WILLIAM R. OLIVER
FLEMINGTON, N.J. - William R. Oliver, 72, of 167 Rockafellow Mill Road, Flemington, formerly of Keyser, W.Va., died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington.
Born on Aug. 15, 1926, in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Peter R. and Irene E. (Clark) Oliver. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mae (Kitzmiller) Oliver, on June 16, 1993.

Mr. Oliver was a retired printer by trade. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of Post #159, American Legion, Flemington, and Printing Industry Union, Local #72, Beltsville, Md.

Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Jean Molter and Linda G. Gilbert, both of Flemington; two sisters, Elizabeth Bachelor, Florida, Margaret Savitsky, Camp Springs, Md.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Sue Culbertson Jarrett officiating.

Interment will be in the Queens Point cemetery, Keyser.

Military honors will be accorded.

WILLIAM T. O'NEAL
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - William Torrence O'Neal, 72, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born June 3, 1925, in Mann Township, Bedford County, Pa., he was the son of the late William Herbert and Zella Mae (Wigfield) O'Neal. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Marion A. Caldwell.

Mr. O'Neal was a member of the Fairview Christian Church, Artemas, Pa. He attended the Silver Mills School, Bedford County. He worked as a machinist with the Western Maryland Railway Co. from 1950 to 1954.

Mr. O'Neal and his family lived in Baltimore from 1954 to 1956 and then moved to Westminster, Md. He also worked as a machinist with the Thompson Wire Co., Baltimore, from 1954 to 1969 and was promoted to maintenance foreman in 1964. From 1972 until his retirement in August 1987, he was a machinist with Malco Plastics in Garrison, Md. He moved to the Berkeley Springs area in September 1987.

Mr. O'Neal served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from Nov. 2, 1945, until his honorable discharge with the rank of sergeant on Dec. 10, 1946. He was awarded the Philippine Independence Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal. During his military service, he was educated at the AM School, Chevrolet Engine School and the Boeing Aircraft/Electrician School.

He was an outdoorsman whose hobbies and interests included hunting, fishing, crabbing, gardening, golf and wine making.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Jeanette (Earles) O'Neal, at home; one daughter, Donna Marie Reynolds, New Canaan, Conn.; one son, William Kelly O'Neal, Westminster; one stepdaughter, Sherry Lynn Trail, Chaneysvile, Pa.; one sister, Celeste A. Crownover, Port Matilda, Pa.; two brothers, Arlie "Jack" Straub, Ludington, Mich., and Cranston Thomas O'Neal, Knoxville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the O'Neal residence in Berkeley Springs on Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m.

Memorial services will be conducted at the Fairview Christian Church, Route 26, Mann Township, Artemas, on Saturday, May 2, 1998, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Milton Morris officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Tri-State Honor Guard. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 2015 Boyd Orchard Court, Martinsburg, WV 25401 or to Fairview Christian Church, c/o Leo Jay, RR1, Box 116, Artemas, PA 17211.

The Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs, is in charge of arrangements.

BOYD K. OSS
KEYSER, W.Va. - Boyd K. Oss, 87, formerly of 4 N. Church St., Keyser, died Monday, Sept. 28, 1998, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born on May 1, 1911, at Shaw, he was a son of the late George Albert and Fannie B. (Warnick) Oss. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn (Hughes) Oss, on Oct. 1, 1976; and three brothers, Harry, Blake and Chester Oss.

Mr. Oss was retired from the United States Postal Service as a carrier and window clerk, and from Buchanan Building Supply in Keyser. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Boyce-Houser Post #41, American Legion, Keyser, Lodge #662, Loyal Order of Moose, Keyser, and the First United Methodist Church, Keyser. He was also an avid bowler and golfer.

Surviving are his wife, Mary E. (Kephart) Oss; four daughters, Kathryn Ann Schade, Keyser, Evelyn M. Easter, Columbia, S.C., Linda L. McGreevy, Keyser, Helen C. Ratcliffe, Little River, S.C.; three step children, Carl W. McDonald, Keyser, Michael L. McDonald, Burlington, Regina C. Amtower, Romney; one sister, Lena O. Davis, Burlington; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and one step great-granddaughter.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Samuel Starling and the Rev. Matthew Riegel officiating.

Interment will be in the Queens Point cemetery, Keyser.

LEONA M. OURS
KEYSER, W.Va. - Leona M. Ours, 98, formerly of 500 Carskadon Lane, Keyser, and New Creek, died Monday, April 27, 1998, at the Moran Manor Nursing Home, Westernport, Md.
Born on March 13, 1900, in Grant County, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Minor and Katie (Liller) Runion. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Casper Lee Ours, on July 23, 1971, and by 10 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Ours was a homemaker and a member of the Duling United Methodist Church, Keyser.

Mrs. Ours was the last member of her immediate family. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Judson Pealer and the Rev. Thomas Anderson officiating.

Interment will be in the Olivet cemetery, Moorefield.

MARY A. OURS
FISHER, W.Va. - Mary Ann (Conrad) Ours, 64, of Fisher, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.
Born Jan. 6, 1934, in Fort Seybert, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John and Nora Mae (Dunkle) Conrad.

Mary Ann graduated from Franklin High School and Potomac State College. She married A. Clyde Ours Jr. in 1953. Together they owned and operated the Ours Valley View Farms.

Mrs. Ours retired from the Department of Highways after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Moorefield Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of Pattie Chrisman Ladies Bible Class, and a member of and soloist for the church choir. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the South Branch Valley National Bank, a committee member for Farm Service Agency, a member of the WV Poultry Association, a member of the WV and National Cattleman's Association, a member of the South Branch Chapter of DAR, and a member of the Rig Circle.

Mrs. Ours was preceded in death by her husband, A Clyde Ours Jr., on Aug. 19, 1994.

Surviving are their two daughters, Deborah Ours Bishop, of Fisher, and Jennifer L. Ours, of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Victoria Brooks Bishop; and one sister, Betty Jane May, of Fort Seybert.

Friends may call anytime after 8 a.m. Friday at the Elmore-Chambers Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 1998, at the Moorefield Presbyterian Church, with Bruce A. Macbeth officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet cemetery, Moorefield.

Memorials may be made to the A. Clyde Ours Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Moorefield Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 653, Moorefield, WV 26836.

MILDRED O. OURS
KEYSER, W.Va. - Mildred O. Ours, 89, of 10 Old Orchard Drive, Keyser, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at her residence.
Born Dec. 17, 1908, near Cross, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late John "Jack" and Naomi (Pugh) Kight. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Ours Sr., on Jan. 23, 1981; and one son, Wayne E. Ours, on Jan. 30, 1982.

Mrs. Ours attended the Keyser Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are six sons, James E. Ours, Martinsburg, Walter F. Ours Jr., Keyser, Kenneth H. Ours, Antioch, Paul R. Ours, New Creek, Harry E. Ours, Clarksville, Tenn., and John W. Ours, Rawlings; two daughters, Jean Whisner, New Creek, and Maxine Metz, Elyria, Ohio; two half brothers, Glenn Kight and Edwin Kight, both of Keyser; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ours was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 1 p.m. with Pastor George Keenan and the Rev. James Boyce officiating.

Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
