Viola A. ``Tootsie" Rigo Arendas, 81, of Munhall, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, in Baldock Health Care Centre, North Huntingdon. She was born July 30, 1920, in Homestead, a daughter of the late John and Mary Yuhaz Rigo. She was a former member of the Hungarian Reform Church, Munhall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Arendas; a son, William Arendas; and a brother, John Rigo. She is survived by a daughter, June Coyne and her husband, Jack, of North Huntingdon; three grandchildren, John Coyne and his wife, Sandy, Linda Telin and her husband, Jerry and Lorri Madeya and her husband, Joseph, all of North Huntingdon; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie Ruskay of New Jersey and Dorothy Doczy and her husband, James, of Florida; a brother, Charles Rigo and his wife, Helen, of California; a sister-in-law, Alice Rigo of State College; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Alexander Jalso officiating. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.

Albert G. Barker, 76, on Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was born in Duquesne on April 16, 1925, son of the late Albert E. and Janet M. (Smith) Barker. Mr. Barker was a retired metallurgical specification analyst with U.S. Steel, Duquesne Works. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during peacetime. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Duquesne, a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus, past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #8980 in Garden City, S.C., and past Faithful Navigator of San Miguel Assembly in South Carolina. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, receiving both the George Meany Labor Award and the St. Joan of Arc Award. Husband of Margaret Ann (Harrigan) Barker;  Father of Albert G. Barker Jr. of Liberty Boro and Susan Lynn Manning of Pittsburgh; brother of Velma ``Toots" Whitney of McKeesport, Janet Oyler of Newark, Calif., William Barker of Duquesne, Theodore Barker of Delmont, James Barker of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dewayne ``Pete" Barker of Torrance, Calif.; grandfather of Jessica DeFrancisco, Samantha Barker, Sydney and Marisa Manning. Caroline Ruth Baughman

Caroline Ruth Baughman, 90, of Mt. Pleasant RD5, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, in Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born July 4, 1911, in Mt. Pleasant Township, a daughter of the late James and Marie Sidehammer Yezek. She was a graduate of the former Hurst High School and worked for many years in retail sales in the Washington, D.C., area. She was a member of the Ladies Aide at Frick Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Baughman; three brothers, Joseph, James and Frank Yezek; four sisters, Ann Yezek, Marie Slater, Josephine Bowman and Evelyn Shaw. She is survived by two sisters, Emma Geiger of Mt. Pleasant RD5 and Eleanor Sopko and her husband, George, of Greensburg; and a brother, Stanley Yezek of Mt. Pleasant RD5. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Keith Solomon officiating. Linda L. Briskey, age 52, suddenly on Monday, Oct. 8, 2001. Daughter of the late Andrew J. and Ann Briskey. Beloved sister of Jeanne Fennell, Marian Hucko, Thomas and David Briskey. Also survived by 13 nieces and nephews. Ms. Briskey was treasurer of the Three Rivers Paddling Club and historian of the Longvue Garden Club. She was also a member of the Pittsburgh Explorer's Club. She was born June 22, 1921, in Indiana, Pa., a daughter of the late Samuel H. and Alice Silvis Bryan. She was a retired employee of the Old Republic Insurance Company in Greensburg and was the owner of Helen Bryan Hobby and Flower Shop. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the Beth Circle, the Concert Hand Bell Choir and the Senior Choir of the church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Bryan; and a sister, Jane Bryan. Friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Angeline Capparelli, 89, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, in Beverly Health Care, Murrysville. She was born Dec. 24, 1911, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Magnloia Scarlett. She was formerly employed by DeLallo's kitchen in Jeannette. She was a member of Ascension Church and the Sacred Heart Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter P. Capparelli, in 1966; a son, Peter D. Capparelli; a great-granddaughter, Laura Kocevar; two brothers, Frank and Louis Scarlett; and a sister, Mary Scarlett. She is survived by two  daughters, Joyce and her husband, Larry Weimer, of Greensburg and Mary and her husband, Bob Reeger, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Harrison City; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a brother, Joseph and his wife, Irene Scarlett, of Jeannette; and several nieces and nephews. James Terrence Donohoe, 80, of Saltsburg, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, in Greensburg. He was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Scottdale, a son of the late James and Delia Kelly Donohoe. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Donohoe was employed by the University of Pittsburgh as a laboratory technician. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Coast Guard. He also had a special love for and skills in antiquities. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Donohoe and John (Jack) Donohue; two sisters, Dorothy and Mary; a special friend, Jean Kate; and a nephew, Alex Donohue. He is survived by two sisters-in-law, Anna Donohoe and Mary Durcella Donohue; several nieces and nephews; and grand-nieces and nephews. Friends received in the FRANK R. Samuel J. Hamilton, 76, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, in his home. He was born Oct. 3, 1925, in Irwin, a son of the late Willard and Dorothy Peters Hamilton. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as shop manager for Industrial Alloys of Penn and was formally employed by Pittsburgh Reflector of Irwin. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, North Huntingdon. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army. Sam was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer and will be remembered as being a wonderful husband and  Father. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Willard and Jack Hamilton. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Madeline Gombos Hamilton; a daughter, Jane Humlan and her husband, Michael, of North Huntingdon; three sons, Stephen and his wife, Rebecca Hamilton, of North Huntingdon, Timothy and his wife, Vicki Hamilton, of Madison, and Thomas Hamilton of Johnstown; five grandchildren, Chad, Erika, Susan, Michael and Kelsey; a brother, Ralph Hamilton of Paintertown; a sister, Dorothy Mardell of North Huntingdon; and several nieces and nephews. Lewis Indof Sr., 92, of Rostraver Township, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, in Frick Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Born in Fitz Henry on March 31, 1909, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Philpot) Indof. Mr. Indof was an avid sports enthusiast. He retired from Pittsburgh Coal Company in 1973. He was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Smithton, the SNPJ Lodge 87 of Herminie, AARP 3174 of Sutersville, United Mine Workers of America, District 2 and the Rostraver Grange 919. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Katherine (Rechichar) Indof; three sons, Lewis T. Indof of Belle Vernon, John M. Indof of Wyano and Joseph M. Indof of West Newton; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Henry Indorf Sr., of Rostraver Township. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Stanley, Ernest, Joseph, John and Frank; three sisters, Mary Furno, Albina Lindich and Josephine Sokol. Mary Ann Iorio, 69, of Delmont, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, in Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Florida. She was born Sept. 4, 1932, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late John and Sarah (Smith) Wermlinger. Mary Ann was a dedicated Mom and Grandma who enjoyed cooking and charity work. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Wermlinger; and a sister, Gertrude McKee. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Dominic Iorio; six children, Deborah Bucciero and husband, Anthony, of Export, Yvonne Jaehne and husband, William, of Gibsonia, Dominic Iorio and wife, Janice, of Sarasota, Fla., Dr. Craig Iorio and wife, Andrea, of Park Ridge, Ill., Dr. Clark Iorio and wife, Beth, of Medina, Ohio, and Gina Iorio Higgins of Venice, Fla.; a brother, Jack Wermlinger and wife, Margie, of Plum Borough; and a number of nieces and nephews. She also will be missed by her 13 grandchildren. John William Kutshinsky

