ENNIS - Funeral services for Billy Mack Conn, 65 of Ennis, were held under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
Born Oct. 24, 1942 in Waxahachie, the son of the late Cal Joe and Maxine (Whitley) Conn, he passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 in Ennis.
He worked as a Ranch Hand for Hart Farms.
He is survived by children Terry Conn, Tracy Conn, Tommy Conn, Tonya Conn and Teresa Conn all of Longview; siblings Benny Conn of Ennis, Boyd Michael Conn of Tampa, Fla., Barbra Campbell of Bedford, Betty Campbell of San Antonio and Aunt Margie Hartis of Ferris.

Beatrice “Bea” Edwards
Feb. 22, 1919 - Feb. 20, 2008

FERRIS - Funeral services for Beatrice “Bea” Edwards, 88 of Ferris, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 in the Green Funeral Home chapel.
Born Feb. 22, 1919 in Celeste, the daughter of the late John William and Ida Jane (Helton) Doyle, she passed away with her family at her side Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008.
Bea retired in June of 1991 as owner of B’s Coffee Bar & Grill in Ferris, after serving nearly 45 years of home cooked meals and her famous daily baked homemade pies.
Bea had quick wit and had a contagious laugh and candor.
She was tender hearted and always helping people at need.
Preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers; she is survived by two brothers Howard Doyle of Fort Worth and J. Nolan Doyle of Houston, several nieces and nephews and a great host of friends.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society 3301 West Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
Interment followed at 2 p.m. in Merit cemetery under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Enid Brandenburg Flaherty (Jones)
Nov. 26, 1917 - Dec. 29, 2012

RED OAK - Enid Brandenburg Flaherty (Jones), 95 formerly of Cisco, Texas and Red Oak, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 in Whitney. Service are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Maurey officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at the Oakwood cemetery in Cisco.
Enid was born on Nov. 26, 1917 in Bridgeport, Ill. to Rex and Grace Garrett Brandenburg.
She was valedictorian of her high school class but was unable to attend college as the great depression was in full force. She spent her adult life working outside the home as a waitress, moving often with her husband, Ralph to various cities in the Texas oilfields. She was a wonderful and caring but stern mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed and was very talented at crocheting and quilting. During her years in Red Oak she was very active at the Senior Citizens Center’s quilting circle as well as attending Faith Baptist Church in Red Oak and Spring Creek Baptist Church in Waxahachie.
Enid was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, brothers Bud and Wayne and her daughter Carolyn Sue Wilson. She is survived by Sue’s four children Ronnie, Debbie, Dennis and Bryan and their 10 children and 16 grandchildren. She is also survived by her son Kenneth and his wife Carol of Morgan, Texas and their two sons Kevin and Shawn, daughter in law Kristi and their three grandsons and two great grandchildren; and son Dan and his wife Julia of San Marcos and their three sons Robert, Eric, Shane and daughters in law Shanna and Susan and two granddaughter.
Pallbearers & honorary pallbearers will be: Ronald Wilson, Debra Stigall, Dennis Wilson, Kevin Flaherty, Robert Flaherty, Shawn Flaherty, Eric Flaherty, Shane Flaherty and Bryan Wilson.
The family suggest that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Kevin Wayne Peterson
August 11, 1961 - July 9, 2013

Dr. Kevin Wayne Peterson, D.Min, was promoted to enjoying the fullness of the glory of God on July 9, 2013, in Red Oak, Tx. Kevin was born on August 11, 1961, in Granite City, Illinois to Sharon and Larry Peterson. He grew up with a brother, Keith, and a sister, Kim. Upon beginning college, he married the love of his life, Michelle Renee Raymond on June 12, 1981. They enjoyed 32 years of marriage together. Kevin graduated from Central Bible College with a BA in Bible. He served as an associate pastor and senior pastor at various churches, as well the Director of Enrollment at South Western Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Tx. On July 3, 2013, Kevin received his Doctorate of Ministry from West Coast Bible College and Seminary. Kevin is survived by his wife, Michelle Peterson of Red Oak; son and daughter-in-law, Drew and Cassie Peterson of Waxahachie; son, Devin Peterson of Red Oak, Tx.; Parents Larry and Sharon Peterson of Godfrey, Il.; Grandsons, Elijah and Uriah Peterson of Waxahachie; Sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Jeff French of Edwardsville, Il.; Sister-in-Law, Jennifer Peterson of Bethalto, Il.; Nephew and Niece, Nathan and Julia French of Edwards, Il.; and Nephew, Mykal Peterson of Bethalto, Il. He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Peterson. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 3:00 pm, at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas with Rev. Rick Dubose officiating.

