FERRIS — Services for Diamantina C. Perez, 69, were 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at Green Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Mashburn officiating.

Born Oct. 28, 1935 in San Diego, Texas to Louis Canales and Manuelia Garza, she died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas.

She was a lifetime resident of Ferris. She was a housewife and homemaker.

Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband, John E. Perez of Ferris; nine sons, Tony Garza, Augustine Garza, Richard Perez and Paul Perez, all of Ferris, and Nick Perez, Benny Perez, Steve Perez, Johnny Perez, all of Dallas, and Gilbert Perez of Fort Hern, Mich.; seven daughters, Frances Garza, Carmen Rodriguez and Rachel Garcia, all of Ferris, and Louisa Vallasnor and Gloria Martinez, both of Dallas, Connie Sanchez of Irving, and Rosie Gomez of Hope Well, Va.; three sisters, Elvira Narvaez and Pilar Codena and Bernadina Canales, all of Arlington; 62 grand children; 79 great grand children; two great-great grand children; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Max Perez, Jo Joe Rodriguez, Johnny Garza, Adam Perez, Kevin Perez and Manuel Garcia.

Burial was in Ferris Memorial Park North. Green Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Homer Emerson Whitner
March 27, 1943 — Feb. 23, 2005

DALLAS — Services for Homer Emerson, 61, were 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel.

He worked with his son Homer J. “Jeff” Whitner in heating and air conditioning installation for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; son; Homer “Jeff” Whitner; daughter Latricia Whitnet; grand children, Shade, Hunter, Morgan and Cailyn Whitner, along with numerous other family members and friends.

Burial was in Dallas Fort Worth National cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Laurel Land Funeral Home in Dallas.

Richard Edward Brown
Jan. 5, 1940 - March 5, 2001954

DALLAS - Private funeral services for Richard Edward Brown were held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2001 at the V.A. National cemetery, Dallas/Ft. Worth.

Born on Jan. 5, 1940 in Dallas, the son of Otis and Juanita Brown, he passed away March 5, 2001 at the Veterans Hospital in Dallas.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Sheryl Lynn and Rodney Horning of Midlothian and Lisa Michelle and Jesse Brooks of Lancaster; son and daughter-in-law Kevin Edward and Frances Brown of Coppell; brothers Robert Brown and wife Donelle of Suwanee, Ga., Kenneth Brown and wife Lou Anne of Waxahachie; sisters Sandra Wood and husband Marcus of Italy, Joyce Pendley of Cedar Hill and Elaine Miller of Waxahachie and grandchildren Nicholas Horning, Emilie Horning, Brandon Brown, Cameron Brown and Katie Brooks.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.

Kathryn Louise 'Kitty Lou' Busby
Oct. 11, 1911 - March 5, 2001

WAXAHACHIE - Funeral services for Kathryn Louise 'Kitty Lou' Busby, 89 formerly of Waxahachie, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2001 in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home with Walter Buchanan officiating.

Born on Oct. 11, 1911 in Waxahachie, the daughter of Clinton Forrest and Clara Dean Wright Embry, she passed away March 5, 2001 at the Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Mo.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Leonard and Dorothy Embry and her husband Emmett Hanning Busby; she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Wayne and Fran Busby of Joplin and Ray and Kitty Busby of Waxahachie; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and brother and sister-in-law Coy and Bobbye Embry.

Pallbearers were Dave Embry, Jim Embry, Andrew Fittz, Michael Fittz, Brad Green, Jim McDill and Scott Rippeto.

Interment followed in the Hillcrest Burial Park under the direction of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Jesus Solis Chavez
Feb. 26, 2001 - Feb. 26, 2001

PALMER - Graveside services for Jesus Solis Chavez, of Palmer, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2001 in the Ferris Memorial Park North with Father Raul Garza officiating.

Born on Feb. 26, 2001 in Ennis, the son of Luis and Claudia Solis Chavez, he passed away Feb. 26, 2001 at Ennis Regional Medical Center in Ennis.

He is survived by his parents of Palmer; brother Luis Chavez Jr. of Palmer; sisters Jazmin Chavez of Palmer, Jocelyn Chavez of Palmer, Jennifer Chavez of Palmer, and Julissa Chavez of Palmer; grandfathers Juilo Solis of Veracruz, Mex. and Leon Chavez of Veracruz, Mex.; and grandmothers Melita Parra of Veracruz and Gabriela Ramos of Veracruz.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Benny Glen Cryer

WAXAHACHIE - Funeral services for Benny Glen Cryer, 64 of Waxahachie, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at the Red Oak Funeral Home Chapel with Kirk Shelton officiating.

Born on Dec. 10, 1936 in Wolf City, the son of Archie Lee and Edith L. Carter Cryer, he passed away March 11, 2001 in Dallas.

He is survived by his wife Patsy Cryer of Waxahachie; sons Michael Cryer of Red Oak and Charles Cryer of Red Oak; daughter Debra Henderson of Red Oak; brothers Ronald Cryer of Dallas and Randal Cryer of Dallas; sisters Lorene Willard of Dallas and Francis Harris of Dallas; mother of DeSoto and six grandchildren.