John William Kutshinsky, 54, of Latrobe RD5, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, in Unity Township. He was born Feb. 20, 1947, in Latrobe, a son of Albert W. Kutshinsky Sr. of Latrobe RD5 and the late Lydia Jean Todd Kutshinsky. John was a nuclear engineer, having served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Enterprise and formerly worked for Stone-Webster in Boston. He worked for the Literacy Council helping people to read and tutored at WCCC. In addition to his  Father, he is survived by a sister, Karen Laurene Rhome of Bradenville; and a brother, Albert W. Kutshinsky Jr. of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry, with the Rev. David D. Wilson Jr. officiating. Interment will be private.

Bernard J. ``Bernie" Leech Sr., age 90, on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001. He was a son of the late James B. and Mary (Maher) Leech. Husband of the late Anna B. (Casey) Leech.  Father of Nancy (Jim) O'Connell of Penn Hills, Peggy (late Gordon) Hudak of Wilmerding, Regina (Joe) Curran of Wilmerding, Mary Pat (Bernie) Cromer of Wilkinsburg, Corrinne (Paul) Estok of Monroeville, Bernie (Anita) Leech of Michigan and Michael (Nancy) Leech of Georgia. Survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Brother of Edward (Lena) Leech of Florida, James (Lois) Leech of Florida, Robert (Jean) Leech of East McKeesport, and the late Francis Leech and Mary (Lawrence) Connelly. Also survived by nieces and nephews. He was a retired tester for the Westinghouse Air Brake Co., Wilmerding, with over 42 years of service.

She enjoyed hand making quilts, many of which were entered into the Westmoreland County Fair each year earning many ribbons. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy L. Miller and husband, Willis R., of Madison; a brother, John M. Onoffrey and wife, Bertha, of LaFollette, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Jean Onoffrey of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Mutnansky in 1981; a brother, Andrew Onoffrey; and four sisters, Elizabeth Trimbath, Dorothy Miklos, Pauline Onoffrey and Anna Losz. Friends received at the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., 730 W.
