Johnnie A. Krafft, age 88, lifetime resident of San Antonio, Texas and recently a resident of Morningside Manor, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2003.
Survived by son, John A. Krafft, Jr. and wife, Jane; grandson, Carlton D. Krafft and wife, Jo Ann; all of San Antonio, TX.
Johnnie retired from Frost National Bank in 1979 after 37 years of service.
He was a member of the Mission Art Group and Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

Rev. Royce Edward Makin

The Reverend Royce Makin, age 72, of San Antonio, Texas died on Friday, July 04, 2003.
Royce was a devoted and compassionate minister, strong civic leader, loving husband, father, and grandpa.
Survived by beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Neta Makin; daughters, Valarie Bernhardt and husband, Bernie, Sheri Lynde and husband, Casey, Lisa Makin; granddaughters, Amy Lynde, Michelle Lynde, Kelsey Lynde; sister, Ernestine Easterling; step-brother, Jim Wright.

William Edward DeLaVergne, Sr.
Born in West Palm Beach, Florida on Mar. 19, 1933
Died Jul. 2, 2003 and resided in Kerrville, TX.

William Edward DeLaVergne, Sr., was called home to be with our Lord on July 2, 2003. He died peacefully at his home in Kerrville. Bill was born March 19, 1933, in West Palm Beach, Florida to William E. and Naoma Willson DeLaVergne.
Bill’s was a life of service. He served as an altar boy in New Orleans and at Espada Mission in San Antonio. He later served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1953, including a tour of duty in Korea during the Korean War. From 1957 to 1978, he proudly served the citizens of San Antonio on the San Antonio Police Department, both as a uniformed Patrolman and later as a Detective Investigator assigned to the Forgery Detail. He dearly loved the Police Department and his “brothers in blue” and always strived to bring honor to the uniform. Following his retirement from the SAPD in 1978, he was a part-time private criminal investigator and a full-time househusband.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Dayna Foster DeLaVergne of Kerrville; son, William E. DeLaVergne, Jr. of San Antonio; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Gus Gutierrez of San Antonio; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Joseph Fey of Comfort; daughter, Melissa DeLaVergne of Houston; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Hatch of Castroville and Louise Chambliss of Cibolo; and numerous nieces and nephews. They all celebrate his life and will cherish his memory in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Laity Lodge, P.O. Box 290670, Kerrville, Texas 78029 or to the San Antonio Police Officer’s Benevolent Fund, 1939 N.E. Loop 410, #230, San Antonio, TX 78217.

Elsie Louise Zogheib

Elsie Louise Zogheib, age 88 of San Antonio, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Alexander H. Zogheib Jr in 1987.
Survived by her sons, Alex H. Zogheib and wife, Sherry, Waring, TX, John D. Zogheib; niece, Lisa Ann Zogheib, all of Houston, TX; sister, Mabel Matthews, Scottsdale, AZ.

Irene G. Pena passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at the age of 88.
Irene and her husband ran several restaurant businesses for 50 years. She was a great hostess and loved to crochet.
She will be greatly missed and we all loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio M. Pena, sisters, Dora M. Romo and Eva Garza.
She is survived by her daughters, Dora M. Guenther, Yvonne S. Jimenez and her husband Robert, and Julienne Geigenmiller; sons, Steve H. Sanchez III an his wife, Olivia, Edward L. Sanchez and his wife, Genevieve, all of San Antonio, TX; granddaughter, Dionne Broom and husband, David, San Diego, CA; 26 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; brothers, Roland P. Garza, Paul R. Garza and his wife, Helen; sisters, Ernestine Moore and Sylvia Rodriguez, Houston, TX.

Patricia (Trish) Jenkins passed away on July 1, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on January 31, 1951 in San Antonio, TX.
Trish was heavily involved in many activities which included Hallmark's Tree Trimmer's Club, exercising, and her favorite pastime which was to spend time at the Texas coast.
Trish is survived by many loved ones including: her loving husband of 32 years, John Jenkins; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette and Charles Slaughter; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Amy Jenkins; grandchildren, Taylor and Ainsley Slaughter, and James and Kristal Jenkins; mother, Silvalee Bomer; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Ellen Bomer; numerous aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and a special Aunt, Ginger White. She is also survived by many special friends.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Richard E. Trappe, Lewis B. White; brother, Cecil Mark Richardson.
Survivors are niece, Cheryl D. Mitchell of Adkins, TX; great niece, Traci D. Mitchell of San Antonio, TX; great nephew, Mark D. Mitchell of La Vernia, TX; step daughter, Vicki Novak of San Antonio, TX, Martha Michael and husband, Vijay of Collyville, TX, Tammy Louria and husband, Bill of Waxahachie, TX; step son, Robert L.
