Louis Ardean Corwin
The funeral for Louis Ardean Corwin will be at noon Sunday at Conger-Morris Chapel in Medford. Pastors Ed Keyes and Gregg Phillips will officiate. Private interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford.
Mr. Corwin, 77, of Ashland, died Friday (Sept. 22, 2000) at his home.

He was born March 1, 1923, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Chester and Zora Klock Corwin. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1937 and attended what is now Southern Oregon University in Ashland.
On June 29, 1941, in Medford, he married Corabell Smith, who survives.
Mr. Corwin was an orchardist, owning and operating Corwin Orchards. He also operated Corwin Logging in the Southern Oregon area. He later worked in real estate, owning Corwin Realty.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Corwin was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He enjoyed golfing, gardening and raising cattle.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Harvey Louis, and Daniel Lynn; a daughter, Diane Christina Chamberlain; and five grandchildren. A son, Randy Lee, preceded him in death.

Eva ‘Bonnie’ Morris
The joint memorial service for Eva "Bonnie" Morris and Everett "Montie" Morris will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford. Pastor Dale Howell of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Grants Pass will officiate.
Mrs. Morris, 84, of Medford, died Thursday (Sept. 21, 2000) at her home.

She was born Eva Christensen on Jan. 22, 1916, in Miller, Neb., a daughter of Otto and Mary (Pace) Templin. She received an associate’s degree from Dana College in Blair, Neb.
On April 12, 1941, in Grand Island, Neb., she married Everett "Montie" Morris, who died in 1989.
Mrs. Morris was a teacher’s aide for Medford School District.
She enjoyed sports, especially baseball and football, visiting the coast, dining and dancing.
Survivors include a son, Michael Sean, Medford; a brother, Rod Christensen, Lincolnville, Maine; a sister, Dorothy Williams, Milwaukie; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Glen Randolph Van Horn
Glen Randolph Van Horn, 91, of Medford, died Thursday (Sept. 21, 2000) at his home. No service is planned.
He was born Jan. 6, 1909, in Hollis, Okla. On March 26, 1950, in Reno, Nev., he married Pauline E. True, who died in 1996.
Mr. Van Horn was a conductor with Southern Pacific Railroad for 28 years, retiring in 1975. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Eugene in 1975.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and playing cards.
Survivors include a daughter, Norma Shields, Medford; a stepson, Claude Potts, Medford; two brothers, R. Van Horn, Phoenix, Ariz. and Ted W. Cope, Florence; and two sisters, Lela Walker, North Bend, and Billie Reed, Alameda, Calif; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A son, Charles Richard, preceded him in death in 1938.

Phyllis M. Botts
Phyllis M. Botts, 72, died Thursday (Sept. 21, 2000) at the Ashland Community Hospital.
A private inurnmant of cremains will be at Scenic Hills Memorial Park in Ashland. No service is planned.

She was born Jan. 7, 1928, in Enterprise to Floyd and Ethel (Eggleson) Zollman. She graduated from Enterprise High School in 1945.
On Feb. 11, 1946, in LaGrande, she married Bradford B. Botts. They moved to Ashland in 1947.
Mrs. Botts worked as a dental assistant for 25 years for Dr. Burdick before retiring. She enjoyed playing bridge, flower gardening and was a long time member of the Ladies Elks.
Survivors include her husband Brad; sons Monte and Craig, both of Ashland; two sisters, Florence Montgomery, Phoenix, Ariz., and Jean Rametes, Gold Hill; four brothers, Orville Zollman, Medford, Kenneth Zollman, Peoria, Ariz., Bud Zollman and Myrle Zollman, both of Joseph. She was preceeded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Phyllis Lucille Johnson
A celebration of life for Phyllis Lucille Johnson will be held at 10 a.m. today, at the Royal Oaks Club House at the Royal Oaks Mobile Park at 4069 S. Pacific Highway, Medford.
Mrs. Johnson, 85, of Medford, died Friday (Sept. 22, 2000) at her home.

She was born on April 2, 1915, in Eleva, Wis. to John William and Carrie Jackson.
On Sept. 13, 1982, in Reno, Nev., she married Charles Johnson, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and spending time with her dog.
Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Woodriff, Sequim, Wash.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Joy Carr
The graveside service for Dorothy Joy Carr will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodville Cemetery in Rogue River. A reception will follow in Rogue River.
Mrs. Carr, 97, of Scio, died Saturday (Sept. 23, 2000) at Santiam Memorial Hospital in Stayton.

She was born Dorothy Joy Pennington on Jan. 20, 1903, in Houston. On Dec. 25, 1930, in Carson City, Nev., she married Carl Butler Carr, who died in 1997. She moved to Rogue River in 1977 from Los Altos, Calif., and to Scio in July 1998.
Mrs. Carr was a member of the Rogue River Garden Club and of a bunco club. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Roger P., Walnut Grove, Calif.; a daughter Molly A. Erkson, Scio; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Gordon Roger Olsen
The funeral Mass for Gordon Roger Olsen will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford. The Rev. Liam Cary will officiate. The graveside service will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mr. Olsen, 84, of Medford, died Saturday (Sept. 23, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 28, 1916, in St. Paul, Minn. On March 23, 1940, in St. Paul, Minn., he married Anna Elizabeth Onisko, who survives.
Mr. Olsen worked at Lockheed Aircraft in California, where he assembled P-38 fighter planes during World War II. In 1946, he moved to Oregon and worked as a millwright in White City. He then moved to Brookings in 1953, where he owned and operated an appliance store. In 1968, he moved to Eugene, where he lived until his retirement in 1979. For 13 years he wintered in Arizona, where he worked in maintenance for Mesa Verde National Park. He returned to Medford in 1992.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mr. Olsen enjoyed golf, fishing, woodworking and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Mary Ann Smith, Medford, Barbara Olsen, Phoenix, Ariz., and Kathie Leonard, Prineville; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Malcolm and Edwin; and one great-grandson.
