OVILLA – Funeral services for Linda Marie (Baugh) Northcutt, 59 of Ovilla, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lloyd Hughes officiating.
Born Sept. 7, 1941 in Dallas, the daughter of Jake Oscar and Margaret Clorine Shockley Baugh, she passed away July 8, 2001 at Charleton Methodist Hospital.
Preceded in death by her parents; she is survived by her husband of 40 years Windell Northcutt of Ovilla; son Andy Northcutt and wife Mickie of Midlothian; daughter Stormy Northcutt-Fuller and husband Donnie of Lancaster; two grandsons Austin Northcutt and Skyler Fuller; five sisters Joann and Kenneth Samford of Mabank, Dorothy and Al Conine of Merit, Dixie and Leon Thompson of Midlothian, Judy Baugh of Lancaster and Jackie and Gerald Vines of DeSoto and brother Jake and Doris Baugh of Red Oak.
Interment followed in the Holy Redeemer cemetery in DeSoto under the direction of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

James Carter Ponder
Aug. 30, 1932 – July 11, 2001

WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for James Carter Ponder were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2001 in the Waxahachie Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Earl Teeter and Rev. Eldon McNaughton officiating.
Born on Aug. 30, 1932 in Alvarado, the son of Louis and Fannie Ponder, he passed away July 11, 2001.
He is survived by his wife Janell Watkins Ponder; sons Louis and wife Kathy Ponder of Midlothian and Jimmy Hanes of Midlothian; three daughters Brenda Hanes, Terri and husband John Harrington and Karen McDonald all of Midlothian; brother Louis A. Ponder of Alvarado; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Don Garrett, Mark Ponder, Robert Ponder, Ron Herring, Narciso Rosello and Bobby Pinkerton.
Interment followed in the Mt. Zion cemetery under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.

Zola Virginia Webb
Nov. 9, 1926 – July 9, 2001

FERRIS – Graveside services for Zola Virginia Webb, 74 of Ferris, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2001 in the Ferris Memorial Park North with Rev. Steve Hamm officiating.
Born Nov. 9, 1926 in Dallas, she passed away July 9, 2001.
Preceded in death by her husband Benson Mearl Webb; parents Eugene E. and Mary E. Williams; brothers Edwin E. and Alvin L. Williams and her sister Vivian P. Craker; she is survived by her sister Katherine Sadler; son Benson E. Webb and wife Sheryl; daughters Patsy A. Butler and husband David, Nita J. Fagan and husband Morris; seven grandchildren and spouses; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Trudie Woods
Jan. 1, 1912 – July 14, 2001

DAWSON – Funeral services for Trudie Woods, 89 of Dawson, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2001 in the Red Oak Funeral Home Chapel.
Born Jan. 1, 1912 in Caledonia, Miss., the daughter of Elbert Reeves, she passed away July 14, 2001 in Mexia.
She is survived by sons Leon Woods of Purdon and Charles Woods of Dawson; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Laurel Land cemetery in Dallas under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home, Berdon Byrum.

Lorena Margaret Rummel
May 23, 1921 - June 11, 2003

DESOTO - Funeral services for Lorena Margaret Rummel, 82 of DeSoto were held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2003 at Red Oak Funeral Home with Bruce Zimmerman officiating.
Born May 23, 1921 in Buckholts, Tex., the daughter of Frank Zalesky and Ludmilla Bauer, she passed away June 11, 2003 in DeSoto.
Preceded in death by her husband, she is survived by son Harry Rummel of Winnsboro, daughter Diane Bolton of Red Oak, grandchildren Andrew, Jeremy, Morgan, Marylyn all of Red Oak.
Arrangements were under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home with interment at DFW National cemetery in Dallas.