Interment followed in the Red Oak cemetery under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home, Berdon Byrum.

Reba Louise Northcutt Daily
March 7, 2001

WAXAHACHIE - Funeral services for Reba Louise Northcutt Daily were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2001 at Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Waxahachie with Rev. David Godwin, Rev. Tony Gonzales and Rev. Bill Ferrell officiating.

Preceded in death by a brother, sister, her parents James and Panthea Northcutt; she is survived by her husband of 50 years Earnest Daily; daughter Diane Gonzales; sons Dewey and Mike Daily; grandchildren Blake Knight, Tony Lynn Gonzales, Amanda Daily and Tori Gonzales; great-granddaughter Camille Knight; three brothers and six sisters.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.

Milton M. Dixon
April 9, 1933 - March 3, 2001

ENNIS - Funeral services for Milton M. Dixon, 67 of Ennis, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2001 in St. Johns Catholic Church with Rev. Fred Caldwell as celebrant.

Born on April 9, 1933 in Kaufman County, the son of Marvin and Leona Burke Dixon, he passed away March 3, 2001 at his home.

Preceded in death by sister Betty Jane Lockley; he is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Ennis; three daughters Shirley and Roger Cross of Forney, Janet Helms and Gary Kidder of Ft. Worth, Mary Dlabaj and Ralph Martinez of Ennis; mother of Ennis; five brothers Tom Dixon of Ennis, M.D. Dixon of Bardwell, Grover Dixon, Harvey Dixon and Earl Dixon of Ennis; and 10 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Carissa Dlabaj, Porfirio Mendez Jr., Gary Kidder, Roger Cross, Earl Dixon and Harvey Dixon.

Interment followed in the St. Josephs cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

Jettie V. Gilmore

ENNIS - Funeral services for Jettie V. Gilmore, 84, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2001 in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Eddie Ricks and Rev. Mark Richardson officiating.

Born on Feb. 13, 1917 in Avalon, the daughter of P.F. and Johnnie Frances Cox Gillespie, she passed away March 2, 2001 at the Ennis Regional Medical Center.

Preceded in death by four brothers Sol, Joe, Franklin and Woodrow Gillespie; she is survived by brother Pete Gillespie of Avalon; and two sisters Clemmie Flynt of Ennis and Nettie Helms of Italy.

Pallbearers were Ron Gillespie, Steven Beakley, Robert Wolt, Larry Poarch, Don Muirhead and Bob Beakley.

Interment followed in the Elm Branch cemetery in Bardwell under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

Howard Michael 'Mike' Lewis
Aug. 17, 1954 - March 8, 2001

PALMER - Graveside services for Howard Michael 'Mike' Lewis, 46 of Palmer, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2001 at Myrtle cemetery in Ennis with Bro. Edward Ricks officiating.

Born on Aug. 17, 1954 in Waxahachie, the son of Harold and Geneva (Fuller) Lewis, he passed away March 8, 2001 at his residence.

Preceded in death by his father and brother; he is survived by his mother of Palmer; nieces Susan Fuller of Dallas, Wendy Lewis of Waxahachie and Brandy Outon of Glenn Heights; uncle Tom Fuller and wife Sue of Cedar Hill and his grandmother Mary Fuller of Ferris.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Zeferino Luna

FERRIS - Funeral services for Zeferino Luna, 66 of Ferris, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2001 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Ferris with Deacon Isidro Olvera officiating.

Born on Sept. 15, 1934 in Laredo, the son of Zeferino Sr. and Josefa Perales Luna, he passed away Feb. 27, 2001 at Ennis Regional Medical Center.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister Petra Luna; he is survived by his wife Eulalia Hernandez of Ferris; daughters Maria Isabel Luna of Strathmore, Calif., Maria Elena Luna of Lindsay, Calif., Anna Maria Luna of Reno, Nev.; son Luis Mamuel Lunda of Lindsay; step-daughters Gloria Morales of Ferris and Rosa E. Cervantes of Dallas; step-son Jose L. Hernandez of Palmer; and sisters Victoria Aguilar of Laredo and Belen Martinez of Corpus Christi.

Interment followed in the Ferris Memorial Park North under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Born on Oct. 1, 1971 in Kaufman, she passed away March 11, 2001.

Preceded in death by her mother Treva Rogers and grandparents Steve Dobecka, Billy Aeby and Mary Barnett; she is survived by her daughter Samantha Malone; Samantha's father James Malone; parents Jodie and Marie Dobecka; brothers Jerry Anderson, David, Daniel and Jimmy Dobecka; sisters Sallie Dobecka and Melissa Chance; grandparents Mary Dobecka, Byron and Lois Leonhart; and fianc'e Mark Velasquez.

Interment followed in the Roselawn Memorial Park under the direction of Roselawn Funeral Home and cemetery in Seagoville.
