Thomas Day Bedenbaugh Sr.

Thomas Day Bedenbaugh Sr., 77, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 24, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. B. Mike Alexander officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.

Mr. Bedenbaugh was born July 5, 1930, in Newberry County, a son of the late James Wright Bedenbaugh and the late Eula Bair Bedenbaugh. He was a 1951 graduate of The Citadel and an Air Force veteran. He worked as a plant manager in the lumber industry in Orangeburg and Kershaw counties. He was also a member of Belin Memorial United Methodist Church and the Inlet Square Mall Walkers.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorice B. Myers.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Sylvia Bedenbaugh; son, Thomas Bedenbaugh Jr. and wife, Gilda of North Carolina; daughter, Paige Kilton and husband, Jim of Easley; four grandchildren, Nathan Bedenbaugh and Jorie Bedenbaugh of North Carolina, Jared Kilton and Olivia Kilton of Easley; one sister, Louise B. Antley of Aiken and a daughter-in-law, Susan Inabinet.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1500 Main St., Conway, SC 29526 or to Belin United Methodist Church, Land Acquisition Fund, P.O. Box 528, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Shaunvinique Shuler

Funeral services for Mrs. Shaunvinique Shuler, 22, of 2648 Big Buck Boulevard, Bowman, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2007, at New Covenant United Methodist Church in Bowman, with the Rev. Leonard Huggins and the Rev. Agnes E. Watson officiating. Burial will be in the Belleville Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Shuler died Saturday, August 18 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.

Shaunvenique Renee Shuler, daughter of Ms. Mary Mallard and Mr. Harvey Williams was born November 7, 1984, in Washington, D.C.

Shaun, as she was affectionately called, was a graduate of Bowman High School and Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. She had a genuine compassion for others, which she devotedly displayed through her work as a Ce.jpgied Nursing Assistant at Laurel Baye Nursing Home in Orangeburg. She was united in marriage to LaShaun Deon Shuler on July 7, 2005.

She leaves to cherish fond and precious memories, her husband, LaShaun D. Shuler of the home; her parents, Mary Mallard and Harvey Williams of Bowman; four sisters, Jammie Allen, Latoya Mallard and Crystal Mallard, all of Bowman and Keneshia Mallard of Orangeburg; two brothers, Darryl Allen of Bowman and Sonnie Allen of St. George; her paternal grandmother, Mattie Williams of Bowman; her father and mother-in-law, Nehmiah and Bernice Shuler of Bowman; three sisters-in-law, Linda Berry, Betty Joanne Shuler and Mynita Harrison, all of Bowman; two brothers-in-law, Larry Berry and Scotty Harrison, both of Bowman; six special friends, Drameca Johnson of St. George, Shane Frazier and Shaundra Sellers, both of Bowman, Sabrina McMillan of Norway, Annette Thomas of Orangeburg, Natasha Williams of Orlando, Fla., and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

Friends may call at the residence of her mother, Mary Mallard, 7521 Charleston Highway, Bowman, and at Glover's Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Elizabeth 'Angel' Marie Williams

Funeral services for Elizabeth "Angel" Marie Williams, 28, were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2007, at Folk Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial was at Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Neeses.

Angel died Sunday, August 19.

She was born in Charleston, the daughter of Nathan and Deborah Carroll Williams.

Survivors include her sisters, Dee Dee Queen and Robin Robinson; her brother, Dwayne Williams; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Carroll and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Zonnell Carroll and paternal grandparents, Ezell and Florrie McCollum Willimas.

Folk Funeral Home of Williston is in charge.

Miss Margie Agieson

Funeral services for Miss Margie Agieson, 54, of 402 Milligan Circle, St. Matthews, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2007, in the Glover's Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Wilbert Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery in Holly Hill.

Miss Agieson died Friday, October 19, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg following an extended illness.

Friends may call at Glover's Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Lucious Shuler Jr.

Lucious Shuler Jr. of 719 Liberty Street, St. Matthews, died Friday, October 26, 2007.

Funeral services will be announced by Holley Funeral Home of St. Matthews.

Russell Lamar Hardy -- Denmark

Memorial services for Russell Lamar Hardy, 92, of Denmark, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at The First Baptist Church of Denmark, with the Rev. Andy Hunter officiating. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in Altavista Cemetery in Gainesville, Ga.

Mr. Hardy died Saturday, March 10, at his residence.

He was born December 17, 1914, in Columbia County, Ga., a son of the late Ira Lamar Hardy and Lula King Hardy. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, Ga., where he was a charter member of the morning prayer group and was a retired salesman.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Zorn Hardy of Denmark; a son, Charles and his wife, Ann Hardy of Atlanta, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Sheryl and her husband, Barry Price of Georgetown; grandson and his wife, Russ and Brooke Hardy, and grandsons, Bryan Hardy, Charles Jones; granddaughter and her husband, Chris and Joe Wujcik; great-grandchildren, Jeffery, Chase and Tori Wujcik, Justin and Zachery Jones; cousins, Elizabeth King and Jeanette Smith.

Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Hardy and a daughter, Rebecca Jones.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Mrs. Lois Kemmerlin Arant -- North Augusta

Mrs. Lois Kemmerlin Arant, wife of Mike Arant Sr., of 684 Hutchinson Drive, North Augusta, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 7, at Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene, Clearwater, with the Revs. Scott Ostendorf and John Faircloth officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville. Pallbearers will be Michael Arant III, Michael Jordan, Kevin Franklin, Perry Allen, Perry Allen Jr., and Ronnie Arant. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Copen Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Arant was born in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late Walter and Maggie Seifert Kemmerlin. She was a member of Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene and its Copen Sunday School class.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Arant Jr. of Evans, Ga. and Curtis Arant of North Augusta; three daughters, Betty Jean Nunamaker, Deborah Franklin, and Diane Ferst, all of North Augusta; one brother, Clyde Kemmerlin of Orangeburg; four sisters, Viviane Dawson and Janie Cullar, both of Orangeburg, Ruth Wardlaw of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Dorothy Arant of North Augusta; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 7 at Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene.

Memorials may be made to the Building Fund, Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene, PO Box 845, Clearwater, SC 29822.

Queenie ‘Bubba’ Felder -- Blackville

Friday, March 02, 2007

Funeral services for Mr. Queenie “Bubba” Felder, 74, of 98 Jones Bridge Road, Blackville, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Blackville, with the Rev. Floyd Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Hope Memorial Park Cemetery, Barnwell.

The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.

Mr. Felder died Monday, Feb. 26.

He was born April 24, 1932, in Orangeburg County to the late Willie and Beatrice Wright Felder. He was the second-oldest child of 14 children born to that union. He was educated at Macedonia School in Blackville. He was employed at E.I. duPont in Aiken until he moved to West Palm Beach, Fla. He resided and worked in West Palm Beach until illness and health problems necessitated his return to Blackville, where he resided until his passing.

He was united in holy matrimony in 1954 to Ida Banks, and to this union two children were born, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include six brothers, Roosevelt of Blackville, Willie Jr. of Blackville, Leroy of Asbury Park, N.J., Paul (Alberta) of Neptune, N.J., Freddie (Mary) of North Augusta and Thaddeus (Debra) of Columbia; five sisters, Annie (Fred) Myers of Brooklyn, N.Y., Geneva Felder of Asbury Park, N.J., Martha Felder of Blackville, Roberta (George) Egerton of Freehold, N.J., and Wilean (Willis) Holley of North Augusta; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the residence and at Green’s Funeral Home of Blackville.
