Otto E. Phillip, Jr., age 87 of San Antonio, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2005.
Otto and his wife Ruth were parishioners of St. Mary Magdalen before they became founding parishioners of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
He volunteered in many activities including ushering in church and coaching in the CYO. In addition to coaching, he was instrumental in the construction of baseball fields at St. Mary Magdalen, St. Gregory and Holy Spirit. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary Magdalen.
“Uncle Otto” was a loyal and dedicated employee of over 40 years at Motor Truck Sales and San Antonio Truck Sales until his retirement in 1982. Otto was preceded in death by his sisters, Laurine and Leona and his brother, Leroy as well as his brother-in-law, Alvin and nephew, Al, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Helen Ruth Phillip of San Antonio; children, Herb Phillip of San Antonio, Donna Fisher and husband Doug of Bedford, TX, Doug Phillip and wife Colette of Dripping Springs, TX and Marilyn Doss and husband Scott of Bedford, TX; grandchildren, Kirk Phillip, Kevin Fisher and wife Jody, Kristin Lawler and husband Chris, Kimberly Fisher, Erin Sheppard-Phillip, Molly Phillip, Patrick Phillip, Corey Doss and Shannon Doss; great grandchildren, Austin and Jillian Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Irving Sanders
Born in Chicago, IL on Sep. 19, 1921
Died Sep. 3, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Irving Sanders, age 83, of Golden Manor in San Antonio, died Saturday, September 3, 2005.
He retired from civil service as a Medical Illustrator after 35 years of service.
Mr. Sanders had a lifelong dedication to art and was an avid square dancer later in life.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ruth Harris Sanders; his father, Yehuda Sanders; his mother, Rivka Sanders; and his brother, Louis Sanders.
Irving is survived by his son, Dr. Ronald Sanders and his wife, Dr. Janice A. VanNiel of Kenosha, WI; his son, Brian Sanders and his wife, Devorah Tversky-Sanders of San Antonio; his grandson, Michael Sanders of Philadelphia, PA; his brother, Bernard Sanders; his sisters, Marion Levine and Barbara Wilson all of CA; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Golden Manor for providing 2½ years of superior care.

Joy E. Fugate
Born in Stockman, Texas on Mar. 8, 1915
Died Aug. 29, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Joy went home to the Lord August 29, 2005 at age 90. She died peacefully in her sleep of natural causes.
Joy E. Lowrance was born in Stockman, Texas on March 8, 1915 to parents George Washington Lowrance and wife Jenny Oxsheer Lowrance.
Joy was a graduate of Steven F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas, and received her Masters Degree of Education from the University of Michigan. Joy taught students in Michigan at the Walled Lake Consolidated School System, retiring from Glengary Elementary in 1977.
Joy valued her friends and neighbors with a humorous attitude endearing her to those close to her. Joy was very much a Joy!
The family would like to acknowledge Pipestone Place Assisted Living for giving Joy love, care and comfort the last years of her life.
Joy is survived by her sons (and their wives) George Wright (P.J.), Harold Wright (Diane), Charley Wright (Teresa). Grandchildren Brittany Wright, Austin Wright, Johanna Wright and Jimmy Wright, brother Robert Lowrance of Hawkins and sisters, Iva Lowrance formerly of Timpson, Grace Pickens of Pleasanton and Sophia Hancock of Lufkin.
Joy was preceded in death by her first husband James Wright, second husband Harold Fugate; brothers Thomas Lowrance and Ox Lowrance; sisters May Lowrance, Ann Lowrance, and Lou Engle.
Services will be held 10:00 AM September 10, 2005 at the Greenwood cemetery in Garrison, Texas.
Mom wanted her many friends and pupils to know how much their friendship meant to her. Joy requested that you make donations to your favorite charities in lieu of flowers if you so choose.

Adalberto Julian Ramirez

In loving memory of our beloved father and grandfather Adalberto Julian Ramirez, born on January 9, 1932 in Agua Nueva, TX.
He went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2005. He was a kind and generous man who loved life and loved his family.
He served his country in the Army from 1952 to 1954 and retired from Kelly Air Force Base after 27 years of Civil Service. The joys of his life were his grandchildren who will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Amando, his father, Santos and his mother, Arabela.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elida; his four sons, Amando and wife, Tammy of Spring, TX, Arnulfo and wife, Terry of San Antonio, TX, Anival and wife, Leisa of North Richard Hills, TX, Alfredo and wife, Brenda of Round Rock, TX; brothers, Armando and Arnoldo, and his nine grandchildren, Brandy, Andres, Adria, Alyssa, Alex, Addison, Lexi, Adam and Drew; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hurricane Katrina relief organization of your choice.

