Lincoln Bass, 72, of DeRidder, La., died Sept. 6, 2000 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Cravens, La., with burial at Gravel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be today until time of service at the church.
A native of Cravens, he lived in Cravens before moving to DeRidder 13 years ago, was a retired Calcasieu Paper Company machine supervisor and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mickie Bass of DeRidder; sons, Lance Bass of Cravens, S.M. Willis Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M., Donnie Willis of Caldwell, Ronnie Willis of Lafayette, La., and Mackey Willis of DeRidder; daughters, Karen Elliott of Shawnee, Okla., Bonnie Smith of DeRidder, Sharon Cryer of Otis, La., Patty Midkiff and Cindy Teasley, both of Leesville, LeeAnn Richmond of Burkeville and Cheryl Fletcher of Converse, La.; brothers, Coy J. Bass of Cravens, Zealie Johnson of Austin and D.C. Willis of Dry Creek, La.; sisters, Tressie Lea Pelt of Cravens and Marie Monroe of Glenmora, La.; 32 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
OLIVER ‘TOOTER’ BRYAN
Oliver "Tooter’’ Bryan, 50, of Lufkin died Sept. 5, 2000 at his residence.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Trinity Baptist Church in Broaddus with burial at Broaddus Cemetery under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine.
A native of Nacogdoches, he lived in Lufkin several years and was a pipeline construction worker.
Survivors include daughters, Mary Louise Bryan and Vicki Lynn Bryan, both of Lufkin; sisters, Gloria Kyle Purvis of Lufkin, and Margie Bryan Jones and Jeannie Williams, both of Broaddus; and stepmother, Helen Bryan of Broaddus.
ROSE BRYAN
Rose Bryan, 72, of San Augustine County died Sept. 5, 2000 in Hemphill.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Yellow Ridge Baptist Church in San Augustine County with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine.
A native of Nacogdoches, she lived in San Augustine County many years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include daughters, Tina Crowson and Teresa Bryan, both of Broaddus; son, Joe Pena of Tatum; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
ERNESTINE L. CAIN
Ernestine L. Cain, 81, of Cleveland died Sept. 5, 2000 at her residence.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Cleveland Memorial Park under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A lifelong resident of Cleveland, she was founder of Stancil Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband, Rudolph Cain of Cleveland; sons, Sam B. Love Jr. of Conroe and Ernest S. Love of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.
CARLENA JANES CLEMENT
Carlena Janes Clement, 78, of Lafayette, La., died Sept. 6, 2000.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette with burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. Friday with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., also from 8 a .m. Saturday to time of service at the funeral home.
A native of Woodville, she lived in Lafayette many years and was retired co-owner and operator of Clement Harley Davidson and Honda.
Survivors include her son, Jesse D. Clement Jr. of Cheyenne, Wyo.; daughters, Carolyn Ann Hernandez of Duson, La., and Donna Fontenot of Lafayette; sister, Margie Peace of Liberty; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Dave Cox, 52, of Beaumont died Sept. 2, 2000 in Beaumont.

A native of Iowa, he lived in Beaumont 20 years and was an electrical lineman.

A native of Fort Worth and a former resident of Dallas, he lived in Hemphill 15 years and was retired from Western Electric and AT&T in management.

A native of Austin and a former resident of Beaumont, he lived in Lockhart several years, was a retired ironworker and a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.

A lifelong resident of Merryville, she was a retired Merryville General Hospital nurses aide.

A native of Delhi, N.Y., he lived in Beaumont 20 years, was an Olin Chemical operator and was a Vietname War U.S. Army veteran.
