James Lee Parmley
August 13, 1957 - September 25, 2010

On September 25, 2010, James ended his long battle with a rare illness. He fought like a true warrior and is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
James Lee Parmley was born on August 13, 1957 to Frances and Billy Charles Parmley in Dallas, Texas. The family moved early in his childhood to Nacogdoches, Texas. He spent his youth and early adult years in Nacogdoches. He was educated in the Nacogdoches school system and attended Stephen F. Austin. His rural upbringing brought him a standard of hard work and high moral ethics.
James moved to the Dallas area where he met his wife Holly. Together they worked hard and raised their two sons Joshua and Jermey. James loved and adored his family.
James was a funeral director and embalmer. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. He was the class president. James was employed by many of the funeral homes across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He later found his true calling as a medical massage therapist. James understood what pain was having numerous ailments. He also believed that there was a better way than the traditional standards. He became a pioneer and forged a path for better care for his patients. James became friends with many of his patients because of his caring and healing touch. James believed in the power of human touch.
As a young man, James loved to sing. He loved singing the old gospel songs. He was member of the Singing Christians from Nacogdoches. James briefly had a radio show called Southern Gospel Now on KBEC . James relived the old songs for a few hours every Sunday night. He and Cecil Pollack put together several gospel conventions. They were fortunate to have these picked up by major broadcasting networks.
James was a strong supporter of law enforcement. He was an honorary member of the Blue Knights, Chapter 21, Rio Grande Conference. He was actively involved in the yearly chili cook off and believed charity of caring for abused children.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Billy Charles Parmley, grandparents: T. M and Bernice Johnston, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bullock.
James was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Holly: sons: Joshua and Jermey, daughter in law: Stephanie; Grandchildren: Cheyenne and Chloe, Brother: Tommy; step father, Warren Gray; sister in law: Merri, and a host of family, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Covenant Life Church of Waxahachie. Honorary Pallbearers are the Band of Brothers of Covenant Life Church. James was full of energy and never met a stranger. He loved life and enjoyed every minute of it. We will all miss his smiles, laughter and healing touch. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Jada Marie Nobles
March 9, 1933 - February 28, 2011

Jada Marie Nobles, 77 of Red Oak, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 in a Dallas hospital. She was born to the late Mack F. and Lula Bell Thornton Jones on March 9, 1933 in Sanco, Texas.
Jada was an extremely talented seamstress and it was her passion in life, which brought her so much joy. She made clothing for her grandchildren and children which included wedding dresses, suites and clothes for school. She loved and raised exotic birds including parakeets, cockatiels, and African gray parrots. Jada adored her grandkids and loved spending time with all of her family. Jada served as choir director at the Red Oak Methodist Church from the late 60’s through late 70’s. Her example of love will forever be remembered and never forgotten.
She is survived by her sons, Ed Nobles and his wife, Debbie of Denton, Don Nobles and his wife, Lindy of Prosper, Richard Nobles and his wife, Kathy of Waxahachie, Ron Nobles and his wife, Elaine of Red Oak; her sister, Carol Jones of Waco; her grandchildren, Bexie, Julie, Russell, Chelle, Sara, Andy, Valerie; and great granddaughter, Maddie.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, T. Edward Nobles; and also by her daughter-in-law, Bekki Nobles.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church of Red Oak with Pastor Allen Grant Officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Oak cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
If desired, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 25, Red Oak, Texas 75154, or an online donation may be made by going to www.fumcro.org.
Services will be conducted under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.

Alice Fay Mercer
April 27, 1925 - March 5, 2011

Alice Fay Mercer, 85 of Waxahachie, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 in Lancaster. She was born to the late James W. and Arrie M. Wafer Culver on April 27, 1925 in Palmer, Texas.
Alice was an accomplished seamstress and loved sewing, especially for her family. She enjoyed cooking, canning and helping Henry on their farm. The moments she enjoyed most were spending time with her family, especially Henry and all of her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Henry Mercer of Waxahachie; her sister, Mattie Elizabeth Caldwell of Ferris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, 1 brother and also by her twin brother, Ellis Ray Culver.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home of Waxahachie. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

