ENNIS - Funeral services for Anna Cecilia Dlabaj, of Ennis, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 in the St. John Catholic Church.
Born June 5, 1916, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Polach) Horak, she passed away Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006.
Preceded in death by her five brothers Frank, Louis, Joe, Johnny and Bernard Horak and sister Marie Valentine; she is survived by her husband Bill; three children Pauline Lanicek and her husband Wesley of Ennis, Betty Valek and her husband Michael of Dallas and David Dlabaj and his wife Faye of Corinth; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Entombment followed at St Joseph cemetery under the direction of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.

Brookelynn Guerrero
Oct. 3, 2006 - Oct. 3, 2006

WAXAHACHIE - Funeral services for Brookelynn Faith Guerrero, infant of Waxahachie, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Todd Grimes and Rev. James Baker officiating.
Born Oct. 3, 2006 in Waxahachie, the daughter of Michael Guerrero and Kristen Nelson, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006 in the Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie.
She is survived by her parents Michael Guerrero and Kristen Nelson of Waxahachie; brother Dakota Johnson of Waxahachie; sister Madison Johnson of Waxahachie; grandparents Kay Purcell of Waxahachie, Del Guerrero of Lubbock, David Sanford and Sherri Sanford of Cooper; and great-grandparents Pat Price of Fort Worth, Feral Hartness of Lubbock, Pete and Barbara Sanford of Midlothian and Hugh Nelson of Waxahachie.
Interment followed in the Palmer cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

Frances Ann McCarty
Jan. 12, 1931 - Oct. 3, 2006

ENNIS - Funeral services for Frances Ann McCarty, 75 of Ennis, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Eddie Ricks officiating.
Born Jan. 12, 1931 in Houston, the daughter of Carl Lee and Bessie Mae Steele Outlaw, she passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006 in her home in Ennis.
Preceded in death by her parents and brother Lawrence Outlaw in 1982; she is survived by her husband Willie of Ennis; brother and his wife Warren H. and Frances Outlaw of Brackettville; nephew and his wife Warren and Janet Outlaw and their two children Warren III and Heather Outlaw of League City.
Interment followed in the Wheat cemetery in Millican under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

Eleanor J. Marshall
May 3, 1920 – Oct. 2, 2006

WAXAHACHIE - Celebration of life services for Eleanor J. Marshall, 86, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 in the First United Methodist Church in Waxahachie.
Born May 3, 1920, she passed away Monday, Oct. 2, 2006 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie.
Interment followed in Hillcrest Burial Park under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

Kattie Ryno
Sept. 21, 1933 - Oct. 3, 2006

KEMP - Funeral services for Kattie Ryno, 73, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 with Chaplain Josh McDonald officiating.
Born Sept. 21, 1933 in China Springs, the daughter of Ruby and Frank Slaughter, she passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006 in Kemp.
She is survived by daughters Peggy Ann Baker of Kemp, Linda Duke of Meridian, Miss., Patricia Scharschell and husband Frank of Plate City, Mo. and Latricia Spurlock of Kemp; son Cohen L. Spears and wife Patsy of Braxton, Miss.; brothers Bobby Slaughter and wife Peggy of Savoy, Frank Slaughter and wife Charlette of White Wright; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Harris, Jerad McKeithan, Steven (Bear) Baker, Dennis Lowe, Tim Crandall, Phil Mixon and Jeff Haley. Honorary Pallbearers were Brandon Scharschell, Tyler Crandall, Phillip Mixon and Bryan Spears.
Interment followed in the Sardis cemetery under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.

