MOUNT CARMEL — Carmella Wells and Gary Burton were married at 4 p.m. April 12, 2003 at Spring Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. James Louden III officiated.
Wedding music was presented by pianist Travis Jones of Spartanburg and soloist Crystal Bush of Denmark.
The bride is the daughter of the late Gaddy Wells and the late Herbert Letman. She is a 2002 graduate of Piedmont Tech, where she completed the licensed practical nurse program. She is employed by the McCormick Health Care Center as an employee health nurse.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Burton of Abbeville. He is a 1991 graduate of Abbeville High School and is employed as a locomotive engineer by CSX Transportation.
Stephanie Searles of Lincolnton, Ga., and Torritta Wardlaw of Greenwood, the bride’s cousin, were maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Ebonee Brown, the bridegroom’s cousin, Camilla Morton, Kenyatha Letman, the bride’s cousin, and Crystal Pugh.
Ariel Sanders, the bridegroom’s daughter, was miniature bride.
Kennyatta Gilchrist, the bride’s daughter, was flower girl.
Escorted by her brother, Timothy Letman of McCormick, the bride wore a white satin gown featuring silver Schiffli embroidery accented with pearls, silver and iridescent sequins.
The princess bodice was enhanced with sequins, hand-made pearls and lace, trimmed the basque waist that flowed into a full satin skirt embellished with hand-made pearls.
The semi-cathedral train featured windows of illusions enhanced with sequins and pearls.
She wore a tiara accented with diamonds and rhinestones attached to a double-tiered, elbow length veil decorated with pearls.
She carried a bouquet of white silk gardenias.
Attendants wore two piece platinum moire taffeta suits with jewel detailing.
The miniature bride wore a white empire waist satin gown with a beaded bodice and carried a bouquet of Gebera daisies and gardenias, similar to the bride’s bouquet.
The flower girl wore a white satin empire waist gown accented with hand-made pearls and carried a platinum basket of gardenia petals.
Terrell Johnson of Mount Carmel, the bridegroom’s uncle, and Eric Burton of Abbeville, the bridegroom’s brother, were best men.
Channing Johnson, the bridegroom’s godson, was miniature groom.
Groomsmen were Theron Burton, the bridegroom’s brother, Jessie Burton, the bridegroom’s cousin, Demitrius Lee, the bridegroom’s cousin, Porteer Morton, and Herbert Letman, the bride’s brother.
Ushers were Robert Ashe and Kovie Gray.
Kennan Gilchrist, the bride’s son, was ringbearer.
Friends and family of the couple were hosts of a reception at the Calhoun Falls Civic Center.
The couple now live in Greenwood.

CHARLESTON — Dr. Sherry Renee Crowe of Saranac Lake, N.Y. and Todd Michael Keith of Ballston Sps., N.Y., were married March 15, 2003 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Charleston. Dr. William Rogers III of Charleston officiated.
Wedding music was presented by organist Greg Jones of Charleston and soloist Karen Moshos of Charleston.
The bride is the daughter of Sylvia H. Crowe of Ware Shoals and Richard W. Crowe of Hodges. She is a graduate of Ware Shoals High School, Furman University and MUSC of Charleston. She is employed in research by Trudeau Institute in New York.
The bridegroom is the son of Brenda Yauck of Austin, Texas and Fermer Keith of Norman, Okla. He is a graduate of El Reno High School in Oklahoma and Renesslar Poly Technical Institute in Albany, N.Y. He is still in school in Navy-Ensign.
Melissa Fraser of Memphis, Tenn., was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Allawan Stinson of Atlanta and Jan Wortandharm of Charleston.
Claudia Crowe of Lawrenceville, Ga., was flower girl.
The bride wore a white satin and organza gown featuring beaded spaghetti straps. The bodice was covered in embroidered schiffli lace and silver lame threads in a floral design. The lace featured hand sewn pearls and rocaile beads. The bell-shaped skirt was sheath organza over satin and edged in a satin band.
She carried a bouquet of white roses with stephanotis and phalaenopsis orchids tied with white translucent ribbon.
Neal Keith of Oklahoma, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man.
Groomsmen were Jon Engles of Oregon and James Garis of Nebraska.
Ushers were Richard Crowe Jr. of Lawrenceville and Kenneth Crowe of Colorado Springs, Colo., both brothers of the bride.
Wesley Crowe of Lawrenceville was ringbearer.
The families of the couple were hosts of a reception.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple lives in Saranac Lake, N.Y.

