William ‘Bill’ Perry Mansfield Sr.

The graveside service for William "Bill" Perry Mansfield Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mountain View Cemetery in Ashland. Pastor Philip Welklin of the Ashland Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate.

Mr. Mansfield, 57, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 31, 2001) at his home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1650 Clark Ave., Ashland, OR 97520.

He was born Sept. 21, 1943, in Medford, a son of Alva "Sonny" and Beulah (Woods) Mansfield. He graduated from Ashland schools and attended what is now Southern Oregon University for three years.

Mr. Mansfield served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Ashland Gun Club.

Mr. Mansfield enjoyed painting, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include a son, William Perry Jr., Payette, Idaho; and his mother, Beulah Mansfield. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack; and his father, "Sonny."

Arrangements: Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Crematory, Ashland.

Jonnie Mae Harlow

The memorial service for Jonnie Mae Harlow will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rogue Valley Fellowship in Medford. Pastor David Spronger will officiate. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mrs. Harlow, 58, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 31, 2001) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born May 26, 1942, in Modesto, Calif., the daughter of John and Viola Hastings. She attended school in Roseburg. On July 18, 1984, in San Diego, she married Paul Mason Harlow, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1997 from San Diego.

Mrs. Harlow was a licensed vocational nurse at the Veterans Affairs Hospital and Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego. She was also an assistant manager of Mini-Storage Warehouse in Medford.

She served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1961.

Mrs. Harlow was a member of the Christian Faith Center and Sunrise Community Baptist Church in San Diego. In Medford, she attended Rogue Valley Fellowship.

She was a dollmaker and enjoyed arts and crafts.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Dawn Dench, Gloucester, Mass., and Teri Moore, San Diego; a son, Tom Moore, Clarksville, Tenn; two brothers, Gerald "Swede" Hastings, Eagle Point, and Bill Hastings, Jacksonville; and six grandchildren.

Arrangements: Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives and Crematory.

Peter Allison

The funeral for Peter Allison will be at 4 p.m. today at O’Brien- Rodgers and Crosby Funeral Home in Reno, Nev.

Mr. Allison, 82, of Reno, Nev., formerly of Medford, died Jan. 26, 2001, in Reno.

He was born Nov. 30, 1918, in Jerome, Ind. He married Donna Rhodes, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Allison was a clerk at the University Inn. He lived in the Medford area for 15 years and was the foreman for Hillcrest Orchard.

He served in the military from 1944-1949.

Survivors include a son; a sister, Clara; and one grandchild.

Betty Jane (Grant) Ross

The funeral for Betty Jane (Grant) Ross will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Highway Baptist Church in Falcon, Colo. Pastor Randy Ragsdale will officiate.

Mrs. Ross, 33, of Peyton, Colo., formerly of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 31, 2001) in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Memorial contributions may be made to Highway Baptist Church, 11095 Eggar Drive, Falcon, CO 80831.

She was born July 4, 1967, in Medford, a daughter of Ralph and Pauline (Turnbow) Grant. She lived in Medford from 1967-1988, and graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1985. She also attended Pacific Baptist College in San Dimas, Calif. On May 19, 1990, in San Dimas, Calif., she married Mark Ross, who survives.

Mrs. Ross taught Spanish and sign language at a charter school in Falcon, Colo.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Breazyihannah Jené Ross, Peyton, Colo.; her parents, Ralph and Pauline Grant, Medford; and a sister, Nancy Shurtliff, Medford. She was preceded in death by a son, Glide Timothy Ross; and a brother, Douglas Ralph Grant.

Elberta Lampkin

The memorial service for Elberta Lampkin will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church in Medford.

Mrs. Lampkin, 86, of Medford, died Monday (Jan. 29, 2001) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford, OR 97501.

She was born Elberta Gilmore on Oct. 14, 1914, in Palisade, Colo. She received a degree in education from Colorado State College. On June 4, 1944, in Flagstaff, Ariz., she married Ward Lampkin, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1951 from Elko, Nev.

Mrs. Lampkin was a school teacher, retiring in 1944.

She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Lampkin enjoyed traveling.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Janice Pierce, in Missouri; a son, John, in New York; and five granddaughters. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Home, Medford.

Willis E. Hanson

The funeral for Willis E. Hanson will be at noon Saturday at the Central Point Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor George White will officiate. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mr. Hanson, 72, of Central Point, died Jan. 25, 2001, at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 23, 1928, in Princeton, Minn., a son of Alvin and Bernice (Chapman) Hanson. On April 18, 1951, in Albany, he married Mona Groom, who survives.

Mr. Hanson was a logger in Alaska, and a telephone lineman in Klamath Falls. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1962 from Klamath Falls. Locally, he was a radio technician, owning and operating Winniford Communications until his retirement in 1996.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947.

Mr. Hanson was a member of the Rogue Eagles Radio Control Aircraft Club.

He enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, camping and motorcycles.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Robert E., White City; a daughter, Susan L. Scherencel, Keene, Texas; two brothers, Wayne, Seattle, and Dean, Corvallis; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Home, Medford.

Harland Gene Fulwider

A celebration of the life of Harland Gene Fulwider will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at 3677 S. Stage Road, Medford. Pastor Jim Berjlund of Valley View Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate.

Mr. Fulwider, 66, of Medford, died Saturday (Jan. 27, 2001) in Medford.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rogue Valley Adventist School Student Fund, 3675 S. Stage Road, Medford, OR 97501, or Providence Community Health Foundation, Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.

He was born March 8, 1934, in Canon City, Colo. On Nov. 27, 1966, in Colorado Springs, Colo., he married Joan Marion Holm, who survives.

Mr. Fulwider was a clerk for the federal government. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1997.

He was interested in the railroad.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Wendy Fulwider, Medford, Lindlea Allen, Madison, Tenn.; and Tina Bryant, in Utah; and four grandchildren.

Arrangements: Abbey Funeral, Medford.
