WAXAHACHIE - Funeral services for Ina Mae Nash, 90, were held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2006 in the Keever Chapel with Ferman Carpenter officiating.
Born Jan. 23, 1916 in Ellis County, the daughter of Benjamin F. and Una Deluah Slocum Cooke, she passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006 in the Heritage Oaks West Nursing Home in Corsicana.
Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Hollis Cooke and Fred Cooke and sister Phama Garritson; she is survived by her husband Wesley; two sons and their wives Donald and Mary Nash of Waxahachie and Gary and Sandra Nash of San Antonio; daughter and her husband Carol and Dr. Bobby Barham of Corsicana; three brothers Ralph Cooke, Wendell Cooke and Billy Cooke; five sisters Geneva Dyess, Frankie Lord, Mary Patman, LaRue Dyess and Betty Venable.; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in Myrtle cemetery in Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

Keenan Prachyl
Aug. 13, 1985 - Oct. 24, 2006

ENNIS - Mass of Christian burial services for Keenan Prachyl, 21 of Ennis, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006 in the Keever Chapel.
Born Aug. 13, 1985 in Ennis, he passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006 in Ennis.
Preceded in death by his brother Jeff Prachyl in 2001; he is survived by his parents Tommy and Sharon Prachyl of Ennis; three brothers and their wives Lonnie and Cindy Prachyl of Waco, T.J. and Delany Prachyl and Danny and Laurie Prachyl all of Ennis; sister Valery Prachyl of Waxahachie; grandparents Rita and Kit Roark of Waxahachie; and great-grandparents Norma Peyton of Ennis and Leta and Joe Leaks of Dallas.
Interment followed in St. Josephs cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

Isabel R. Trevino
Sept. 15, 1925 - Oct. 23, 2006

PALMER - Mass of Christian burial for Isabel R. Trevino, 81 of Palmer, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006 in the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church
Born Sept. 15, 1925 in Kingsville, the son of Pablo and Cruz Ramirez Trevino, he passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at his home in Palmer.
Preceded in death by a son Robert, three brothers and two sisters; he is survived by his wife Maria of Palmer; two sons Rojelio Trevino of Lancaster and Ruben Trevino of Palmer; daughter and her husband Hope and Kenneth Littles of Palmer; three brothers Bernadino Trevino of Ferris, Paul Trevino of Arkansas and Raul Trevino of Ferris; two sisters Dolores Rivera of India and Josephine Carrizal of Ferris; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Holy Redeemer cemetery in DeSoto under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary - Palmer Chapel.

Lola B. Whitacre
Aug. 1, 1907 - Oct. 21, 2006

ENNIS - Funeral services for Lola B. Whitacre, 99 of Ennis, were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2006 in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Richard Moody, Rev. Katy Rigler and Jessica Thorne officiating.
Born Aug. 1, 1907 in Wheelock, the daughter of John E. and Clara Wallace Mooney, she passed away Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006 at her home in Ennis.
She is survived by a son and his wife Edward and Linda Whitacre of San Antonio; daughter and her husband Jeannine and Ken Lauer of Nashville, Tenn.; brother Tommy Mooney of Hearne; two sisters Leta Bush of Houston and Mary Lee Myers of Texarkana; five grandchildren Jessica Thorne, Jennifer Hindert, Russell Lauer, Katy Rigler and Edward Lauer; 10 great-grandchildren and special friends, Gloria Hinojosa, Mamie Evans, Corine Everton, Yolando Hambrick and Ramona Montemayor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Interment followed in Myrtle cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.

James Nicklas
June 12, 1933 - Dec. 24, 2006

PALMER - Funeral services for James Nicklas, 73 of Gun Barrel City, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006 at Green Funeral Home with Rev. Don Clark and Rev. Michael Bacon officiating.
Born June 12, 1933 in Palmer, the son of the late James Henry and Virginia (Johnson) Nicklas, he passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006 while in the company of family members at his residence in Gun Barrel City.
He was a retired Master Sgt. in the United States Air Force in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War and also an ordained minister.
Preceded in death by his first wife Helen Jean Davis Nicklas in 1992; he is survived by his wife Virginia (Robinson) Nicklas of Gun Barrel City; daughters Genevia Ruth Crow of Fort Worth, Debra Jean Bacon of Plainville, Conn. and Cynthia Ann Cox of Overton, Tex.; stepsons John Preston Bentley of Angus and Michael Lee Bentley of Kerens; sister Betty Welch of Kaufman; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Ferris Memorial Park North under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Maria Guadalupe Soto
Oct. 1, 1951 - Feb. 18, 2007

