Charles Allen Russell

Charles Allen Russell, 83, of Medford, formerly of Grants Pass, died Friday (May 28, 1999) at Medford Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born on Aug. 1, 1915, in Minneapolis.

Mr. Russell served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He moved to Grants Pass after the war, and moved to Medford four years ago.

He worked as a security guard.

Mr. Russell was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include a sister, Norma Breckheimer, Bloomington, Minn.

Keitha Snyder

The graveside service for Keitha Snyder will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.

Mrs. Snyder, 103, of Medford, died Monday (June 7, 1999) in Medford.

Memorial contributions may made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501.

She was born Keitha Gillette on May 20, 1896, in Kansas.

In 1944, she married Lloyd Snyder, who died in 1979. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1979 from Modesto, Calif.

Mrs. Snyder was a seamstress. She made custom draperies until her retirement in the late 1970s.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Donna Trull and Yevonne Glazier, both Medford; a grandson, Jim Miller, Central Point; 11 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Hillcrest Mortuary, Medford

Mary Ann Ziegler

The memorial service for Mary Ann Ziegler will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel. The Revs. Earl Best and Ron McKay will officiate.

Mrs. Ziegler, 54, of Jacksonville, died Friday (June 4, 1999).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 4412 S.W. Barbur Blvd., Suite 220, Portland, OR 97201.

She was born Dec. 29, 1945, in Ashland, a daughter of Bill and the late Lydia Barker.

On June 13, 1964, in Ruch, she married Robert "Bob" Ziegler, who survives.

Mrs. Ziegler enjoyed gardening, needlework, stamps, and raising cattle.

Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, John, Medford, and Sheldon, Eagle Point; her father, Bill Barker, Jacksonville; a brother, Louie Barker, Central Point; two sisters, Minnie Thames, Jacksonville, and Madge Barker, Salem; and six grandchildren.

A baby sister preceded her in death.

Arrangements: Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Ruby Merling Irons

Ruby Merling Irons, 84, of Gold Hill, died Thursday (June 3, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center. The private service will be held Monday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1425 Irving, Suite 100, Portland, OR 97232.

She was born Ruby Ewell on Oct. 27, 1914, in Mountain Home, Utah.

On Dec. 13, 1948, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, she married William "Bill" Irons, who survives. She lived in Central Point for 22 years, and in Gold Hill for 27 years.

Mrs. Irons was a custodian for the Central Point Post Office for 12 years, retiring in 1972.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gold Hill Ward, and was a member of the Relief Society at her church.

Mrs. Irons enjoyed fishing, gardening and hunting.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Ernest W. Irons, Central Point, and Jerry Barrett, Medford; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Stacey Wayne Frazier

The memorial service for Stacey Wayne Frazier will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Hull & Hull Chapel in Grants Pass Pastor Bob Wood will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass.

Mr. Frazier, 43, of Portland, formerly of Grants Pass, died Wednesday (June 2, 1999) at his home.

He was born Jan. 30, 1956, in Grants Pass. He moved to the White City area when he was 16.

Mr. Frazier worked for Rit-Rite Boat and Lumber Mill in White City. In 1985, he moved to Portland, where he worked for Beal Transliner and at various jobs as a welder and carpenter.

Survivors include two daughters, Jassica and Michelle Frazier, both Grants Pass; his mother, Thelma Frazier, Portland; his father and stepmother, Leslie and Jeanie Frazier, Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Sheryl Pulver, Vancouver, Wash., and Sheila Pelletier, Fairview.

Friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at Hull & Hull Chapel.

Richard Charles Martin

Richard Charles Martin, 75, of Medford, died Thursday (June 3, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service was held.

He was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Ellsworth, Kan.

On June 19, 1954, in Oceanside, Calif., he married Patsy Bussey, who survives.

Mr. Martin served in the Marines for 28 years. He was a highly decorated master gunnery sergeant.

He moved to the Rogue Valley from California in 1970 and graduated from then-Southern Oregon State College in 1975.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Frederick C., Medford; a daughter, Karen Blackett, Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Bill, in Georgia; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Martin.

Arrangements: Hillcrest Mortuary and Memorial Park, Medford.

Helene P. Tobinson

Helene Peterson Tobinson, 81, of Las Vegas, formerly of Medford, died Friday (April 30, 1999) in Las Vegas. A service has been held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501.

She was born Helene Stock on Oct. 13, 1917, in Kemmerer, Wyo.

In Palm Desert, Calif., she married Wallace Tobinson, who died in 1994.

Mrs. Tobinson worked for Jim Collins, Brown & White Agency and Donald Herried Insurance Agency in Medford. She lived in the Rogue Valley from 1940 to 1962.

She enjoyed traveling, and vacationing at her beach house in Rosarita, Mexico.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Ann Wilcox, Medford, and Carol Jean Hegdahl, Camino, Calif.; a son, Harvey John Peterson Jr., Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Palm Mortuary, Henderson, Nev.

William Vernon Tracey

The funeral for William Vernon Tracey will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Riverview Chapel in Portland.

Mr. Tracey, 94, of Central Point, died Thursday (June 3, 1999) at Medford Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Nov. 22, 1904, in Odessa, Wash.

In 1928, in Portland, he married Hannah Eccles, who preceded him in death. He moved to the Rogue Valley 20 years ago from Portland.

Mr. Tracey was a mill worker at Esco Steel Mill, retiring after 42 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice Clark, Central Point; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in Central Valley Chapel, 800 S. Front St., Central Point.