Kayse Susanne Schoolfield
Nov. 5, 1972 – Oct. 2, 2006

WAXAHACHIE - Funeral services for Kayse Schoolfield, 33, lifetime Ellis County resident, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 in the Waxahachie Bible Church with Bruce Zimmerman, Michael Elrod and Bud Lovell officiating.
Born Nov. 5, 1972 in Dallas, the daughter of Lloyd Don and Mary Frances “Susie” (McNeil) Caldwell, she passed away Monday, Oct. 2, 2006 at the Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie.
Preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Charles and Alva (Lady) Caldwell and maternal grandparents Liston and Lucille McNeil; she was survived by her husband H. Clay Schoolfield of Waxahachie; son Clayton Lane Schoolfield and daughter Jessica Elaine Schoolfield; parents Don and Mary Frances (Susie) Caldwell of Oak Leaf; brothers Kenneth Allan Caldwell and wife Judi of Midlothian, Craig Norman Caldwell and wife Laura of Mansfield; and father-in-law and mother-in-law Bob and Peggy Casey Schoolfield of Waxahachie.
Pallbearers were Chad Bray, Todd Alexander, Terry Nay, Gary Champion, Brian Prachyl and Adolfo Cordova. Honorary Pallbearers were Bill McKinney, Charles McKinney, Tom Caldwell, Gary Caldwell, Russ Kerr and Kevin Kerr.
Interment followed in the Waxahachie City cemetery under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

Willie Edward Bearden
Oct. 5, 1921 - Oct. 20, 2006

WAXAHACHIE - Funeral services for Willie Edward “Ed” Bearden, 85, were held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006 in the Greenwood Chapel.
Born Oct. 5, 1921 in Waxahachie, he passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2006.
He is survived by his wife Elda Bearden; sons Larry Bearden and Mike Bearden; daughter Sandra Helman; stepson Robert Beauchamp; stepdaughters Paula Cashion and Kay Goar; brother L.E. Bearden; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Dallas-Fort Worth National cemetery under the direction of Greenwood Funeral Home.

Faye Crow
Nov. 30, 1909 - Oct. 23, 2006

WAXAHACHIE - Celebration of life services for Faye Crow were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Brown officiating.
Born Nov. 30, 1909 in Russellville, Ark., the daughter of Joseph Andrew and Sarah Elizabeth (Warnick) Lemmons, she passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2006 in the Pleasant Manor Health and Rehab.
Preceded in death by her parents, one son, one daughter, seven brothers, three sisters, one grandson, one great-grandson and a son-in-law; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Robert Farmer of Waxahachie; grandchildren Ricky Hodge, Faith Sitz, Sherri Cunningham and Jerry Farmer; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Sardis cemetery under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

James Duncan
Oct. 2, 1920 - Oct. 21, 2006

WAXAHACHIE - Memorial services for James Duncan, 86, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006 in the First Christian Church in Waxahachie with Pastor Vance McIntosh and Dr. Gary Bronson officiating.
Born Oct. 2, 1920 in Rabia, Okla., the son of Fred L. and Newling (Sharrock) Duncan, he passed away at Baylor Hospital in Dallas Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife and daughter Donna Duncan; he is survived by his brother Jack Duncan of Clarksville; and sister and brother-in-law June and Harold Brown of Sidney, Ohio.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

Roy Gressett
April 10, 1915 - Oct. 24, 2006

ENNIS - Funeral services for Roy Chester Gressett, 91 of Ennis, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006 in the Gilmer-Baldridge Church of Christ with Darryl Willis officiating.
Born April 10, 1915 in Comanche, the son of Henry and Nannie Smith Gressett, he passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at the Lifecare Hospital in Dallas.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother J.T. Gressett and sister Lottie Turner; he is survived by his wife Geraldine of Ennis; children Roy James Gressett of Ennis, Nancy Gressett Porter and her husband Charles of Houston, Gerrie Gressett Huthmacher and her husband William of Ennis and Sherrie Gressett Crow of Ennis; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister Reubene Scott of Aledo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Assoc., 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305.
Interment followed in Myrtle cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

Rosalind Holloway
Sept. 4, 1904 - Oct. 23, 2006

ENNIS - Funeral services for Rosalind Holloway, 102 of Ennis, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006 in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Howard Martin officiating.
Born Sept. 4, 1904 in Avalon, she passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at the IOOF Nursing Home in Ennis.
She is survived by a sister Mary B. Vytopil of Ennis; three nephews Phillip Cass of Ennis, Dix Bowles of Dallas and Charles Bowles of Ennis; and sister-in-law Dee Cass of Ennis.
Interment followed in Myrtle cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
