Virginia Mae Edwards
The memorial service for Virginia Mae Edwards will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Ashland Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Lee Mansveld will officiate. A dinner will be held at the church at noon.
Mrs. Edwards, 62, of Medford, died Tuesday (Jan. 4, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born Virginia Mae Faler on July 30, 1937, in Klamath Falls. She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
Ms. Edwards was a nurse's aid at several nursing homes in the area.
She was a member of Boys Town.
Ms. Edwards enjoyed needlepoint and collected bells and dolls.
Survivors include three sons, Oren and Mark, both Ashland, and David, Medford; her mother, Alice "Beryl" Faler, White City; a brother, Leroy Faler, Central Point; and a sister, Donna Williams, White City.

Thelma R. Martin
Thelma R. Martin, 71, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 5, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service will be held.
She was born Thelma Brown on May 5, 1928, in Bernie, Mo. She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
Mrs. Martin was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Jolene Cowan, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Gloria Separa, Deer Park, Wash., and Brenda Render, Sand Point, Idaho; a son, Rick, Santa Fe, N.M.; her mother, Pearl Lee Brown, Medford; three sisters, Christine Whitten, Jacksonville, and Betty Lindsey, Canyon, Texas, and Louise Tuers, Citrus Heights, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Martin, in 1965; and two brothers.

Wilhelmena B. Hartford
The funeral for Wilhelmena B. Hartford will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Conger-Morris Chapel in Medford. Interment will follow at Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hartford, 79, of Central Point, died Wednesday (Jan. 5, 2000) in Central Point.

She was born Wilhelmena Gilles on June 24, 1920, in Altus, Ark.
On Nov. 2, 1941, in Longmont, Colo., she married Charles F. Hartford, who died in 1974. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1953 from Longmont. She lived in Ashland for 25 years prior to moving to Central Point.
Mrs. Hartford was a homemaker.
She enjoyed birdwatching, gardening, stuffed animals and family gatherings.
Survivors include three daughters, Joann Cernick, Central Point, Elizabeth Redfern, in Arizona, and Beverly Wright, in Washington; two sons, Myron Fultz, in Alaska, Stan Quinton, in Oregon; a brother, Chris Gilles, in Colorado; a sister, Elizabeth Gilles, in Colorado; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.
Gladys E. Schneider
Gladys E. Schneider, 81, of Medford, died Sunday (Jan. 2, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center. A private service is planned.
She was born Gladys Scofield on April 28, 1918, in Devils Lake, N.D.
On May 1, 1943, in Berkeley, Calif., she married Alfred C. Schneider, who died in 1989. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Berkeley in 1980.
Mrs. Schneider enjoyed reading, needlework and sewing.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Kelly, Mentor, Ohio; two sisters, Carol Foster, Medford, and Eunice Carlin, Aurburn, Wash.; a brother, Paul Scofield, Cokato, Minn.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Duane, in 1995; three sisters; and one brother.

Carl C. Mak
The funeral for Carl C. Mak will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bates, Evans and Fehrensen Funeral Home in Sonoma, Calif. No local service is planned. Interment will be in Napa, Calif.
Mr. Mak, 96, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 5, 2000) in Medford.

He was born March 16, 1903, in San Jose, Calif.
On Sept. 21, 1924, in San Jose, he married Selma Clair Jones, who died in 1988. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1991 from Napa, Calif.
Mr. Mak was a manager at P.G.E. in the Bay Area for 45 years.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in California.
Mr. Mak enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth, Medford, and Warren, Glen Ellen, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Larry Jacob Rexius Jr.
The graveside service for Larry Jacob Rexius Jr. will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Brownsboro Cemetery, Highway 140, Eagle Point. Pastor George White of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate.
Mr. Rexius, 31, of Lakecreek, died Saturday (Jan. 1, 2000) in Reno, Nev.
He was born June 17, 1968, in Jackson, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley 10 years ago, and to Reno, Nev., two months ago.
Mr. Rexius worked for his father at Import Parts Center in Medford. In Reno, he worked for Grand Auto Parts.
He enjoyed downhill skiing, hiking and bicycling.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Galbreath, Reno, Nev.; his father, Larry J. Rexius Sr., Lakecreek; his grandfather, Jacob Rexius, Lenore, Idaho; four brothers, Paul and Jacob Rexius, both Medford, and Brian Statley, Savage, Minn., and Nick Statley, Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Tenaia Rexius, Central Point, and Tracey Aubin, Sullivan, Mo.

Pauline Hale
The funeral for Pauline Hale will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hale, 78, of Medford, died Tuesday (Jan. 4, 2000) in Linda Vista Care Center.

She was born Pauline Riggs on Dec. 29, 1921, in Harriman, Tenn. She had lived in the Rogue Valley since infancy.
In 1947, in Medford, she married Elbert "Moose" Hale, who died in 1970.
Mrs. Hale worked for Bear Creek Corp. for 33 years.
She enjoyed camping, canning and the outdoors.
Survivors include a son, Steve, Jacksonville; two sisters, Helen Ullmer, Santa Ana, Calif., and Francis Crum, Central Point; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