Delvia Vargas Tovar
January 26, 1930 - September 13, 2010

Delvia Vargas Tovar, 80 of Waxahachie, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 in Waxahachie. She was born to the late Eugene and Pauline Ramos Tovar on January 26, 1930 in Italy, Texas.
Delvia loved gardening, cooking and loved admiring art. She retired after 37 years from Neiman Marcus in Dallas as a dress designer and worked close with the Marcus family. Delvia loved spending time with her family and she will be missed by so many.
She is survived by her brother, David Tovar and his wife, Carmen of Dallas; her sister, Susan McMillon of Italy; her brother, Jesse Tovar and his wife, Pat of Italy; her sister, Vicky Smith and her husband, Jimmy of Bardwell; and her brother, Joe Tovar and his wife, Sue of Italy.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mona Morales; her sisters, Flavia Gonzales, Sara Tovar and Rosie Castillo; and by her 2 brothers, Manuel Tovar, Richard Tovar.
Services for Delvia will be held at a later date.

Bernyce Ewing Crownover
November 28, 1926 - September 23, 2010

Bernyce Ewing Crownover, 83 of Waxahachie, formerly of Italy, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on November 28, 1926 in Proctor, Texas to the late Richard B. and Allie Morgan Ewing.
Bernyce was not a stranger to Ellis County, having volunteered and dedicating her time to so many individuals and organizations. She was named First Lady of Waxahachie. She served on the Executive Board to the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce and served on the Ellis County Child Protective Services Board for 18 years; was a member of the Shakespeare Club and was currently serving on the Executive Board to the Gingerbread House in Waxahachie for 10 years. Bernyce was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church of Waxahachie. Bernyce, along with her husband Roy, founded and operated Texas Nameplate and Identification Plates in Dallas.
Bernyce made a friend everywhere she went and was always willing to go the extra mile. When she committed to a project, she was passionate and dedicated and always made whatever she was working on a success. There are so many friends and organizations that will greatly miss her loyal service, her smile, and her love that she so willingly displayed every single day to all.
Bernyce is survived by her sons, Dale Crownover and his wife, Julie of Italy, Doug Crownover and his wife, Karen of Sunnyvale; her grandsons, Ryan Crownover of Italy, Dan Crownover of Italy, Matt Crownover and his wife, Juliana of Garland; her granddaughter, Heather Crownover of Sunnyvale; her great grandchildren, Noah, Micah, Miriam and Lydia; her nieces, Kathryn Lay and her husband, Bill, Delores Fineske and her husband, Gary, Rhonda Lewis and her husband, Jim; her nephew, Jerry Spurger; and her sister-in-law, Virgie Ewing of Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Roy Douglas Crownover; her brother, R. B. Ewing; her sister-in-laws, Delora Higginbotham, Joyce Spurger; her nephew, Roger Spurger; her aunt, Ethel Harris.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Central Presbyterian Church of Waxahachie with Rev. Anna Whitehead officiating. A private family graveside service will be held. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gingerbread House, 425 East Ross Street, Waxahachie, Texas 75165 or the Central Presbyterian Church 402 North College, Waxahachie, Texas, 75165.
Those to serve as pallbearers include Matt Crownover, Ryan Crownover, Dan Crownover, Sam Franklin, Troy Knowlton, and Bill Lay.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pat, Anita, and to Hospice Plus for their extraordinary care during the final days of Bernyce’s illness.

Frances Marie Felty
March 9, 1928 - September 23, 2010

Marie passed away peacefully at her home on September 23. Marie was born on March 9, 1928 in St Jo, TX . She was raised in the Celeste area and graduated from Celeste High School in 1946.
Marie married Bob Felty on August 14, 1946. They raised two children, Fred Davy Felty and Bob Kelly Felty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob. She is survived by her son Fred and his wife, Lynne, grandson Mark Felty and wife Valerie, granddaughter Tracey and husband, Tony Catelino, great grandchildren, Lucas, Tristan and Carley Felty and by son, Bob Kelly Felty and wife Mary Beth and grandchildren Jackson, Sarah and Michael Felty.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Services for Mrs. Felty will be held 9:00 A.M. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 24 and Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. at the Celeste cemetery.
The pall bearers will be: Lynn Grisham, Ray Grisham, Kenny Jackson, Scott Lake, Chris Reamy, and Jeffrey Babers. Honorary pall bearer: Charles Felty.
Arrangements under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.