Gail Golden
June 29, 1947 - March 5, 2011

Gail Golden, 63 of Ft. Worth, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011. She was born to the late Roscoe and Evelyn Wells Osteen on June 29, 1947 in Orange County, Florida.
Gail loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them so much. She cherished taking care of others, has an infectious laugh, and was always fun to be around. Gail was meticulous in her work in finance, loved her co-workers and enjoyed her career very much. Her life was dedicated to her son who passed away in 2007. Gail will truly be missed by so many who loved her and enjoyed being a part of her life.
She is survived by her brother, Roscoe Osteen and his wife, Denise of Waxahachie and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Scott Shotwell and by her parents.
Memorial services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at St. Paul Episcopal Church with the Rev. Terry Reisner officiating.

Jimmie M Jones
November 20, 1941 - March 8, 2011

Jimmie M. Jones, 69 of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in Waxahachie. He was born to the late Marge M. and Betty Miller Jones on November 20, 1941 in Houston, Texas.
Jim graduated from West Columbia High School then served in the United States Army. Following his service Jim worked many years in the auto parts industry. He had his insurance and broker’s license and during his retirement years he often served as a substitute teacher for Midlothian ISD. Some of his fondest memories were with the kids in the debate classes. Jim loved his step children and grandchildren very much and he enjoyed going to their various sporting events and stock shows. His kind loving presence was a strong support and influence for all of his children and grandchildren over the years. He was there for them as long as his health would allow him. You could always depend on Papa.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Wanda Jones of Waxahachie; his daughters, Carla Stephenson and her husband, Mikel of Waxahachie, Teresa Evans and her husband, Todd of Waxahachie; his son, Gary W. Bogy and his wife, Kristi of Midlothian; his sisters, JoAnn Rabb of Angleton, Peggy Langley of West Columbia, Kathy Nutter and her husband, Gene of Sublime; his brothers, Larry Jones and his wife, Janice of Boise, Idaho, Marty Jones and his wife, Fran of West Columbia, Randy Jones and his wife, Sassie of Lake Jackson, David Jones and his wife, Sandy of Spring; and 9 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Nancy Jordon Jones; his infant son, Eugene Jones; his mother and father; and by his brothers-in-law, Daniel Rabb and F. Ray Langley.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
Services to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at Baker Funeral Home, West Columbia, Texas. Interment will follow at the Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest cemetery in West Columbia.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 Noon until service time at Baker Funeral Home on Friday, March 11, 2011 in West Columbia.
At the families request, memorials may be made to the Gingerbread House, 425 East Ross Street, Waxahachie, Texas 75165

ROSEMARY HAYES
February 14, 1938 - March 7, 2011

Rosemary Hayes, 73 of Waxahachie, passed away March 07, 2011 in Waxahachie. She was born February 14, 1938 in Pasco, Washington to James Curtis and Unicie Jane Grinstead Bruce. She was a longtime resident of Waxahachie, a Baptist by faith and a homemaker.She is survived by her 2 sons: Jerimiah Hayes, Jr. of Sulfur Springs, Texas and Stephen Hayes of New York. 2 Daughters: Carol Hayes of Waxahachie and Lisa and Billy Burkes of Waxahachie. 1 sister and brother in law: Carol and Al Salzer of Seattle, Washington; 6 grandchildren: Justin Hayes, Billy Burkes, Jr., Bobby Burkes, Shelby Hayes and Dustin Hayes; 2 Great grandchildren: Hannah and ShyAnne Burkes. 1 cousin: Bruce McCaw of Touchet, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years Jerimiah (Jerry) Hayes in 2010, her son Richard Hayes in 2000 and 3 brothers: Darrell, Lee Roy, William Bruce and 2 sisters: Joyce and Patty Bruce. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Ansell officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the funeral home.