Lilly Jewell Shoemaker
March 10, 1923 - June 10, 2003

DUNCANVILLE - Funeral services for Lilly Jewell Shoemaker, 80 of Duncanville, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2003 at Green Funeral Home in Ferris with Reverend Elmer Glazener officiating.
Born March 10, 1923 in Whitehall, Texas to Nolan Howard and Jewell Hunt, she passed away on June 10, 2003 at Integrated Specialty Hospital in Dallas. She was married to Henry Curtis Shoemaker and worked as a housewife.
Preceded in death by her husband Henry, father Nolan Howard, mother Jewell Hunt, brother Vernon Howard, sons Johnny Lee Shoemaker, Kiddo Shoemaker, Charles Shoemaker, and daughter Diane Shoemaker, she is survived by son Roy L. Shoemaker and wife Mary of Wilmer, daughter Bunkey Diane Eads and husband Ira Lee Eads of Durant, Oklahoma, son Donnie Shoemaker of Dallas, grandsons Ross Curtis Shoemaker of Durant, Ronnie Shoemaker of Waco, and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris with interment at Oak Lawn cemetery in Mabank.

William E. Rawlings
April 11, 1923 - June 9, 2003

LANCASTER - Funeral services for William E. Rawlings, 80 of Lancaster were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church in Lancaster with George Rawlings officiating.
Born on April 11,1923 in Faxon, Oklahoma, he passed away on June 9, 2003 in Lancaster. During World War II, he served in the Marine Corps.
Preceded in death by his wife, Frances, he is survived by daughters Candace Carroll of Dilley, Texas, Kimberly Guest of Mesquite, Sigrid Yates of White Oak, Texas, brothers George Rawlings of San Antonio, Don Rawlings of White Oak, John Rawlings of Arizona, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction Red Oak Funeral Home in Red Oak with interment to be at the DFW National cemetery in Dallas.

She is survived by her husband Cleatus Pennington of Red Oak, mother and father Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Little of Enid Oklahoma, sons Kyle Pennington of Red Oak, Jeffery Pennington of Red Oak, brothers Pete Seidl of California, sisters Sandra Sampson of Quinlan, Texas, Brenda Sulzen of Wyoming, Debbie Spradlin of Midlothian, grandchildren Shae Lyn Pennington, Brooke Pennington, and Gavin Reaves.
Arrangements were under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home with interment at Red Oak cemetery.

FERRIS - Funeral services for Myrtle V. Murray, 62 of Ferris, were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church in Ferris.
Born Aug. 25, 1930 in Palmer to Travis and Rosie Sparks, she passed away. She met and married Aritz Lee Murray, Sr. in 1947. She was married to him for 52 years and had 10 children.
Preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Rosie Sparks, husband, Aritz Murray, Sr., two children, Faye Dell Hunter, Donald Ray Murray, and one grandson, Norman Hunter, she is survived by two sons Aritz Lee Murray, Jr. and wife Evelyn, Marvin L. Murray and wife Latonya, seven daughters Carolyn Sue and husband James, Marilyn Kaye and husband Michael, Margaret Pauline, Rita Renee and husband Bobby Joe, Donna Louise, Veronica Elaine and Brenda Joyce, nine grandchildren Rodrick, Brodrick, Anthony, Monica 'Shoe Shoe', Kendrick, Aritz Lee Murray III, Derek, Fredrick, Roman, special devoted granddaughter and caregiver Monica 'Missy' Murray and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, one sister Pearlie Luster of Dallas, and a very special sister-in-law Ruth Louise Scott (better known as Aunt Ruth).

Preceded in death by his father John Clayton Harrington Sr.; he is survived by his wife Wendy; son Dylan; grandson Caleb; mother Marguerite of Wilmer; brother Tommy of Arlington and sister Mary Ann Schlientz of Conway, Ark.

Born June 28, 1950 in Asherton, Texas to Ramon Luna Davila and Rosa Parras, he passed away on June 15, 2003. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and achieved the rank of Sp-4. He was married to Maria Guadalupe Oliva in 1996.
Preceded in death by his mother, brothers Manuel, Ramon, sisters Diana, Rosa, daughter Eyvonn, and son Ramon Davila, he is survived by his father Ramon Luna Davila of Asherton, TX, wife Maria Davila of Ferris, daughters Michelle Schmidt of Killeen, Alma Merry of Dike, TX, Rachel Contreras of Reisel, TX, Sonya Fergerson of Colorado Springs, CO, Son Julian Davila of Ft. Bragg, NC, 14 grandchildren, 1 great grand child, and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris with interment at the DFW National cemetery in Dallas.
