JULIUS VIRGIL CARR
MAYSVILLE, W.Va. - Julius V. Carr, age 81, of Maysville, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at the Veterans Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Born July 3, 1916, at Cabins, W.Va., he was the son of the late Jonas Carr and Cora Alice (Waldron) Carr.
Preceding him in death, besides his parents, were three brothers; one sister; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Carr was a logger and a farmer. He was a member of Cabins Assembly of God Church, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He also was a member of the Potomac Highlands VFW Post 6454.
Surviving are his wife, Jessie M. (Berg) Carr; three sons, Larry D. Carr, Gary A. Carr and Paul V. Carr, all of Maysville; three daughters, Elma Layton, New Creek, W.Va., Geneva Hedrick, Belington, W.Va. and Geraldine L. Evans, Maysville; one sister, Arvella Stonestreet, Maysville; one brother, Harman C. Carr, Winchester, Va.; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one-great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, W.Va., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cabins Assembly of God Church, Cabins, on Saturday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Steve Landis and the Rev. Joseph Eversole officiating.
Burial will be in the Barger cemetery at Maysville, W.Va.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Potomac Highlands VFW Post 6454 and American Legion Post 78 of Petersburg, W.Va.
ROBERT J. EVERSOLE
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Robert Joseph Eversole, 58, of Romney, died Sunday, July 5, 1998, at the Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Romney.
He was born on Nov. 18, 1939, at Keyser, a son of the late Harry A. and Edith D. (Cavanaugh) Eversole. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Buddy and Kenny Eversole; and one sister, Loraine Nester.
Mr. Eversole was formerly employed as a construction Foreman for S.O. Jennings Company before he was disabled.
Mr. Eversole was of the Protestant faith. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Virginia and West Virginia Game Fowl Breeders Association.
Survivors include his wife, Carole J. (Davis) Eversole; two sons, Robert J. "Rob" Eversole II, and wife, Paulette, Augusta, Judson T. Eversole, and fiancee, Tina Billmeyer, Morgantown; one daughter, Pamela J. Eversole, Romney; four granddaughters, Ja'Naye Eversole, Romney, Jeannie Rohrbaugh, Delray, Jade'Lynn Eversole and Jaza'Lynn Eversole, both of Augusta.
Friends will be received at the Shaffer Funeral Home Inc., Romney, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Eversole officiating.
THELMA C. DEIHL
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - Thelma C. Deihl, 79, formerly of Furnace Street, Cumberland, Md., now residing with her daughter in Ormond Beach, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, at the Memorial Hospital of Ormond Beach.
Born March 21, 1918, at Elk Garden, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Edward Atchison and Edith Frederica (Kerns) Atchison. Her husband, John "Jack" D. Deihl, died on March 18, 1996.
Mrs. Deihl retired in 1982 from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Co., where she worked as a time clerk, with more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Centre Street United Methodist Church, and the Wesleyan Circle of the United Methodist Women of the church. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Henry Hart VFW Post 1411.
She was an honor graduate of Elk Garden (W.Va.) High School, and attended Potomac State College, Keyser, W.Va., and Catherman's Business School.
She had been living in Ormond Beach with her daughter since the death of her husband.
Surviving are one daughter, Amelia Ann Perry, with whom she resided; one son, John Edward Lee Deihl, Virginia Beach, Va.; one grandson, Scott Starcher, U.S. Army in Washington, D.C.; one granddaughter, Crystal Perry, Baltimore; two brothers, Joseph Atchison and wife Jeanne, Longboat Key, Fla., and Robert Atchison, Portsmouth, Va.; and one sister-in-law, Margaret E. "Peg" Oster, Bedford Valley, Pa.
Friends will be received at the Kight Funeral Home, 309-311 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Lloyd B. McCanna and the Rev. Adam E. Grim officiating.
HILDA F. EDWARDS
POINTS, W.Va. - Hilda Fern Edwards, 78, of Points, died Sunday, July 12, 1998, at her residence.
Born Aug. 15, 1919, in Points, she was the daughter of the late David Walter Rowzee and Eva (Haines) Rowzee. Her husband, Bernard Odell Edwards, died Aug. 27, 1993. She also was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Edwards was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Points. A member of the Slanesville Extension Homemakers Club, she served as past county president for the homemakers. She was past postmaster in Slanesville.
Surviving are two sons, Gary Edwards, Augusta, and Donald Edwards, Fort Ashby; two daughters, Joyce Omps, Whitacre, Va., and Karen Parish, Points; one brother, Edgar Rowzee, Burton, Mich.; one sister, Ada Edwards, Augusta; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Salem United Methodist Church, Points, Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Peggy Hurlbutt officiating.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Omps, David Omps, Alan Spaid, Bryan Edwards, George Hott and Aaron Edwards.

RUBY E. BOYER
CARPENDALE, W.Va. - Ruby Eulla Boyer, 74, of Carpendale, died Sunday, July 12, 1998, at the Lions Manor Nursing Home.
Born April 18, 1924, in Ridgeley, she was the daughter of the late Abe and Artenchie (Lambert) Martin. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Pershing Boyer.
Mrs. Boyer was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Robert "Bob" Boyer and wife Nancy, with whom she resided; her daughter, Faye Pfitzenmayer and husband Ed, Oldtown; two grandchildren, Gary Pfitzenmayer and Nicole Nixon; four great-grandchildren, Jessica and Zachary Nixon, and Danielle and Leagha Pfitzenmayer; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Annie Lloyd.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., corner of Greene and Smallwood streets, Cumberland, Md., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Carolyn Wilson officiating.
JAMES F. DELSIGNORE
AURORA, W.Va. - James F. DelSignore, 76, of Alf Wotring Road, Aurora, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at his home.
Born May 24, 1921, in Bayard, he was the son of the late Michael and Agnes (DelSignore) DelSignore.
Mr. DelSignore was a retired farmer, and was Catholic by faith. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving are two nephews whom he raised, Homer D. Flesher and Dallas L. Flesher, both of Aurora; three sisters, Mary Watkins, Bayard, Miss Rose DelSignore, Thomas, and Elizabeth Edgar, Oakland, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Oakland, on Monday, March 2, 1998, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father Richard Spencer as celebrant.