Pearl D. Kramer
Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 16, 2005
Died Aug. 31, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

On August 31, 2005, the precious love story continued in heaven as Pearl D. Kramer joined her husband, Harry C. Kramer, who died July 21st of this year.
As her name suggests, Pearl was a precious gem to her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, Diane Quinn and her husband Denny; daughter Linda Oliva and her husband Matt; son, Dennis Kramer and his wife Susan. Pearl was also blessed with 8 grandchildren: Tracy Regner and husband Steve, Matthew Oliva, Michael Oliva, Stephanie El-Katsha and husband Peter, Blake Oliva, Hannah Kramer, Samuel Kramer, and Joel Kramer. Pearl was further blessed with 3 great-grandchildren: Daniel Regner, Joshua Regner, and Chloe El-Katsha. Pearl is also survived by her beloved niece, Janet Stevens, an angel on earth who cared for her during her last days, and her husband, Stan Stevens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to VITAS Hospice, 5430 Fredericksburg, Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78229.

Joline Robinson

Joline (Jingles) Street Robinson, of San Antonio, died Thursday, September 1, 2005.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. She graduated from St. Mary’s Hall, attended Sweet Briar College and The University of Texas at Austin. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, member of the Junior League of San Antonio and the San Antonio Country Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents Park and Joline Street. Survivors: husband, Jim Robinson; son, James P. Robinson III; daughter, Joline (Jingle) Robinson, all of San Antonio, TX; brother, Park Street III; niece, Elista Street, both of Austin, TX.

Eugene Carroll L'Esperance

Eugene will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Nancy C. Fulcher

Nancy C. Butler Fulcher, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2005. She was born in San Antonio on October 19, 1911, the oldest child of Clifford and Willie Printz.
She attended Brackenridge High School and later worked at Kelly AFB.
In 1958 she married Stanley Fulcher and they moved to Big Bend National Park. They worked for the Park Service until their retirement in 1972.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, Clifford Printz.
She is survived by two sons from her first marriage to Raymond “Kitty” Butler, Raymond Butler and wife, Lois and Robert Butler and wife, Jane; eight grandchildren Sharon Fernandez, Gerald Butler, Donna Butler, Diana Butler, Robert Butler, Jr., Nancy Nygard, Tom Butler and Mary Grace Polan; nine great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Meeks; brother, Ray Printz; sister-in-law, Yvette Printz; and several nieces and nephews.

Anne Stewart Bush Tepichin
Born in Danville, VA on Sep. 10, 1944
Died Aug. 30, 2005 and resided in San Antonio, TX.

Anne Stewart Bush Tepichin was born September 10, 1944 in Danville, Virginia.
After a stoic fight with incurable cancer, an example of courage and strength to her husband, children and loved ones, she finally passed away as she lived, with grace and in peace on August 30, 2005.
She was predeceased by her father the Rev. Edward Bush. She is survived by her mother Anne Bush Leyden; husband Gonzalo Tepichin; sons, Phillip Tepichin, Benjamin Tepichin and his wife Casey, Stewart Tepichin and his fiancé Yvette Gutierrez, and Christopher Tepichin and Kristy Fruin; brother Philip Bush; sisters Bette Boyd, Sara Burns and Julia Lindow; grandchildren Mariah, Anyssa, Leah and Kade; as well as numerous other loving family members in Texas and Mexico City.
Mrs. Tepichin moved to San Antonio in 1960. She graduated from Alamo Heights High School, Stratford Junior College in Danville, Virginia, and Texas Tech University. She taught in SAISD until her marriage in Mexico City in 1970. She taught in Montessori and elementary schools in San Miguel de Allende and Mexico City. She received her Masters degree with Certification in Bilingual Education from UTSA. For 20 years she worked in the NEISD and was a founder of the Bilingual Education Program at Walzem Elementary School. She was one of the first Family Specialists, a liaison between schools and families of children at high risk, at Serna, Oak Grove and Colonial Hills Elementary Schools, ending her career at Colonial Hills Elementary School. She helped set the standard for excellence in this program to support families in achieving success. Anne is also survived by the hundreds of families her work so greatly impacted.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Anne Stewart Tepichin Angel Fund, Colonial Hills Elementary, 2627 Kerrybrook Ct., San Antonio, TX 78230 to benefit families in crisis and children at high risk.