TROY — Marissa A. Tijerina and Kenneth R. Warren, both of Taylors, were married at 2 p.m. March 29, 2003 at Troy United Methodist Church. The Rev. George Boyd Jr. of Troy officiated.
Wedding music was presented by organist Emma Latham of Bradley.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Barlow of Edinburg, Texas. She is a graduate of Edinburg High School and is employed by Wal-mart in Taylors.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald E. Warren Sr. of Troy. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and is the assistant manager for Wal-mart in Greer.
Suzie Crowe of Greer was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Cindy Cleath of Eden Prairie, Minn., Cindy Bishop of Spartanburg and Margaret Cooper of Taylors.
Junior bridesmaids were Audrey Tijerina of Taylors, Kayla Warren of Troy and Cheyenne Crowe of Greer.
Kaytlin Crowe of Greer and Jamie M. Tijerina of Taylors were flower girls.
The bride wore a satin ivory gown featuring beaded detailing on the bodice and train.
Ronnie Warren of Greenwood was best man.
Groomsmen were John Williams of Cape Cod, Mass., Willie Boozer of Columbia and David Smith of Spartanburg. Gene Warren of Troy was ringbearer.
The bridegroom’s parents were hosts of a reception.
The couple took a trip to the Poconos and now live in Taylors.

NINETY SIX — Jennifer Nicole Moss and Brian Jamison Alexander, both of Ninety Six, were married at 4 p.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church. Louie Murray of Saluda officiated.
Wedding music was presented by pianist Jennifer Taylor of Ninety Six, and vocalists Karen Traynham of Waterloo and Krista Wilkie of Greenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Marcia M. Scarboro of Ninety Six and David “Red” Moss of Cross Hill. She is the granddaughter of Colleen Moss of Cross Hill and the late William “Bill” Moss and Joyce McFarland of Ninety Six and Marvin C. McFarland. She is a graduate of Ninety Six High School and Piedmont Tech, where she received a degree in industrial electronics engineering. She is employed by JC Penney.
The bridegroom is the son of Linda Zualet of Ninety Six and Loyd Alexander of Greenwood. He is the grandson of Doris DeNardi of Ninety Six and the late Horace Griffin, and the late Cecil Alexander and Lorene Alexander. He is a graduate of Ninety Six High School and is the owner of Carolina Grounds. He is also employed by Cooper Power Systems.
Angie McFarland of Ninety Six was maid of honor.
April B. Allen of Abbeville was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Stephanie Lewis and Lacey McFarland, both of Ninety Six.
Mary Elizabeth Johnson of Ninety Six was flower girl.
The bride wore a one-shoulder, white wedding gown featuring a fitted basque waistline accented with hand-beaded Venice lace. The full ball gown skirt of organza was highlighted with matching beaded lace that trimmed the hem of the semi-cathedral train.
She wore a rhinestone and pearl tiara attached to a veil of Venice lace.
She carried a bouquet of white roses, baby’s breath and ivy.
Kenny Griffin of Clayton, Ga., was best man.
Groomsmen were James Alexander of Commerce, Ga., Greg McFarland and Matt Scarboro, both of Ninety Six. Tillman G. Allen of Abbeville was ringbearer.
Lamp/candle lighters were the couple’s mothers.
Lee Alexander of Ninety Six and Kevin Allen of Abbeville were carpet rollers.
The couple were hosts of a reception.
After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Ninety Six.

HODGES — Amy Rebecca Love and Matthew William Johnson, both of Greenwood, were married at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cokesbury College in Hodges. The Rev. Robert Miller of Greenwood officiated.
Wedding music was presented by harpist Vonda Darr of Evans, Ga.
The bride is the daughter of Andrew and Rebecca Love of Greenwood. She is a graduate of Ninety Six High School and Lander University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in visual arts. She is attending Lander, where she is pursuing a master’s degree.
The bridegroom is the son of William and Dale Johnson of Greenwood. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Piedmont Tech. He is employed by Fuji Photo Film Inc.
Anita Love of Greenwood, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor and Andrew J.Love, brother of the bride was master of honor.
Kelli Scott of Greenwood, the bridegroom’s sister, was bridesmaid.
The bride wore a tulle ball gown, featuring a fitted bodice enhanced with seed pearls, glass beads and sequins.
She carried a bouquet of hand-tied pink tulips.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Robert Johnson of Smithfield, Va., the bridegroom’s cousin, was groomsman.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception in Greenwood.
The couple took a wedding cruise to the western Caribbean.