Richard Garvin Rankin
April 1, 1939 - August 12, 2011

Richard “Dick” Rankin, 72, a longtime resident of Newbury, NH passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2011 in Waxahachie, Texas with his daughter and son-in-law, Trish and Gene Spaziani, at his side.
Born April 1, 1939 in Westerly, RI, Dick was the only child of the late Roy and Charlotte (Rigby) Rankin. He was raised in Westerly, Rhode Island where he graduated high school in 1957. In 1958 he married Alexandra “Sandy” Ferguson and together they raised 5 children.
Dick and his family lived in Maine for many years before settling in Newbury, NH. Dick enjoyed working a variety of trades. He was employed for many years at General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division in Groton, CT. He owned and operated his own lobster boat for many years as well. When living in Maine, Dick was employed by Lyman-Morse Boat Builders in Thomaston and the Wayfarer in Camden. He also worked for the Watch Hill, RI Boat Yard, the John Hall Boat Yard, Avondale, RI and Dobson’s Boat Yard in Stonington, CT. Dick loved being on the ocean, fishing, lobstering and sailing. His final place of employment was with the NH State Department of Transportation.
He enjoyed working in his shop on his many woodworking projects, gardening and traveling with friends. Dick was an entrepreneur too; he was the proud creator and “Head Clam” of Clam Sportswear, LLC.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Alexandra Rankin of Auburn, Maine and his daughters, Debra Ann Marr and her husband, Ron of Thomaston, ME; Dawn Bozogan and her husband, Alan, of Newport, NH; DoriLynn Ruman and her husband, Stephen of Greene, ME; Tricia Spaziani and her husband, Gene of Waxahachie, TX and Charlotte A. Rankin of Goshen, NH. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan, Julie and Caitlyn Carroll of Maine and Danielle Rankin of Claremont, NH, EJ Spaziani of Dallas, TX and Kendall Spaizani of Jacksonville, FL and his great-grandson, Kamden Spaziani. He is also survived by dear friends, Steve Barton of Andover, NH and Christopher Moen of Goshen, NH and his beloved dogs, Max and Forget-Me-Not. Dick will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
Per Dick’s request, there will be no calling hours and memorial service will be held at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dick’s name to the U.S. Humane Society or the American Cancer Society. The Wayne Boze Funeral Home of Waxahachie, Texas is entrusted with the arrangements.

Warren Nathan * Shorty * Culp
September 20, 1927 - August 16, 2011

Warren Nathan "Shorty" Culp, 82 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 in Dallas. He was born to the late Jeff Nathaniel & Anna Lois Geeslin Culp in Hermleigh, Texas on September 20, 1927. Shorty was a assembly line worker for Ford Motor Company from 1953 to 1970 when he retired, he then went to work at Owens Corning Fiberglass as a welder from 1971 to 1992 when he retired. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and was a Wildlife Hunter Safety Instructer for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Annalee M. Culp of Waxahachie, Texas; 3 Daughters & Sons In Laws: Nancy & Kenneth Arterbury of Whitesboro, Texas, Janice & Reginal Hargrave of Oakwood, Texas and Wynell & John Bounds of Caldwell, Texas; Grandchildren: Dwayne Arterbury of Whitesboro, Tx., Natalie Proffer and husband Daniel of Myra, Texas, Nickolas Hargrave of Oakwood, Texas, Nathaniel Hargrave of Dallas, Texas, 3 Great Grandchildren: McKenna Proffer, Augustus Arterbury and Anna Proffer. 2 Brothers: Robert Culp of Twenty Nine Palms, California and Waymon Culp of Whitney, Texas.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Unnamed Baby Culp of Somerset, Texas, Jeff Culp of Waco, Texas, Jameson J.B. Culp of Clifton, Texas.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Grimes officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home
Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahcahie.

Former Texas resident Eunice Burnice Barron Nash, 61, died August 12, 2011, surrounded by family.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, Henderson, Texas on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 4:00 pm and a burial soon after at the Neeley cemetery. A visitation with the family will be from 3:30 PM till service time at the Trinity Baptist Church the day of the service.
Mrs. Nash was born December 14, 1949, in Dacus, Texas to Elbert and Isabel Baron. Mrs. Nash is survived by her 5 brothers, Elbert "Peewee" Barron, Joe Neeley, Benjamin Neeley, Alford Neeley and Johnny Neeley; 2 sister, Rebecca "Beckey" Hornsby, Connie Neeley; daughter, Julie Nash; son and his spouse, Jonathan and Jennifer Nash; and 6 grandchildren, Alex Nash, Brittany Young, Jeremy Young, Brianna Christman, Kayli Nash, and Collin Nash; and 1 great grandchild.
Mrs. Nash was preceded in death by her husband John Nash; mother, Isbelle Neeley; father Albert Barron.