Cleo Marie Jackson
August 27, 1917 - September 23, 2010

Cleo Marie Jackson, 93 of Maypearl, passed away September 23, 2010 in Waxahachie, Texas.
She was born August 27, 1917 in Shongaloo, Louisiana to Hiram A. & Nelia Munn Bradford. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana. She married Oscar Branch Jackson in June of 1940 and he preceded her in death December 27, 1971.
She is survived by her 3 sons: Andrew Holland Jackson of Waxahachie; Brad Jackson of Oklahoma City, OK and O.B. Jackson of Austin, Texas. 1 Daughter: Linda J. Welty of Westwood Hills, Kansas. 1 Sister: Dannie Ray Waters of Minden, Louisiana; 12 Grandchildren: 10 Great Grandchildren: Niece: Martha Willburn of Maypearl, Tx. 6 Nephews: Scott Jackson, Calvin Jackson, John Jackson, Donald Waters, John Waters, Charles Waters and 3 Nieces: Victoria Bannister, Marjorie Heldt and Susan Hensley.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 9:30 AM Saturday October 02, 2010 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Ozro cemetery in Maypearl, Texas. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, October 01, 2010 . Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Trey Jackson, John David Welty, Brian Jackson Welty, and friends: Ricky Wilburn, Billy Haynes and Clifford Frazier. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Waters, John Waters, Donald Waters, Bobby Westbrook, Jackie Pruitt, Leroy Parker, Calvin Johnson, Scott Jackson and John Jackson.
Arrangements are under the director of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.

CHARLES ANDREW CARROLL, SR.
September 11, 1925 - June 24, 2014

Charles Andrew Carroll, Sr., 88 of Dallas, Texas passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Dallas. Charles was born September 11, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas to Walter J. & Bertie Mae Jackson Carroll. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Union bricklayer for many years. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by children: Charles Carroll Jr. & wife Robbie, Brenda Romero & husband Jesse, Debbie Coppock & husband Doug, Karen Carroll, Carolyn Carroll and Phillip Carroll & wife Bounnak. Grandchildren: David Carroll & wife Yvonne, Cindy Eggleston & husband Mark, Jeffrey Holden & wife Sharon, Tiffinie Romero, Tim Romero & wife Brittanee, Douglas Coppock & wife Rubi and Daniel Coppock & wife Amanda, Charles Martin, Amber Martin, Amy Dorman, Kasey Davis & husband Justin, David Kissam & wife Lindsey, Cathy Connors, David Connors, Dale Connors, Justin Connors, Jennifer Medrano, Vanessa Santo, Shanna Lawrence, Debbie Carroll, Jamie Lemmons, Lisa Taylor, Randy Baker, Jay Baker & wife Amanda. Great Grandchildren: Hailey & Chase Carroll, John, David & Kaitlyn Reynolds, Eric, Landrie, Hylan, Keegan, Dylan, Elijah Dorman, Dawson Kissam, Lauren Kissam, Chaz, Julie Ann, Haylen, Tucker Green, Holly, Tim Merritt, Austin Brandon, Brooklyn, Preston, Joslin Lawrence, Sarah, Lyric, Gia, Ashley, Kyndall, Travis, Lauren, Miranda, Dillon, Hunter, Jayden and Chloe and 6 great grandchildren that are not named. Also surviving are his brothers & sisters: Ozella Carroll, Ted Carroll, Jerry Carroll and Bessie Carroll.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia Carroll, children: Frances Martin, Timothy Carroll, James Carroll, Richard Allen Carroll, Siblings: Clyde Carroll, Velma and Johnny Carroll.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 12:00 PM Friday, June 27, 2014 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Jamie McWilliams officiating. Interment will be at 9:15 AM Friday, June 27, 2014 at the DFW National cemetery in Dallas.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
