Bettie Muse Davis

Bettie Muse Davis, 92, of Williamsburg, formerly of Jellico died Nov. 3, 2010.

Preceded in death by husband, Charles Edward Davis.

Bettie is survived by son, Charles Donnie Davis of Oak Ridge.

Funeral services were held Nov. 5 in the chapel of Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Muse officiating. Interment icon was in the Valley View cemetery.

Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Golda Jones

Golda Jones, 76 of the Bethlehem Community, LaFollette died Nov. 9, 2010.

Preceded in death by wife, Neoma Goins Jones; sons, Tommy and Billy; parents, Oscar and Ethel Ausmus Jones.

Golda is survived by sons, Earl Jones of Maynardville and Audra Jones.

Funeral services were held Nov. 10 in the Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Braden officiating. Interment icon was in the Emmitt and Nora Goins Family cemetery.

Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Thomas Eric Owens

Thomas Eric Owens, 26, of Duff died Nov. 21, 2010.

Thomas is survived by father, Thomas Henry Owens; mother, Pauline Marlow Owens; sons, Jacob Thomas Owens and Travis Cody Owens; mother of his children, Misty Dawn Carr.

Funeral services were held Nov. 24 at the Morley Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Martin officiating. Interment icon was in the Owens Family cemetery.

Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Murrel Thomas Albright

Murrel Thomas Albright, 59, of Andersonville died Feb. 13, 2011.

Preceded in death by parents, Charles Edward and Johnnie Queener Albright.

Murrel is survived by wife, Marsha Albright of Andersonville; children, Pam Hensley of Sevierville, Veronica Hardin of Sevierville.

An outdoor Memorial Service will be planned for the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the: Murrel Albright Memorial Baseball Scholarship, C/O Anderson County High School, 130 Maverick Circle, Clinton, TN 37716.

Troy Jackson Sr.

Troy Jackson Sr., 74 of Lakeland, Fl died Feb. 11, 2011.

Preceded in death by wife, Connie Helen Jackson; daughter, Patricia Lynn Broadwell.

Troy is survived by sons, Johnny Lewis “J.J.” Jackson of Lakeland, Fla, Troy Jackson Jr., of Myrtle Beach, SC, Timothy Gregory Jackson of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters, Robin Lynn Trammell of New Tazewell, Bertha Luann Beasley of Lakeland, Fla.

Funeral services were held Feb. 13 in the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Jackson officiating. Interment icon was in the Douglas cemetery.

Anna Lou Goins Vandergriff

Anna Lou Goins Vandergriff, 82 of Oak Ridge, formerly of Jacksboro died Feb. 14, 2011 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by husband of 57 years, Howard L. Vandergriff, Sr.; mother, Margaret (Maggie) Goins; father, Rev. Ernest Goins; brothers, Ernest Goins, Jr., Charles (Sam) Goins.

Anna is survived by daughter, Beverly Abele of Oak Ridge; son and wife, Howard (Buck) Vandergriff, Jr. and Barbara of Jacksboro; son, Paul Vandergriff of Oak Ridge; grandson and wife, Brandon and Misty Abele of Maryville; sister, Willene Dabney of LaFollette; brother and wife, Henry and wife, June Goins of Speedwell; sister in law, Chris Goins of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Feb. 18 at the Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Dabney officiating. Interment icon was in the Campbell Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Linus of East Tennessee, Deb Miller, Chapter Coordinator, 282 Orchard Valley Drive, Harriman, TN 37748.

Anthony P. Zecchini

Anthony P. Zecchini, 88, passed away Feb. 15, 2011 in Oak Ridge. He was born March 8, 1922 in the Whistle Creek area of Newcomb. Anthony was a proud veteran of World War II, serving with the US Navy on Guam. After the war he worked in Dayton, Oh until his retirement in 1987.

Preceded in death by his wife, Helen Benge Zecchini who passed away in 1997.

Survived by daughter, Sandra Zecchini and son, David Zecchini.

A private graveside service was held Feb. 21 at the St. Boniface Catholic cemetery in Jellico.

Cremation Options, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Clay Stephen Teague

Clay Stephen Teague, 67 of LaFollette, TN passed away at home surrounded by family on Feb. 19, 2011. He was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Clay played football and graduated from Jellico High School in 1961. He was an Army veteran, serving in Korea during the  Vietnam War. For five years, he was a member of the Brookeville Fire and Rescue Squad in Ohio. Clay was a 32nd degree mason and had just received his 40 year pin of honor. He worked in the coal business for 29 years and was a supporter of the coal industry. He was a big sports fan and loved watching football and baseball. Clay was a great storyteller and enjoyed telling and pulling jokes on friends. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, grilling and visiting on the front porch with friends and family.

Preceded in death by father: Raymond Teague

Clay is survived by his mother, Geneva Teague Brookville, Oh; his loving wife, Linda Teague of LaFollette; daughters and sons-in-laws, Brenda and Jeff Chapman of Greer, S C, Melissa and Rob DeLeeuw of Strawberry Plains and Anita and Carter Ruff of Bath, Me; grandchildren, Dustin Sutton and Zoe and Calla Ruff; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and George Doat of Philipsburg, Ohio; brothers and sister-in-law, Wayne and Sandy Teague of Memphis and Gary and Lori Teague of Anchorage, Ala and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many good friends.

Masonic and funeral services were held Feb. 22 with Rev. Arlie Muse and Rev. Junior Dople officiating. Interment icon was in the Woodlawn cemetery with the Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of graveside services.

Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

David Lynn Stittums

David Lynn Stittums, 51, of LaFollette passed away Feb. 16, 2011 at St. Mary’s Campbell County. Member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by parents, Howard and Etaline Stittums; brother, Darrell Stittums

David is survived by daughter, Darla and husband Chad Nelson of LaFollette; son, Derrick Stittums of LaFollette; grandchildren, Hannah Stittums, Justin, Johnathon, Jalah and Keegan Nelson; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Feb. 19 in the Cross-Smith Chapel with Rev. David Goins and J.W. Kosher officiating. Interment icon will be in the Powell Valley cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's at www.stjude.org/or 1-800-822-6344.

Dorothy Leigh (Dot) Walden

Dorothy Leigh (Dot) Walden, 47, of LaFollette died Feb. 14, 2011 at St. Mary’s Campbell County.

Dorothy is survived by husband, Greg (Dewey) Walden; daughters, Amy Miracle, Barbara Miller, Donna Simmons; son, Dennis Jones, Jr.; mother, Dorothy Chapman.

Graveside services and interment icon were held Feb. 18 in the Flat Hollow cemetery with Rev. Doug Walden officiating.

Cross-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Kelly Christine McNealy

Kelly Christine McNealy, 31, of Williamsburg, Ky died Feb. 16, 2011.

Kelly is survived by parents, James W. and Sandra McNealy of Williamsburg, Ky.

Funeral services were held Feb. 19 in the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Walker officiating. Interment icon was in the Douglas cemetery.