ENNIS - Mass of Christian burial services for Maria Guadalupe Soto, 55 of Ennis, were held at 12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007 in the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Ferris with Deacon Isidro Olvera officiating.
Born Oct. 1, 1951 in La Mesa Prieta, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the daughter of the late Gregorio and Elana Izaguirre Andrade, she passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007 at Baylor All Saints in Ft. Worth.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years Jose Evaristo Soto, Sr. of Ennis; daughters Alma Soto-Ramos and husband Juan Ramos of Bristol and Daisy and husband Manual Sierra of Waxahachie; son Jose Soto and wife Connie Rios-Soto of Seagoville; granddaughters Vanessa Soto of Seagoville, Amanda Ramos of Bristol, Elena Ramos of Bristol, Pricilla Ramos of Bristol, Destiny Sierra of Waxahachie and Leslie Soto of Bristol; and grandson Manuel Sierra Jr. of Waxahachie.
Interment followed in the Ferris Memorial Park North under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Audrey Mae Burns Criss

ITALY - Funeral services for Audrey Mae Burns Criss, 67 of Italy, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 2007 in the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy with Rev. Kenneth Alexander officiating.
Born Jan. 19, 1940 in Telephone, Tex., the daughter of Vernon Harold Hays, Jr. and Ruby Crawford Hays, she passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2007 at her home.
Preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters; she is survived by her children Paula Crawford and husband Dan, Brenda LaCour and husband Jerry all of Milford, David Pilcher of Alvarado, Gayla McGinnis of Dallas and Cindy Thomas of Waxahachie; brothers and sisters Tony, Jan, Doris, Ken, Brenda and Cindy; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Milford cemetery under the direction of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Born June 12, 1937 in Dallas, the daughter of the late Jose Angel and Aurora (Ramirez) Martel, she passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at her residence while in the company of family members.
Preceded in death by her parents Aurora Ramirez Martel and Jose Angel Martel; brothers Francisco Rodriguez and Jesus Rodriguez; sister Celia Romero and great-grandson Victor Alexander Calvillo; she is survived by her husband Jose Gutierrez Sr. of Ferris; daughters Consuelo and husband Julio Trevino of Ferris and Beatrice and husband Juan Vega of Ferris; sons Jose Cruz Jr. and wife Elena Gutierrez of Ferris, Gerardo Sr.and wife Maria Gutierrez of Ferris, Jose Angel Sr. and wife Irma Gutierrez, Miguel Sr. and wife Elda Gutierrez of Ferris and Jesus Sr. and wife Sandra Gutierrez of Ferris; sister Zenaida and husband Lupe Ortega of Dallas; brothers Sabino and wife Alicia Rodriguez of Dallas, Gilbert Martel of Dallas and Arturo and wife Eloisa Martel of Mexico; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Ferris Memorial Park North under the direction of Green Funeral Home.

Ruthie Mae Jackson
March 19, 2007

Funeral services for Ruthie Mae Jackson were held March 24, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Greater Holmes Street 2505 E. Ledbetter Dr. in Dallas.
She passed away on March 19, 2007.
She was a retired Highland Park cafeteria Supervisor, loving church mother and missionary of the Greater Holmes Street Church of God in Christ, where she served faithfully over 55 ye-ars until her death.
She is survived by son Odell Hall Sr. (Bobbie); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers James and Tommy Runnels.

Joe Merle Redd
Nov. 17, 1932 - March 22, 2007

DALLAS - Memorial services for Joe Merle Redd, 74 of Dallas, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Green Funeral Home.
Born Nov. 17, 1932 in Mesquite, the son of the late Merle Wagner and Lina Grace (Spruil) Wagner, he passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007 suddenly at Doctor’s Hospital.
He worked as a painter and also served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister; he is survived his son Rodney and daughter in-law Pam Redd of Ferris; sister Mary Redd of Dallas; brothers Harold and wife Donna Redd of Seagoville, Milton Redd of Garland and David Redd of Dallas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Glenn Reed Bennett
June 25, 1935 – Sept. 28, 2007

LANCASTER - Funeral services for Glenn Reed Bennett, 72, were held Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007 at Byrum Funeral Chapel in Lancaster.
Born June 25, 1935 in San Angelo, the son of George T. and Bertha Reed Bennett, he passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2007.
Preceded in death by wife Anna Jane Bennett and sons Troy Bennett and Vernon Ormsby; he is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Doyle and Loretta Bennett and James Kelly; daughters and sons-in-law Carri and Charles Luna, Linda Bradshaw and Sheron and Wayne Stanford; brother and sister-in-law George and Terry Bennett; sister Elizabeth Barbaria; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
