WARREN DANIEL PFOST

Warren Daniel Pfost, 75, of Monroeville, on Friday, March 17, 2000. Husband of Gloria Landis Pfost and the late Margaret Walker Pfost; Father of Corda-Lou Johnson of Reading, Pamela Joan Pfost of Houston, Texas , Lee Pfost Liermann of Hempfield Township and Roxanne Huss of Belle Vernon. Brother of Ethel Quiring of Warminster and Caryl Hunter of Winter Park, Fla. Also survived by six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. in Crossroads Presbyterian Church, Haymaker Road, Monroeville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania Recreation and Parks Society, 1315 W. College Ave., Suite 200, State College, PA 16801; Monroeville Rotary Club, P.O. JOSEPH PULLION SR.

Joseph "Tom" Pullion Sr., 70, of Charleroi, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at his home. Born Dec. 13, 1929, in New Brighton, a son of the late Joseph P. and Armeda Nudo Pullion. He was a member of Mary, mother of the Church Parish, Charleroi, and was a volunteer at the Beverly Health Care Center. He was a Monessen High School graduate in 1947, and was a U.S. Marine veteran, having served during the Korean conflict. He was retired from U.S. Steel, Irvin Works. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lewis Pullion; three sons and daughters -in-law, Joseph Thomas and Catherine of New Jersey, Chawn and Karen of Greensburg and Drew and Sue of Greensburg; a daughter, Beth Pullion at home; a brother, Frank Pullion of Monessen; six grandchildren, Christopher, Collette, Chelsea, Kelsey, Drew Jr. and Justin Pullion; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Francis and June Lewis of Fayette City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Pullion. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC., 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Mary, mother of the Church Parish, Charleroi. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. Memorials may be made to the Melenyzer Cancer Center or Mary, mother of the Church Good Angel Fund.

NANCY NELLIE (PANICHELLA) ROSS

Nancy Nellie (Panichella) Ross, 83, of Pitcairn, died Friday, March 17, 2000. Wife of the late John A. Ross. mother of Florence Ross Sheridan of Pitcairn and Charles John Ross of Kansas City, Kan. Also nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. NO VISITATION. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael Church on Monday at 10 a.m. Arrangements made by the WM. O. PEARCE FUNERAL HOME INC., Pitcairn.

TINA A. RUMMEL

Tina A. Rummel, 41, of New Florence, died Friday, March 17, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Aug. 6, 1958, in Latrobe, the daughter of George and Mildred (Beam) Shaulis. She is survived by her Father , George Shaulis, married to Kathleen (Woods) Shaulis of Ligonier; her mother , Mildred Shaulis of Ligonier; her husband, Dennis W. of New Florence; a son, Drew, at home; a brother, Richard, married to Patty (Phelps) Shaulis of Ligonier; and maternal grandparents, Charles and Nellie Beam of Ligonier. Mrs. Rummel was former treasurer of Fairfield Little League baseball, and was a member of the Laurel Valley Band Parents. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the KENNETH A. STUART FUNERAL HOME, New Florence, where service will be held Monday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. William Pieringer officiating. Interment Menoher Memorial Park.

GRETHEL M. TRUXAL

Grethel M. Truxal, 86, of Latrobe, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born June 8, 1913, in Latrobe, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Anna Murray Weatherton. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Latrobe. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a receptionist and optometric assistant by Dr. Perlmutter's office in Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Truxal; and a brother, Patrick Weatherton. She is survived by a son, Earl D. Truxal and his wife, Geraldine, of Latrobe; two granddaughters, Lynne Golembiewski and Curt Dowden, and Laura Baradziej and her husband, Barry; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Trinity Lutheran clergy officiating. Interment in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.

GEORGE ZAMISKIE
George Zamiskie, 75, of Latrobe RR9, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born April 15, 1924, in Latrobe, a son of the late Michael and Anna (Lakotash) Zamiska. George was a 1950 graduate of Penn State University, and prior to retirement in 1985, he was a vocational teacher with the Homer Center School District in Indiana County for over 37 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church near Bradenville, a member of the Daniel P. Nolan Knights of Columbus Council 940 in Latrobe, and a member of the St. Vincent Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He was also a member, past president, and current vice-president of the Mended Hearts Chapter 31 in Latrobe, an honorary member of the Homer City Kiwanis Club, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Zomisky; and a sister, Ann Dombroski. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth A. "Libby" (Kissell) Zamiskie; a brother, Stephen Zamiskie and wife, Helen, of Latrobe RR9; four sisters , Mary Osterling and husband, Lloyd, of Latrobe RR9, Catherine Marlow and husband, Roy, of Spokane, Wash., Helen Poklembo and husband, Joseph, and Elizabeth Faith and husband, Eugene, all of Latrobe RR9; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Panachida service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church near Bradenville with Father Joseph Borodach as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe. Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 940 will hold services Sunday at 7:30 p.m., and Parastas service will be held Monday at 7 p.m., both in the funeral home. Members of the Mended Hearts Chapter 31 will hold a service Monday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mended Hearts Chapter 31, or to a charity of one's choice.

CAROL H. COLLINS

Carol H. Collins, 66, of Pennsville (Bullskin Township), died Friday, March 17, 2000, in UPMC Shadyside. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Moskowitz officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.

SILVIO P. CURCI

Silvio P. Curci, 76, of Mt. Pleasant RD5, died at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2000, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a concelebrated Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, with Mr. Curci's son, the Rev. Richard Curci, as principal celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Florian Cemetery, United. A parish wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant, or to the New Millennium Fund of Mt. St. Peter R.C. Church, New Kensington.

