HELEN E. PAUL
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Helen Elizabeth Paul, 74, of Romney, died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at Altoona Hospital, Altoona, Pa.
Born July 4, 1922, in Sand Patch, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Susan Gertrude (Bell) Stein. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Paul, on June 4, 1987; an infant daughter, Carole Leigh Paul; and two brothers, Frederick and James Stein.
Mrs. Paul was a homemaker and a member of American Legion Post No. 91 Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are one daughter, Judith Ann Friend, Springfield; and one granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Profet, Raleigh, N.C.
Friends will be received at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, on Saturday, May 24, 1997, from 10 to 11 a.m.
Graveside and interment services will be held in the Indian Mound cemetery on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating.

PHILIP C. MORRIS
WILEY FORD, W.Va. - Philip C. Morris, 55, of Wiley Ford, died Sunday, June 1, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born July 10, 1941, in Wiley Ford, he was the son of the late Herman M. and Edith R. (Shrout) Morris. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Morris and Max Morris; and one sister, Lois Eileen Aldridge.
Mr. Morris was a member of the Church of Christ and the Local 37 Operating Engineers.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Carla R. (Skidmore) Morris; one daughter, Melinda Lovins and husband Gary, Cumberland; two sons, Philip Morris and Daniel Morris, both of Wiley Ford; two sisters, June Hutzell and husband Garland, Route 1, Ridgeley, and Evelyn Buser, Forest Acres, Ridgeley; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services and interment will be private.
The Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., is in charge of the arrangements.
MABEL G. PRICE
ELKINS, W.Va. - Mabel Gladys Price, 95, of Landover Place, Longwood, Fla., formerly of Elkins, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at South Seminole Hospital, Fla.
Born July 3, 1902, in Kitzmiller, Md., she was a daughter of the late Riley and Phoebe (Cooper) Wilson. On Aug. 9, 1919, at Elkins, she was married
to the Rev. Edgar S. Price, a retired Baptist minister, who preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1984. She also was preceded in death by one son, William W. Price.
Mrs. Price as a homemaker, a life-member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elkins, where her husband had served previously as pastor.
Surviving are three sons, Robert C. Price, Sanford, Fla., Dr. Joe N. Price, Cape Coral, Fla., and E. Dayle Price, Gainesville, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Lohr-Barb-Vance Funeral Home, 120 First St., Elkins, on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
On Tuesday afternoon, Mrs. Price will be moved to the First Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Marvin L. Parlie officiating.
JOHN H. MORRISON, JR.
MAYSVILLE, W.Va. - John Hull Morrison Jr., 79, of Maysville, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, at Grant County Nursing Home, Petersburg, where he had been a patient since Dec. 16, 1996.
Born May 7, 1918, in Lexington, Va., he was the son of the late John H. Morrison Sr. and Mamie (Lam) Morrison. He also was preceded in death by his first wife Louise (Monroe) Morrison, on April 20, 1963; one granddaughter, Kelly Morrison; and one sister, Marian Lutz.
Mr. Morrison owned and operated Vacuum Services, Inc., in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Lahmansville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife Kathryn (Painter) Porter Morrison, they were married
on June 21, 1975; one son, John H. Morrison III, Winchester, Va.; two step sons, Larry M. Porter and Mark S. Porter, both of Maysville; one daughter, Susan Morrison, Alexandria, Va.; one step daughter, Ellen Rexrode, Maysville; two sisters, Dorothy Schoenhut, Durham, N.C., and Ruth Leech, Lexington, Va.; one granddaughter, Rebecca Morrison; seven step grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. French Smith and the Rev. George Widmyer officiating.
Graveside services and interment will be at the Arlington National cemetery, Arlington, Va., on Friday at 1 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Lahmansville United Methodist Church, the Burlington Children's Home or to the Grant County Nursing Home.
LENA H. MULCAHY
PIEDMONT, W.Va. - Lena Hanlin Mulcahy, 59, of 51 Jones St., Piedmont, died Monday, March 10, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 16, 1937, in Keyser, she was a daughter of the late Arthur K. Decker and Gladys M. Grapes.
Mrs. Mulcahy was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Piedmont and the Piedmont Senior Citizens.
Surviving are six sons, John O. Hanlin Jr. and wife Cindy, Westernport, Md., Austin S. Hanlin and wife Kathy, Westernport, Fredrick A. Hanlin, Keyser, and Kenneth W. Hanlin, Piedmont, Mark E. Hanlin and wife Tara, Piedmont, and Michael S., Hanlin and wife Gale, Piedmont; four daughters, Carol E. Ray and husband Daniel, Moorefield, Donna D. Vogel and husband Terry, Allentown, Pa., Tena L. Hanlin, Bloomington, Md., and Mary K.D. Hanlin, Keyser; and 27 grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Brackett, Pastor of Piedmont Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.
MARY C. MURRAY
KEYSER, W.Va. - Mary Catherine Murray, 78, of 171 D St., Keyser, died on Saturday, April 12, 1997, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born on March 25, 1919, in Keyser, she was the daughter of the late Denny and Lois (Drake) McKee. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. ``Bill" Murray, on Sept. 1, 1984; and two brothers, Dick and Leon McKee.
Mary Catherine was known for her compassion and devotion to her family. She loved her children along with her many special friends. She loved collecting angels and will surely enjoy being among them.
Mrs. Murray was a lifetime member of the Grace United Methodist Church, the Grace United Methodist Women, Boyce-Houser Post 41 American Legion Auxiliary, Olive Temple Pythian Sisters, and the New Creek Homemakers Club.
Surviving are her son, Raymond ``Manny" Murray and wife Ruthi (Mosser), Chesapeake, Va.; two grandsons, Dirk Murray, Summerville, S.C., and Brad Murray, Chesapeake, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Derek, Meagan, and Jordon Murray; and one step-great-grandchild, Leo.
Friends will be received at the Markwood McKenzie Funeral Home, Keyser, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Friends may visit with the family at the home of Mary Mosser, 1300 Cronell St., Keyser, at other times.
Services will be conducted at the Markwood McKenzie Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 15, 1997, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Sue Culbertson Jarrett officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.

KEYSER, W.Va. - Anna B. Myers, 83, of 500 Carskadon Lane, Keyser, formerly of Hampshire Steet, Piedmont, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997, at her residence.
Born Nov. 6, 1913, in Westernport, Md., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Mills) Cowatch. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur L. Myers in 1989; three sisters, Margaret Green, Kay Cowatch, and Winifred Cowatch; and one brother, Mike Cowatch.
Mrs. Myers was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport.
Surviving are one son, Robert L. Myers and wife Rose Marie, Keyser; one daughter, Virginia Ann Collins and husband, Robert E., Rochester, Pa.; two brothers, Joe Cowatch, Westernport, and Frank Cowatch, Rockville; one sister, Virginia McCullough, Petersburg; four grandchildren, Todd Myers, Kelli Hickey, Maureen O'Neil, and Gregory Collins; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, on Friday at 9:30 a.m. with Father James Hannon as celebrant.
