reichert, Jarod Pitts, Riley Jones and Heath Lewis. Honorary pallbearers are Euell Jones, III, Zane Martin and Todd Riggs.

Kenneth Lee Chandler
Kenneth Lee Chandler, 36-year old resident of Fayetteville, Ark. died June 22, 2003 in Srpingdale, Ark. Born Feb. 2, 1967 in Siloam Springs, Ark. he was the son of Oscar and Shirley Chandler. He was a lifelong resident of Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas and graduated from Watts High School in Watts, Okla. He was employed at Rockline Industries in Fayetteville, Ark. and enjoyed coaching youth sports and paying golf. He was of the Baptist faith. Kenny was preceded in death by his grand parents, Thurston and Sylvia Phipps and Oscar C. Chandler.
Survivors include his wife Meredith Chandler; two daughters, Ashton and Savanna Chandler, both of the home; one son, Jared Mitchell, also of the home; his parents Shirley Koger of West Siloam Springs, Okla., Oscar and Debbie Chandler of West Siloam Springs and Richard and Beverly Branstetter of Wheaton, Mo.; seven brothers, Waylon Chandler and his wife Loni of West Siloam Springs, Sonny Chandler and his wife Krista of Kansas, Okla., Chris Branstetter and Josh Branstetter, both of Wheaton, Mo. Rick Branstetter, Randy Branstetter and his wife Glenda, all of Billings, Mo. and Rocky Reed of Adams, Tenn.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, June 27 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark. with Rev. Lance Rogers and Rev. Joseph Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery, Delaware County, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, at Wasson Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the Direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Silaom Springs, Ark.

JACK T. "LEROY" CHILDERS
GROVE, Okla. - Jack T. "Leroy" Childers, 80, of Grove, formerly of Coffeyville, Kan., died Monday morning, May 12, 2003 at Integris Grove General Hospital.
Mr. Childers was born September 23, 1922 in Childers, Okla., to Warren Franklin and Olive (Culp) Childers. After he attended a local grade school in Childers, the family moved to Coffeyville, where Mr. Childers attended Field Kindley High School.
On April 12, 1942 he married Halcyon Harding in Wichita, Kan. Following his marriage, he began military service in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was discharged and returned to Coffeyville, where he worked for Funk Manufacturing and later Co-op Refinery, retiring in 1983 after 36 years. His last eight years were spent working as a safety engineer. The couple enjoyed Grand Lake for many years, moving there in the late 1980's. Mrs. Childers died May 29, 1998.
Mr. Childers attended Tyro Christian Church, was a past member of Keystone Masonic Lodge No. 102 AF&AM and member of American Legion Post No., 20 of Coffeyville.
He is survived by one son, Dwain Childers of Rogers, Ark.; one brother, Phillip Childers of Tulsa, Okla.; one grandson; two great grandchildren.
Mr. Childers was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one son, Laren; one brother, Wesley; four sisters, Echo, Julia, Ola and Connie.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, in Robbins Cemetery, west of Coffeyville. Friends may call at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel Tuesday from 1 to 9 p.m. The family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Edgewood. Memorial gifts may be given to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and left at the funeral home. Friends should gather at the grave site prior to service time. Pastor David Bycroft will officiate.

ELIZA VIRGINIA CHRISMON
MIAMI, Okla. - Eliza Virginia Chrismon, a resident of Miami, died Tuesday afternoon January 21, 2003 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center, Miami, at the age of 91.
Eliza, who also went by Virginia or Mawsey, was born August 11, 1911 in Jay, Okla. to James and Anne (O'Field) Tanner. A full-blood Cherokee Indian, she attended Seneca and Chillico Indian Schools. She was a Jehovah's Witness and a homemaker. She married Robert Chrismon in 1930 and was preceded in death by two sons, Ernie and Robert Chrismon, and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by: one son, Edward Chrismon of Tulsa; one daughter, Bonnie Ramona Pilkengton of Miami; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, January 24, at 2 p.m., at Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Miami, with interment at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.

LINDA MARIE CHRISTENSEN
FAIRVIEW, Mo. - Linda Marie Christensen, 57, of Fairview, died at 7:35 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at an area hospital following a five month illness. She was born April 16, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa to Lloyd Elmer and Lillian Marie (Rife) Wood. She moved to Fairview from Grove, Okla. in 1998. She was a homemaker and operator of a construction/excavation company. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Grove.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Christensen and Rodney Christensen, both of Fairview; two brothers, Keith Wood of Tipton, Iowa and Jerry Wood of Atlissa, Iowa; one sister, Beverly Yerington of Tipton; six grandchildren; and a special friend, Phil Augustine, of Grove.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Sanders, October 23, 1997 and by a brother, Gary Wood.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 5, at the First Christian Church in Grove, with Dr. Wayne Shaw officiating. Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery, southwest of Neosho, Mo.
Arrangements were under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.