ORLANDO RAYMOND D'ORAZIO

Orlando Raymond D'Orazio, 78, on Thursday, March 16, 2000. Beloved husband of Angeline (D'Alfonzo) D'Orazio. Loving Father of Gary D'Orazio and Joanne Bednarofsky. Father -in-law of Frank Bednarofsky. Loving grandfather of Sara Michelle and Mark Paul Bednarofsky. Brother of Orly Battiste and Ethel Yahner and the late Olga D'Orazio, Gilda Hustwit, Larry Darcy, Fred and Romey D'Orazio. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Son of the late Rosalina and Charles D'Orazio. Friends received Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD., MORASCO CHAPEL, 9406 Frankstown Road (near Graham Boulevard), Penn Hills. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maurice Church, Forest Hills, Monday at noon.

ELEANOR E. (HALLBERG) JOHNSON

Eleanor E. (Hallberg) Johnson, 81, of Somers Point, N.J., formerly of Greensburg and Johnstown, died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, in the Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, N.J. She was born Nov. 10, 1918, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Charles S. and Catherine Deemer Hallberg. She formerly had been employed by the G.C. Murphy Co., Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Russell R. Johnson Jr.; and a brother, Roy W. Hallberg. She is survived by her husband, Russell R. Johnson; a daughter, Patti and her husband, John Spitz, of Somers Point, N.J.; four grandchildren, Russell R. III and his wife, Patricia Johnson, David C. and his wife, Molly Johnson, John Spitz Jr. and Jodie Spitz; two great-grandsons, Russell R. Johnson IV and Charles Johnson; a sister, Nancy Silvis of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, beginning Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. William A. Waugh officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.

HELEN LEVENS JONES

Helen Levens Jones, 85, of Pleasant Hills, on Friday, March 17, 2000. Born April 17, 1914, daughter of the late Sidney Charles and Augusta Victoria (Fabra) Levens. Wife of the late Herbert P. Jones. Beloved mother of H. Lawrence Jones of Bethlehem, Pa., and Sally Jones Schurko of Pittsburgh. Sister of Martin G. Levens of Sarasota, Fla. Grandmother of Catherine Susan Jones, Kyra J. Schurko, Evan Cosgrove Jones and Christopher James Jones. Also survived by a cousin, Gloria Pfeifer, a nephew, Stuart Craig Levens, and a niece, Alice Pagano. Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Dormont High School and Grace Martin's. She studied theater at Janet Waldorf's and appeared on the Nixon Stage. She was a volunteer from 1949 to 1970 as a storyteller at the Pleasant Hills Library, the School of the Blind and Pleasant Hills Grade Schools. She was also a volunteer at Mayview State Hospital for 13 years. She was a member of the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church and was active in the church "circle" for 48 years and a prior altar mistress and deaconess. She was a past president of the PTA of Pleasant Hills, the Pleasant Hills Garden Club and the Dormont New Century Juniors, a past program chairman of the Pittsburgh Civic Garden Center and a Republican committeewoman of 1970. She was an avid world traveler, a skilled craftswoman and designer of needlepoint and flower arranging. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, Old Clairton Road, Pleasant Hills. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Hills Library or the Pleasant Hills Garden Club.

PATRICIA E. KARR

Patricia E. Karr, 60, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, March 16, 2000, at the Monsour Medical Center, Jeannette. She was born Sept. 13, 1939, in Lyles, England, a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Pickering) Davies. Pat was employed as a product promotion specialist with Giant Eagle. Pat is survived by her husband of 37 years, Homer Karr; a daughter, Patricia Torrance and her husband, John, of Pleasant Unity; two granddaughters, Karleen and Korena Torrance; a brother, Ronald Davies and his wife, Dorothy, and a sister, Jean Davies, both of Canada; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Herminie, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Bossart officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park.

Virginia Walton Motheral, of Point Breeze, on Wednesday, March 15, 2000. Wife of the late George B. Motheral II; mother of Brinton, Thomas, and the late Megan; grandmother of Ted, Mark and Julia Motheral. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at H. SAMSON INC., 537 Neville St. (Oakland Civic Center). A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Third Presbyterian Church, Fifth and South Negley avenues, Shadyside. Interment private. RICKY A. MYERS

Ricky A. Myers, 42, of Gibsonia, formerly of Mt. Pleasant (Bullskin Township), went to be with his Lord Friday, March 17, 2000, at his residence. He was born July 29, 1957, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Kenneth R. and Doris Barnhart Myers of Mt. Pleasant. Rick was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Cranberry. He was employed by Killam Consulting Firm as an environmental engineer. He was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School, Class of 1975, and Penn State University. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Emma Miller Myers; maternal grandparents, Carl and Evalyn Hebenthal Barnhart; and Father - and mother -in-law, William and Jane Meason Smitley. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 18 years, Janice Smitley Myers; a son, Adam Richard Myers, and two daughters , Emily Joy and Alysa Lea Myers, all at home; four brothers , David A. Myers and wife, Debbie, of Connellsville, Kevin L. Myers and wife, Mary, of Mt. Pleasant, Donald R. Myers and wife, Bernadette, of Mt. Pleasant, and Jeff L. Myers and wife, Karen, of Bellefonte; a sister-in-law, Joy Byrwa and husband, Jim, of Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends were received in the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and will be received Sunday from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert T. Stamp officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlick Cemetery, Bullskin Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to benefit the children's future education.
