EMMA E. KENNEY
KEYSER, W.Va. - Emma Elizabeth (Shobe) Kenney, 85, of Harley O. Staggers Sr. Drive, Keyser, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, at the Moran Manor Nursing Home, Westernport, Md.
Born on Nov. 8, 1913, at Dorcas, she was a daughter of the late Wilber and Lucy (Smith) Shobe. On Sept. 21, 1935, she married
Edward I. Kenney, who preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1995. She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Angie J. Lyon, Lucy M. Grubbs and Sally S. Sands; and one brother, W. Henry Shobe.
Mrs. Kenney was a homemaker. She was a member of the North Mill Creek Baptist Church, Dorcas, and attended the Calvary United Methodist Church, Keyser.
She is survived by one sister, Orrie "Shobie" Fisher, Fisher; one sister-in-law, Judy Shobe and husband Wayne, Hagerstown, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. E. Jay West officiating.
CASPER W. KESNER
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Casper William Kesner, 95, of River Road, Romney, died Jan. 6, 1999, at The Long Term Care Unit of the Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney.
He was born on Dec. 17, 1903, in Grant County, a son of the late John Elburn and Leona Belle (Wratchford) Kesner. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Virgil C. and Charles R. Kesner; one sister; and six brothers.
Mr. Kesner was a farmer. He was of the Brethren faith.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Irene M. (Combs) Kesner, Romney; 11 sons, James Russell Kesner, Omaha, Neb., E. LeRoy Kesner, Romney, Casper Junior Kesner, Shanks, Ernest H. Kesner, LaVale, Md., Richard G. Kesner, Romney, J. Blaine Kesner, Winchester, Va., A. Brooks Kesner, C. Eugene Kesner, and G. Allen Kesner, all of Romney, Ralph Stephen Kesner, Augusta, and Don F. Kesner, Springfield; three daughters, Dorothy A. Pratt, Falls Church, Va., Elizabeth B. Whitacre, Venton, Va., M. Patricia Riggleman, Augusta; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Sadie) Shoemaker, Romney, and Mrs. Leonard (Alma) Dean, Romney; 29 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, on Friday, Jan. 8, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Romney Assembly of God Church on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m. Mr. Kesner's body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. to lie in state for one hour before the service. Don F. Kesner, Minister, assisted by Pastor Brian Moreland, will officiate.
MIRANDA R. HUGHES
CARPENDALE, W.Va. - Miranda Rose Hughes, 2, of Carpendale, died Saturday, June 19, 1999, at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Born July 24, 1997, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of William J. and Rose Marie (Miller) Hughes, Carpendale.
In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Seth and Devin, both at home; two sisters, Erica and Justine, both at home; paternal grandmother, Betty Mellott, Hagerstown; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Wednesday, June 23, 1999, from 10 to 11 a.m.
The service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harry R. Burchell Jr. officiating.

HELEN VIRGINIA HYDE
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Helen Virginia (Blue) Hyde, 85, of Fort Ashby, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 12, 1913, in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Mary Elizabeth (Stickley) Blue.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Hyde; three sisters, Catherine Hott, Wendy Wolford and Elizabeth Coleman.
Mrs. Hyde was retired from the G.C. Murphy Company, having been an auditor and office employee in McKeesport, Pa.
She was Methodist by faith.
Survivors include four sisters, Opal Willison, Mae Dyer and Laverne Marker, all of Fort Ashby, and Martha Lee Perrin, Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dallas Forren officiating.

MARY M. KEPLINGER
PETERSBURG, W.Va. - Mary Margaret (Ayers) Keplinger, 93, of Petersburg, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.
Born March 8, 1906, in Pansy, she was the daughter of the late Ruben and Annie Frances (Judy) Ayers. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Leon "Loudy" Keplinger on June 4, 1971; two daughters, infant Annabelle Keplinger and Eula Mae Borror; two sons, Earl Junior Keplinger and Paul Clifton Keplinger; one brother, Glen Ayers; and two sisters, infant Leslie Ayers and Mernie Crites.
Mrs. Keplinger attended Bethel Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are two sons, Warney R. Ayers, Petersburg, and Jesse E. Keplinger, Cusseta, Ga.; four daughters, Goldie F. Reel, Virgie C. Kile, Linda L. Crites, and Rosalie Bell, all of Petersburg; 33 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted there on Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Donaldson and the Rev. Charles Lomasney officiating.

GLOUCESTER, Va. - Perry M. ``Pete" Hall, age 67, of Gloucester, died Thursday, May 6, 1999, in Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.
Born Nov. 24, 1931, in Bennettsville, S.C., he was a son of the late Joseph and Lavada Hall.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean (Evans) Hall; three sons, Michael Hall, Ocala, Fla., Randall Hall, Chester, Va., and Dennis Hall, Stockton, Calif.; one stepson, Harry Abernathy, Knoxville, Tenn.; one daughter, Teresa Garner, Kenston, N.C.; six sisters, Anna Ruth Brown, Fayetteville, N.C., Josephine Smith, Wagoner, S.C., Evelyn Collier, Richmond, Va., Vivian Horton and Linda Hickey, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Patricia Motley, Portsmouth, Va.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hall is at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, Md., where friends will be received on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Fran Williams officiating.
GEORGIANNA E. KELLEY
KEYSER, W.Va. - Georgianna E. Kelley, 74, of 404 S. Main St., Keyser, died on Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Pentagon City Hospital, Arlington, Va.
Born on Aug. 23, 1924, in Russelldale, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Jonah Nelson and Rebecca (High) Kelley. She was also preceded in death by a brother, J. Edward Kelley; and a niece, Virginia Gross.
Georgianna was a retired Financial Secretary from the Mineral County Board of Education. She was a graduate of Potomac State College and West Virginia University.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, a member of the Retired Mineral County School Employees, the Keyser Duplicate Bridge Club, and was Secretary for the Queens Meadow Point cemetery.
Surviving are her sister, Beulah Kelley Patrick and husband, Dack N., Sr., Rockville, Md.; three nephews, Dack N. Patrick Jr., Edward Kelley Patrick and Dick Patrick; six great-nieces, Faith Gross, Carly Patrick, Christina Patrick, Erin Patrick, Maggie Snow and Mary Katelin Patrick; five great-nephews, Paul Gross, Dack Patrick III, Sam Snow, Sean Patrick and Bryan Patrick.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, March 29, 1999, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Sue Culbertson Jarrett officiating.