IOLA CAPTOLA CLAUSSEN
SPERRY, Okla.-Iola C. (Suzie) Claussen, 91, of Turley, Okla. died Thurs., Feb. 6, 2003.
Iola Claussen was born May 27, 1911 to Robert & Rhonda (Smith) Lloyd in Tulsa, near what is now called the Tisdale expressway. At a very early age she moved to Barnsdall where she attended grade school and high school and graduated May 1929.
She was married to Martin Claussen. After Martin entered the armed service and they were moved to Alaska for 4 years then upon completion of his term, they moved back to Turley, Okla. Iola was better known by her nickname "Susie". Susie then took up volunteer work for the Turley Nutrition Site, where she taught art and ceramics. She was later invited to help start a nutrition site in Owasso where she worked as long as she was able to go. While involved in these programs, she worked as a volunteer in area council on aging, she served as a Silver haired legislator, taught Sunday School and in V.B.S. She was an active member of the Rebecca Lodge. She found time to build a base fiddle out of an old fashioned wash tub and organize her own Sr. Citizen band called "Susie's Symphony." She was a member of the performing art Senior Citizens Center. As a hobby she collected antique dolls, especially native American dolls. She became a member of the traditional doll study club of Tulsa and through this was invited to attend the National Convention of doll clubs. She was an active member of the Christian Church a loyal supporter until she became incapacitated. She was well read, quick of with and humor. In May 1998 she was moved to a nursing home in Duncan, Okla. Even in the Nursing home almost to the end, if her minister or a member of the family walked in and asked "how are you today Grandma?", she replied by shaking her finger at them as she said "Better than you."
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Martin L. Claussen and son Jerry Claussen. She is surivived by grandsons, Marty J. and wife, Heather Claussen of Kansas, Okla., Alex and wife, Amitia Claussen of Supulpa, Okla. Great Granddaughters, Carolyn, Rose and Abigail Anne. Niece, Lazuanita Martin of Skiatook.
Services were held Mon., Feb. 19 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, Okla. The Reverend Chet Veazey officiated. Burial was at Ethel Reese Cemetery in Barnsdall. Pallbearers were Marty & Alex Claussen. Honorary Pallbearers were Rebecca Lodge No. 137 of the I. O. O. F., Turley.

EDWARD L. COCKS
Edward L. Cocks, 89, of Rogersville, Mo. and formerly of Grove passed away Friday, June 27, 2003 at Cox North Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 1. Mt. Moriah & Freeman Chapel, I-435 at Holmes Rd. Burial will follow in Mr. Moriah Cemetery South. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Monday June 30 at the chapel with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
Mr. Cocks was born February 6, 1914, in Kansas City, Mo. to Maurice Lee and Muriel Cocks. Mr. Cocks was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1941-1945 in the Asia Pacific area. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #618 A.F. & A.M. Grandview, Mo. Mr. Cocks was retired form civil service in the Department of defense after 28 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl, who passed away in 1989.
Survivors include his sons, Edward Lanning and wife, Pat of Rogersville, Mo. and Gene Ison and wife, Carol of Grove; sisters, Ann Gray and Elsie Stemaier, both of Grandview, Mo. Muriel Lea Brown of Gahanna, Ohio; several grand children, nieces and nephews.

MARVELEEN COOK
SOUTHWEST CITY, Mo., Marveleen Joy Cook, 63, of Southwest City, Mo. died Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 5:30 a.m. in her home after an illness.
Marveleen Cook was born on May 5, 1940 in beaver County Okla. to the late Herbert Forest Burditt and Mary A. (Walker) Burditt. She lived most of her life in Southwest City, Mo. She was a homemaker and worked on a poultry farm.
She was preceded in death by one daughter Carla Rae Cook Sanders, her father, two brothers, Forest Burditt, and an infant brother.
Survivors include her husband Ivan Cook of the home in Southwest City, Mo., three daughters, Sandra Vaughn of Southwest City, Mo., Marshia Allison of Anderson, Mo., and Bonny Bohall of Southwest City, Mo., her mother Mary Burditt of Springdale, Ark., five grandchildren, Daniel Vaughn, Sasha Sanders, Whitney Allison, Orry Allison, and Jessica Bohall, three brothers, David Burditt, Doyle Burditt and Vernon Burditt, and two sisters Johnny Stamps and Bonnie Lawson.
Graveside services for Marveleen Cook will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Mo. There will be no visitation. David Munoz, Minister, will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Bohall, John Allison, Pete Britton, and Grant Sanders. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Funeral Home in Southwest City, Mo.
JAMES O. COLBERT, JR.
SPAVINAW, Okla. - James O. Colbert, Jr., age 72, of HCR 60, Box 480, in Spavinaw, passed away at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2003, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., following a two-month long illness. Mr. Colbert was born June 11, 1930, in Willitts, Calif. He moved to Spavinaw in 1978. He retired in 1967 from the U.S. Navy with 30 years of service. He was currently employed in Industrial Refrigeration Management with Simmons Industries, headquartered in Siloam Springs, Ark. He attended the Oak Chapel Church near Jay, Okla.
He married Julia Phares on June 19, 1970, in McMinnville, Ore. She survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, William Colbert, of Rogers, Ark., and Robert Colbert, of Jay; one daughter, Linda Robbins, of Seneca, Mo.; one brother, Pete Colbert, of Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Dixie Steele, of Tulsa, Okla.; and eight grandchildren.
The body has been cremated. A family visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, January 11, 2003, at the Oak Chapel near Southwest City, Mo. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin.
