Mary Weaver Robertson

Mary Weaver Robertson, 101, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, in Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. She was born Jan. 12, 1899, in Hahntown, a daughter of the late Joseph and Antonia Smola Weaver. She was a member of the Irwin Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robertson; an infant son; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; four brothers , Frank, Joe, Jim and Charles Weaver; and a sister, Ida Dudle. She is survived by a son, Robert Robertson of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters , Mae Dias of Las Vegas, Nev., Hope Cook of Jeannette and Norma Jean Yost of North Huntingdon; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be private with Pastor Frank Sherman officiating, followed by interment in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park.

Patricia B. Smith

Formerly of Jupiter, Fla. and Roanoke, Va.

Patricia B. Smith, 56, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000 in St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 1, 1944 in Roanoke, Va., she was the daughter of Joyce Akers Habingreither of Roanoke, Va. and the late Clifford Bruce. Mrs. Smith was a billing and collection supervisor for Children's Community Care in Wexford and attended the Allegheny Center Alliance Church. In addition to her mother , survivors include her husband, Ingle R. Smith; a daughter, Tami Cavey and her husband, William of Cranberry; her step- Father , Andy Hebingreither of Roanoke, Va.; two brothers , Lonnie Turner of Roanoke, Va., Kinnard Turner of Syracuse, N.Y.; two sisters , Shelby Sullivan of Savannah, Ga. and Brenda Figueroa of Syracuse, N.Y.; and a granddaughter, Ashley Cavey. Friends will be received from 12 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the McDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 3 p.m. in Mars Alliance Church, Rt. 228, Mars with the Rev. Rockwell Dillaman, Pastor of the Allegheny Center Alliance Church officiating. Additional visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 627 Hardy Road, Vinton, Va. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Penn Forest Church of God, Roanoke, Va. Burial will be in Roanoke, Va. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.

Frank Wrzesinski
North Braddock

Frank Wrzesinski, 76, of North Braddock, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000. He was a retired foundry worker from Specialty Steel in Braddock and Verona. Member of the Braddock Moose, American Legion Post 99, World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of Sacred Heart Church, Braddock Hills. He is survived by his brother, Robert Wrzesinski; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by five sisters , Valarie Michalak, Stella Michalak, Helen Michel, Laura Peretick and Agnes Kettering. Friends will be received and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the RONALD V. LUCAS FUNERAL HOME, corner of Bell and Jones avenues, North Braddock, (412) 271-1361. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.

Mamie V. Yancosky
Mt. Pleasant

Mamie V. Yancosky, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, in Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mt. Pleasant. She was born Nov. 10, 1916, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late William Angelo and Concetta Nesta Crivella. Mamie was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society of the church, the Christian Mothers, and the Ladies Guild, of which she was a past president. She was also a member of the ladies auxiliaries of the Kosciuszko Club, Slovak Club, the sons of Italy and the Catholic daughters of America. In addition to her parents, Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Yancosky, in 1969; six brothers , William, Carmen, Anthony, John, Frank and Joseph Crivella; two sisters , Rose Vanella and Margaret Ceroni. She is survived by her loving family: children, Annie Forsythe and her husband, Dennis, of Scottdale, Joseph "Coke" Yancosky and his wife, Carol, of Mt. Pleasant, Connie Thomas and her husband, Terry, of Mt. Pleasant, Bernadette Kattera and her husband, Dave, of Mt. Pleasant and Toni Brown of Palm Coast, Fla.; grandchildren, Jim Forsythe, Sean Forsythe, Denise Adler, Steve Yancosky, Joseph Yancosky, Michael Yancosky, Jennifer Thomas, George Thomas, Terri Renee Thomas, Anthony Thomas, April Thomas, Jaclyn Kattera, Samantha Brown and Benjamin Brown; great-grandchildren, Joey Forsythe, Rachel Adler, Hannah Adler, Brook Yancosky, Jessie Yancosky, Adam Thomas and Breanna Thomas; and a sister, Helen Krzemien and her husband, John, of Mt. Pleasant. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. at GALONE-CARUSO'S, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant, with Father Michael W. Matusak as celebrant. Interment Transfiguration Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.

Raymond H. Clark

Raymond H. "Pete" Clark, 40, of Herminie, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. He was born Nov. 13, 1959, in Greensburg, a son of Robert Clark and the late Elizabeth Duncan Clark. In addition to his mother , he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry R. Clark Sr. In addition to his Father , he is survived by his wife, Brenda Helman Clark; two sons , Raymond H. Jr. and Blake Q.; and a daughter, Elisha E., all at home; a brother, Frank Clark of Greensburg; three sisters , Linda Byers and her husband, Tony, Sue Gyergyo, both of Greensburg, and Brenda Sager and husband, Ron, of Mt. Pleasant; Father - and mother -in-law, Norman and Janet Helman; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Services will be private. The MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., Jeannette, in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth R. "Betty" Correll, 62, of Hempfield Township, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at home. She was born Jan. 16, 1938, in Ohio, the daughter of the late Edward and Evelyn Smail Sayers. She was employed as a director of HBC for Shop 'n Save. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Correll. She is survived by a daughter, Trudy A. Brinker and her husband, Jeff; a son, Robert E. Correll and his wife, Susan, all of North Huntingdon; and six grandchildren, Erica, Matt, Julie and Jeffrey Brinker and Jennifer and Robert Correll. Friends will be received at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service and interment will be private.

Cypra III of N.J., Bettie Lou Kassouf of Dallas, Tx, and the late Bonita Lea Andriso. Sister of John Gribbin of Cannonsburg, Pa., Grace Phillips of Sturgeon, Pa., and Queenie Mark of California. 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends received at the JOHN F. Richard H. Gessinger, 71, of Penn, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, in his home. He was born Jan. 24, 1929, in Pitcairn, a son of the late William H. and Violet Boyle Gessinger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Gessinger; and three brothers , Kenneth, Edward and William Gessinger. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances Stenson Gessinger; two daughters , Karen and husband, Harry Bussard, of Irwin and Donna and husband, Gary Kerlin, of Jeannette; two brothers , Hank Gessinger of Pitcairn and Donald Gessinger of Level Green; a sister, Anna Mae Rush of Harrison City; and six grandchildren, John, Michael and David Bussard and Jennifer, Gary and Daniel Kerlin. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Harrison City, with the Rev. Dale Smith officiating. Interment will be private.

Regis D. Hegerty Sr., 84, of Troy Hill, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, in Mariner Health Care. Born Oct. 17, 1915, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John F. and Matilda Hegerty. Mr. Hegerty was an Army veteran of World War II and worked as a truck driver. He was a member of American Legion Post 565, Teamsters Local 249 and VFW Post 7090. Survivors include his wife Sylvia Hegerty; two daughters , Linda P. Baranowski of Pittsburgh and Diane E. Tremel of Pine; three sons , Kenneth R. Hegerty of Charleston, S.C., Timothy D. Hegerty of Worth and Regis D. Hegerty Jr. of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, 1501 Lowrie St., North Side. Christian Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Most Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Reserve, with the Rev. David Schorr as celebrant. Burial will be in Most Holy Name Cemetery, Reserve.
