Cathryn May Allen
The memorial service for Cathryn May Allen will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Medford Friends Church, 525 DeBarr Ave., Medford. Pastor Mark Burton of Medford Friends Church will officiate.
Mrs. Allen, 85, of Tillamook, formerly of Central Point, died Monday (Jan. 11, 1999) at her home.
She was born Cathryn May Elrod on March 11, 1913, in Madison, Kan.
On March 14, 1937, in Emporia, Kan., she married Vernon L. Allen, who died in 1993. She moved to Medford in 1939, and Central Point in 1940. In 1996 she moved to Tillamook.
Mrs. Allen worked for Central Point School District No. 6 for 11 years, retiring in 1981.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and cooking.
Survivors include a daughter, Melba Greene, Tillamook; two sons, Wayne, Youngstown, Ohio, and Harold "Hal," Sunny Valley; a brother, Robert Elrod, Medford; two sisters, Elizabeth, Oregon, and Winona, Wyoming; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Christine A. Homewood
The graveside memorial service for Christine A. Homewood will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Finley-Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Portland. Pastor Tyrus Miles of St. John's Lutheran Church, Portland, will officiate.
Mrs. Homewood, 76, of Medford, died Monday (Jan. 11, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Christine A. Rayhill on Jan. 9, 1923, in Ontario, Calif.
On May 11, 1941, in Long Beach, Calif., she married Lloyd J. Homewood, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Homewood was a homemaker.
She enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening. She won many blue ribbons at county fairs for her flowers.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Benfield, Medford, Cathryn Gutwig, Beaverton, and Lori Patton, McMinnville; a son, Jim, Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Berta Cope, and two brothers, Charles and James Rayhill.

Bert G. Davis
The graveside service for Bert G. Davis will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. Relatives and friends will lead the service. A gathering for family and friends will follow at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagle Point.
Mr. Davis, 72, of Eagle Point, died Saturday (Jan. 9, 1999) in Portland.

He was born March 20, 1926, in San Jose, Calif.
On Dec. 26, 1948, he married Mildred Irene Humble, who preceded him in death. He lived in the Rogue Valley most of his life.
Mr. Davis worked in logging, millwork and landscaping. He also owned and operated several cafes prior to his retirement.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Davis enjoyed cooking, and volunteered as a cook for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Portland Temple.
Survivors include five daughters, Elda Lacy, Medford, Elizabeth Thompson, White City, Clara Laible and Judith Close, both of Vancouver, Wash., and Saundra Brown, Lake Zurich, Ill.; three sons, Carroll, Eagle Point, Harold, Nevada, and David, Germany; 41 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

June Markee
The memorial service for June Markee will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Siskiyou Chapel, Perl Funeral Services, Medford. The Rt. Rev. John L. Thompson will officiate.
Ms. Markee, 72, of Medford, died Monday (Jan. 11, 1999) at her home.

She was born June Wiswell on June 25, 1926, in Hot Lake, Union County. She was raised and graduated from high school in Haines, in Baker County.
Ms. Markee was a graduate of the University of Oregon and a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.
She moved to the Rogue Valley from Portland 41 years ago.
Ms. Markee was a lab technician.
She was the secretary-treasurer of the Lake of the Woods Home Association Board, as well as a member of the P.E.O. Chapter CP.
Ms. Markee enjoyed cross-country skiing, sewing and walking.
Survivors include a daughter, Grier Gaffney, Medford, two sons, Brian Markee, Seattle, and Blaine Markee, Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Ila Taylor, Baker City; and three grandchildren.

Janet M. Morris
The funeral service for Janet M. Morris will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, Calif. Interment will be in Sacramento Memorial Lawn.
Mrs. Morris, 62, of Sacramento, formerly of Prospect, died Sunday (Jan. 10, 1999) in Sacramento.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born Janet M. Gibson on March 26, 1936, in Prospect, a daughter of Leslie and Ethel Gibson.
She married Joseph Morris, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Morris retired from the California Highway Patrol after 33 years of service as an office service supervisor III.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald and Michael, both of Sacramento; and two brothers, James and Raymond Gibson, Medford.

Karen Elaine Paschke
The graveside service for Karen Elaine Paschke will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Ms. Paschke, 57, of Medford, died Sunday (Jan. 10, 1999) in Medford.

She was born Dec. 16, 1941, in Minneapolis. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Minneapolis in 1946.
Ms. Paschke attended the First United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed music.
Survivors include two brothers, Keith, Roseburg, and Ken, Aurora; and several nieces and nephews.

Kasemsri A. Miele
The memorial service for Kasemsri Aksornsukalak Miele will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Medford Friends Church, 525 DeBarr Ave., Medford. Private interment will be in Friends Cemetery in Newberg.
Mrs. Miele, 58, of Central Point, died Sunday (Jan. 10, 1999) in an auto accident east of Roseburg.

She was born Kasemsri Aksornsukalak on March 9, 1940, in Bangkok, Thailand.
On Sept. 14, 1968, in Media, Pa., she married John R. Miele, who survives. She had lived in Central Point since 1985.
Mrs. Miele was a graduate of Chulalongkorn University of Bangkok, Thailand, and received her master's degree from the University of Delaware.
Mrs. Miele had been postmistress of the Crater Lake post office for the last eight years.
She was a member of the Medford Friends Church.
Mrs. Miele enjoyed cooking and working with flowers.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Vincent, Roseburg, Victor, Corvallis, and Ralph, DuPont, Wash.; a daughter, Joy Miele, Boulder, Colo.; two sisters, Kanlaya Allen, Seaside, and Chaweewan Khovithunkhit, Chiangmai, Thailand; and a grandson.

Lynn Allen Hansen
The memorial service for Lynn Allen Hansen will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cascade Community Christian Church, 2471 Mill Creek Drive, Prospect. The Rev. Carl Smith of Cascade Community Christian Church will officiate.
Mr. Hansen, 37, of Prospect, died Thursday (Jan. 7, 1999) in an auto accident on Highway 140 east of Fish Lake.

He was born May 2, 1961, in Medford. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Myrtle Point four years ago.
Mr. Hansen was a janitor and maintenance man for Prospect School.
He was a member of the Co-op Fellowship in Prospect.
Mr. Hansen enjoyed fishing, camping, chopping wood and working.
Survivors include his mother, Louise Weekly, Myrtle Point; two sisters, Marie Taylor, Prospect, and Vicki Wells, Fort Frazier, British Columbia; a nephew and a niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Ernest Hansen.
