MILDRED L. LEWIS
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Mildred L. Lewis, 96, of the Dawn View Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Ridgeley, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born Oct. 31, 1901, in Clearville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Luthur and Blanche (Chrisy) Barney. She also was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Lewis; one daughter, the Rev. Elenore (Diggs) McClarren; and one sister, Lillian Hornbloom.
Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. She was a past member of McKinley Chapter 12, Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are one daughter, Marian Kinser and husband Albert, Oldtown, Md.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Funeral and interment services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Stevens Sr. officiating.
LULA G. KLINE
PAW PAW, W.Va. - Lula Grace DuVall Kline, age 95, of Berkeley Springs, formerly of Paw Paw, died on Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born Oct. 9, 1903, in Dan's Run, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Emma Wilson Ward.
She was a life member of Paw Paw United Methodist Church, Paw Paw, the Ambrosian Sunday School Class, and the United Methodist Women. She was very active with Paw Paw Senior Life Services and the Ladies Auxiliary of Paw Paw Volunteer Fire Department. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are one daughter, Emma M. Frye, Berkeley Springs; one son, Marvin T. DuVall, Berkeley Springs; one daughter-in-law, Rita DuVall, Alexandria, Va.; one sister, Mabel Wagoner, Ridgeley; five grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Thomas DuVall, in 1957; her second husband, Web Kline, in 1971; two daughters, Shirley DuVall, Helen I. Twigg; one son, John E. DuVall; one sister, Daisy Milleson; and one brother, Carl Ward.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at Paw Paw United Methodist Church, Lee Street, Paw Paw, with the Rev. Nancy L. Ward and the Rev. Greg Twigg officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church on Wednesday. The funeral home will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday for the convenience of friends.

GEROULD H. KLINESTIVER
KEYSER, W.Va. - Gerould H. Klinestiver, 91, a resident of the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home, formerly of 110 Southern Drive, Keyser, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born Nov. 28, 1906, in Nebraska, Pa., he was the son of the late Fred and Mary (Balentine) Klinestiver.
Mr. Klinestiver was a graduate of Penn State with a degree in chemistry. He was a retired chemist from Westvaco. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; Keyser Kiwanis Club; American Chemical Society; Masonic Lodge 577 AF & AM, Tionesta, Pa.; Keyser Chapter 19 RAM; Damascus Commandry 23, K.T.; and the Upper Potomac Shrine Club. He also was a Boy Scout leader.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma V. (Donald) Klinestiver; three sons, Dr. Donald G. Klinestiver and wife Ann, Robert L. Klinestiver and wife Geseil, all of Milton, W.Va., and Frederick Klinestiver, Keyser; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Markwood-McKenzie Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Samuel E. Starling Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Keyser.
Davis Lodge 51 AF & AM will conduct a Masonic graveside service.
GLADYS L. LANCASTER
FURNACE ACRES, Ridgeley, W.Va. - Gladys Lillian (Sipes) Lancaster, age 86, of Route 3, Furnace Acres, Ridgeley, died May 13, 1998, at the Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
She was born May 29, 1911, in Little Orleans, Md., the daughter of the late Samuel Sipes and Mazzie Blanche (Stottlemyer) Sipes. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edward Lancaster; three brothers, Eugene Sipes, Asbury Sipes and Clyde Sipes; and two sisters, Aletta Coffman and Ada Hofe.
Mrs. Lancaster worked at the Celanese and was a Homemaker. She also was a member of the Little Orleans Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Janice Seely, and husband, George, Barberton, Ohio.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Leasure-Stein Funeral Home in Cumberland.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Bernadette M. Ross officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Cumberland.

WARNIE J. LANDIS
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Warnie J. Landis, 70, of Fort Ashby, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born April 30, 1928, in Green Spring, he was the son of the late Warnie E. and Lena (Wagoner) Landis.
Mr. Landis worked for James Garland Petroleum from 1947-1969. From 1969 until 1993 he was employed as a service man for Southern States.
He attended Springfield United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen (Ricewick) Landis; two daughters, Cynthia Moran and husband, John, Fredericksburg, Va., and Teal McConkey and husband, Bruce, Adelphi, Md.; five sisters, Thelma Landis and Alma Messick, both of Green Spring, Dorothy Beam, Fort Ashby, Shirley Paulus, Oldtown, Md., and JoAnn Corbett, Salisbury, N.C.; two grandchildren, Amber Feiffer and Casey McConkey; and one great-grandchild, Brooke Feiffer.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Deborah Shreve and the Rev. Norman Landis officiating.
PAULINE M. LAURSEN
KEYSER, W.Va. - Pauline Mitter Laursen, 85, of Carroll Avenue, Keyser, died Tuesday, May 19, 1998, at her residence.
Born June 4, 1912, in Keyser, she was the daughter of the late William Howard and Emma Kate (Adams) Mitter.
Mrs. Laursen was a former Bank Teller at the National Bank in Detroit, Mich. She was a Protestant by faith.
Surviving are one brother, Dwight Mitter, Madison Heights, Detroit; one sister, Margaret Louise Wilcox, Hillsboro, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.
