A native and longtime resident of Port Arthur, he was a Market Basket produce manager.
Survivors include his wife, Teri Vigil of Port Arthur; mother, Olga Vigil of Buna; stepdaughter, Dana Cavnar of Port Arthur; son, Josh Vigil of Groves; stepson, Daniel Cavnar of Virginia; sisters, Yolanda Seaman of Buna and Cindy Hartford of Fannett; and brother, Ruben Vigil of Fannett.

Hershel D. Washington Sr., 79, of Randolph, Miss., died Aug. 29, 2000 in Pontotoc, Miss.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Tupelo, Miss., with burial at Carey Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Randolph, Miss., he lived in Buna before moving back to Randolph 18 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Washington of Randolph; daughters, Dorothy Kellogg and Rhonda Nichols, both of Merryville, La., Pat Wood and Rena Griffing, both of Jasper, Julie DuBose of Buna and Wilma Harvill of Randolph; sons, Hershel D. "Chip’’ Washington Jr. of Mauriceville and Hubert Robertson of Houlka, Miss.; sisters, Curell Galloway of Pontotoc, and Aubrey Bennett and Katherine Wilkinson, both of Buna; 32 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

Roberta Barlow, 94, of Woodville died Aug. 27, 2000 at Woodville Convalescent Center.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Moss Hill Baptist Church in Woodville with burial at Moss Hill Community Cemetery under the direction of Coleman’s Tyler County Funeral Home in Woodville. Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was a lifelong resident of Tyler County.
Survivors include daughters, Estelle Alexander and Mary Ogletree, both of Houston; stepdaughters, Ola Barlow of Houston and Lula Mae Gilder of Woodville; sons, Lester Barlow of Warren, Fred Barlow and Joe Lee Barlow, both of Woodville, and Lee Barlow of Doucette; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Marion Alfred Behymer, 61, of Silsbee died Aug. 21, 2000 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.
A memorial service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Beaumont under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
A native of Cooperstown, Ill., he lived in Silsbee nine years and was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Vietname War.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Behymer of Scottville, Ill.; daughter, Diane Behymer of Jerseyville, Ill.; son, Marion Behymer of Scottville; sisters, Evelyn Rohn, Judy Nickles and Mary Jo McElroy, all of Silsbee; and brothers, Charles Behymer of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Roy Wayne Behymer of Bloomington, Ill.

Bobbie Ray Campise, 53, of Vidor died Aug. 28, 2000 at her residence.

A native of Beaumont, she lived in Vidor 25 years and was a Vidor Independent School District substitute teacher.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Campise Sr. of Vidor; son, Frank Campise Jr. of Vidor; daughter, Michelle Harris of Vidor; sisters, Delores Gray, Joyce Layfield, Pat Horn, Peggy Savoy and Linda McDowell, all of Vidor, and Sharon Peden and Mary Rutledge, both of Longview; and four grandchildren.

Leon Evans, 68, of Anahuac died Aug. 29, 2000 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Hankamer with burial at Anahuac Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
A longtime resident of the Anahuac area, he was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran.

Annie Lee Fletcher, 103, of Beaumont died Aug. 29, 2000 at The Clairmont.

A native of Carthage, Tenn., she lived in Beaumont many years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include daughters, Betty Roberts of Woodville and Ernestine Fisher of Beaumont; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Robert A. Follette, 84, of Beaumont died Aug. 27, 2000 at Houston Northwest Medical Center in Houston.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. today at Trinity United Methodist Church Chapel. Arrangements were handled by Garden Oaks Funeral Home in Houston.
A native of Duluth, Minn., he lived in Beaumont many years and was a retired Texas U.S. Chemical operator in Port Neches and a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.
Survivors include sons, Frank Follette and Nicholas Follette, both of Port Arthur; daughters, Billie Key of Houston and Donna Kline of Missouri City; sister, Marian Leichty of Tacoma, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Lessiter Hammond, 91, of Rayburn Country died Aug. 28, 2000 at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lake Rayburn United Methodist Church under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
A native and former longtime resident of Clarkston, Mich., he lived in Rayburn County 18 years and was retired from General Motors.
Survivors include his wife, Polly Hammond of Rayburn Country; daughters, Debra Burrors of Phoenix and Lynn Campbell of St. Louis, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Robert Hampton, 82, of Kountze died Aug. 27, 2000 at Kountze Nursing Home.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at GreenPine Baptist Church in Kountze with burial at Trinity Valley District Cemetery under the direction of Coleman’s Tyler County Funeral Home in Woodville. Visitation will be from noon Thursday to time of service at the church.
A native of Gilbert, La., he lived in Beaumont before moving back to Kountze five years ago and was retired from Olin Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Vernora Brown Hampton of Kountze; sisters, Frances Williams and Kansas Hampton, both of Monroe, La.; and brother, Ed Hampton of Monroe.

Edward A. Harrison, 74, of Nederland died Aug. 29, 2000 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland with a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Midway Cemetery in Polk County. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
A native of Tyler County, he lived in the Nederland and Port Arthur areas many years and was a retired Gulf Oil Corp. gas and heavy chemical department supervisor. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Harrison of Nederland; sons, Glenn Harrison of Nederland and Dirk Harrison of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; brothers, Lewis Harrison of Houston, Brown Harrison of Nederland and Clark Harrison of Woodville; and two grandchildren.

Shawn Curtis Kopecky, 25, of Dayton died Aug. 29, 2000 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Houston.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dayton under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. A wake service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
A native of Baytown and a former resident of California, Japan and Baltimore, he lived in Dayton several years and was a U.S. Air Force cryptologic linguist.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Linda Kopecky of Dayton; brother, George Kopecky of Humble; sister, Elizabeth Vicars of Dayton; and grandmother, Elizabeth Kopecky of Weslaco.

Marie Sidonie Fay Leblanc, 97, of Lafayette, La., died Aug. 28, 2000 at Lafayette General Hospital.

A native of Jeanerette, La., and a former resident of Beaumont, she lived in Lafayette many years and was a former teacher.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis L. Caffery of Lafayette; son, Oliver H. Leblanc of Schenectady, N.Y.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