ANDERSON — Jennifer Leigh Timmerman and Douglas Wyatt Lawson, both of Anderson, were married at 6 p.m. Saturday at Whitefield Baptist Church in Anderson. The Rev. Clarence Howard of Anderson officiated.
Wedding music was presented by pianist Susan Collins of Belton, and soloists Dee Christopher of Lugoff and Lea Jameson of Blackville.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Alton Outzs of Ninety Six and Mr. and Mrs. Ransom Carroll Timmerman of Aiken. She is a 1995 graduate of Ninety Six High School and a 1999 graduate of Greenville Technical College, where she received an associate degree in nursing. She is employed by the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Larry Lawson of Abbeville. He is a 1996 graduate of Abbeville High School and a 2000 graduate of Clemson University, where he received a degree in bio systems engineering. He is employed by Design South in Anderson.
Julie T. Christopher of Lugoff, the bride’s sister, and Julie M. Kellett of Columbia were matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were April Timmerman of Ninety Six, the bride’s sister-in-law, Trisha Timmerman of Greenwood, the bride’s sister, Alisha Voorhes of Burlington, N.C., the bride’s sister, Wende Rochester of Walhalla, the bridegroom’s sister, Bonnie Calvert and Mary Beth Rochelle, both of Greenwood, Janice Thornton of Travelers Rest and Sheryl Holloway of Anderson.
Hannah Kate Christopher of Lugoff, the bride’s niece, was miniature bride.
Meredith Christopher of Lugoff and Abby Timmerman of Ninety Six, the bride’s nieces, were flower girls.
The bride wore a strapless, European satin ivory gown featuring a full A-line skirt. The bodice was accented with rows of silver embroidered flowers and small bugle and seed beads. The pattern was repeated on two bands of the skirt’s hem. Buttons accented the back of the gown which flowed into a semi-cathedral length train.
She carried a bouquet of lilies, calla lilies, hydrangeas, and draping lily buds in cream, featuring a hint of lilac and an ivory ribbon.
Attendants wore sleeveless, Victorian lilac, mock two-piece, floor length gowns featuring scooped necks. They carried bouquets of cream and lilac hydrangeas.
The bridegroom’s father was best man.
Groomsmen were Carter Lawson and Josh Lawson, both of Abbeville, and both brothers of the bridegroom, Tee Timmerman of Ninety Six, the bride’s brother, Richie Wheeler and Steve Baird, both of Atlanta, Glen Rice of Clemson, Brandon Wilson, John Biggerstaff and Daniel Crawford, all of Abbeville.
Jacob Calvert of Greenwood was ringbearer.
Nathan Thornton and Daniel Thornton, both of Travelers Rest, were carpet rollers.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Outzs of Ninety Six were hosts of a reception.
After a wedding trip to the Caribbean, the couple will live in Anderson.

Wedding music was presented by trumpeter Jimmy Carr of Greenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Tina P. Blackmon of Greenwood and Jackie A. Blackmon of Monks Corner. She is a graduate of Ninety Six High School and is attending Piedmont Tech. She is employed by McDonald Patrick Tinsley Baggett & Poston LLP.
The bridegroom is the son of Cindy B. Stockman of Ninety Six and J. Michael Isbell of Ninety Six. He is a graduate of Ninety Six High School and is employed by Eaton Hydraulics.
Laurie L. Chafin of Ninety Six was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Leigh B. Calhoun, Brandi B. Gilbert and Courtney L. Harris, all of Greenwood, and Haven E. Paysinger of Laurens.
Honorary bridesmaids were Heather Boyter, Andrea L. Newell and Candice B. Smith.

Flower girls were Paten Calhoun, Kennedy Gilbert and Taylor Gilbert, all of Greenwood.
The bride wore a white wedding gown featuring an off-the-shoulder, scoop neckline encrusted with pearls and crystal beads. The A-line dress featured a basque waist and organza skirt decorated with embroidery and satin banding at the hem, which cascaded into a chapel length train.
She wore a round tiara of rhinestones attached to an elbow length, double-tiered veil edged in white satin. She carried an exposed-stem cluster bouquet of white calla lilies, daylilies and roses, accented with spider mums, lilac and German statice in lavender with a white satin ribbon edged in pearls.
D. Wayne Isbell of Ninety Six was best man.
Groomsmen were Steven E. Isbell, Jody L. Patterson and Christopher L. Cockrell, all of Greenwood, and Leonard P. Horne of Greenville.
P. Gage Poss of Greenwood was miniature groom.
Chandler Patterson of Ninety Six was ringbearer.
A reception was given by the bride’s family at Stoney Point Clubhouse.
After a wedding trip to the Cayman Islands, the couple will live in Ninety Six.

Wedding music was presented by pianist Cynthia Adams and trumpeter John Cooper, both of Greenwood, and vocalists Shannon Adams of Ninety Six and Patti Riley of Greenwood.
The bride is the daughter of Charlene Bailey of Ninety Six and Tony Kennemore of Georgia. She is a 1994 graduate of Ninety Six High School and attended Piedmont Tech. She is employed by Charlie B’s.
The bridegroom is the son of Nancy Free of Greenwood and Allen Fortner of Ninety Six. He is a 1990 graduate of Ninety Six High School and a 1993 graduate of Piedmont Tech. He is employed by Fortner Motor Company.

The bride wore a white wedding gown featuring an empire waist. The bodice was accented with pearls and beaded Schiffli lace and featured beaded spaghetti straps. The chiffon overlay A-line skirt was enhanced with schiffli lace embroidery at the hem and cascaded into a chapel length train.
Allen Fortner of Ninety Six was best man.
Groomsmen were Brad Alford, Shannon Adams, Chad Corley, and Shane Wood, all of Ninety Six, and Mackie McKinney of Greenwood.
Evin Calliham of Ninety Six was ringbearer.
The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception.
After a surprise wedding trip, the couple will live in Ninety Six.
