PEGGY F. SITES
KEYSER, W.Va. - Peggy Fraser Sites, 71, of Keyser, went home to be with her God on Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997, at the Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. She went into the arms of her parents, the late Harry and Esther (Dayton) Fleek and her son, Harry Craig Fraser, who died on Jan. 26, 1948.
She was born Jan. 9, 1926, at Luke.
Mrs. Sites was a former cashier for the Village Card Shop. She also was a volunteer worker for Potomac Valley Hospital and the Committee on Aging, Keyser. She was a 1945 graduate of Keyser High School and a former Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of the Fountain United Brethren Church.
Surviving are her husband, Leonard Sites, of Westernport; her former husband of 38 years, Peter I. Fraser; four daughters, Kathy Lark and husband, Roger, Keyser, Mary Fraser, of California, DiAnn Lewis and husband, Ronnie, Cumberland, and Patty Brown and husband, John, Burlington, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Mark Craig Lark and wife, Debbie (Sheetz) Lark, Jason Fraser Lark and wife, Renae (Kinnie) Lark, Brian Wayne Lewis, Tara Lea Lewis, John Peter Brown, and Tisha Gale Brown.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Samuel Biser officiating.
THOMAS M. SMALL
KEYSER, W.VA. - Thomas M. Small, 82, of 282D Poplar Drive, Keyser, died on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997, in Caldwell.
Born Nov. 1, 1914, in Piedmont, he was the son of the late Patrick J. Small and Bridget Ann (Diviney) Small. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Small was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, Md. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 19th Combat Engineers serving in World War II. Mr. Small earned master degrees in math and secondary education. He retired from the Morgan County Board of Education. He was the principal at Paw Paw High School, and was a teacher and coach of football, basketball, and baseball at Fort Ashby High School. Mr. Small was a member of the Kelly Mansfield Post No. 52 American Legion, Piedmont, VFW, McCoole, and the Knights of Columbus Council No. 685 as a third degree knight.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine (Baughman) Small; two sons, Dennis Small and wife Hazel, Caldwell, and Stephen Small and wife Teresa, Morgantown; two daughters, Anna-Marie Hogbin, Martinsburg, and Patricia O'Brien, Morgantown; eight grandchildren, Jeff, Chaunette and David Small, Ted and Erin Hogbin, and Rachel, Eric and Rebecca Small; and two special friends, Bertha and Oscar Clark.
Friends may call at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Father Jim Hannon as celebrant.
FLORENCE "KATIE" TANNER
MOOREFIELD, W.Va. - Florence K. "Katie" Tanner, 80, of Moorefield, passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 1997, in Morristown, Tenn., following a long illness.
Born Feb. 9, 1917, in Hardy County, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Fannie (Michael) Sherman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton "Chip" Tanner, in November, 1984; and by one son.
Surviving are one son, Wendell Tanner, Moorefield; two daughters, Janet Hanson, Moorefield, and Wilda "Billie" Scates, Morristown; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997, at the Fraley Funeral Home, Moorefield, with the Rev. Ted Osgood officiating. Burial will follow at the Olivet cemetery in Moorefield. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Fraley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tanner was a lifelong resident of Hardy County and a member of the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church, Moorefield.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fraley Funeral Home.
TRAVIS J. TAYLOR
PIEDMONT, W.Va. - Travis J. Taylor, 16, of 70 West Fairview St., Piedmont, died Saturday, July 26, 1997, as the result of an automobile accident.
Born Dec. 5, 1980, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of Vernon "Chico" Burke and Melissa (Taylor) Rubio.
In addition to his parent, he is survived by his Maternal Grandparents, James and Betty Taylor, Piedmont, and Paternal Grandparents, Vernon and Arlene Burke, Pittsburgh, Pa.; one uncle, Darin L. Burke; and one aunt, Donna L. Burke.
Travis was a member of the Keyser High School Football, Baseball and Basketball teams. He was a Pentecostal by faith.
DAISY M. TETTENBURN
KEYSER, W.Va. - Daisy M. Tettenburn, 84, of 1325 Lynmar St., Keyser, died Sunday, March 16, 1997, at the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home, Keyser.
Born May 12, 1912, at Westernport, Md., she was a daughter of the late Walter and Helen (McKenzie) Dawson.
Mrs. Tettenburn was a retired payroll clerk for the Panama Canal. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Keyser, where she served on the altar guild. She was a member of the Keyser Womens Club.
Surviving are her husband, Howard T. Tettenburn Sr.; one son, H.T. Tettenburn, Keyser; one sister, Donna Dohm, Westernport, Md.; and three grandchildren, Gary Tettenburn, Mark Tettenburn, and Wade Tettenburn, all of Calif.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Liturgy of Christian Burial with Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Judson Pealer as celebrant.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.

HOWARD TETTENBURN
KEYSER, W.Va. - Howard T. Tettenburn, 86, of 1325 Lynmar St., Keyser, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born Sept. 25, 1911, at Keyser, he was a son of the late Thomas E. and Lena R. (Stickley) Tettenburn. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy M. (Dawson) Tettenburn, on March 16, 1997; two brothers, Richard Tettenburn and Elwood P. Tettenburn; one sister, Barbara Lee Tettenburn.
Mr. Tettenburn was employed for 30 years by the U.S. Government in the Panama Canal Zone, having retired in 1970. He was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Keyser; a member of the Western Maryland Coin Club, National Rifle Association, Fostoria Glass Society, Mineral County Health Association, Mineral County Mental Health Association; and was an active member of the local A.A. Chapter.
He is survived by one son, Tom Tettenburn, Keyser; three brothers, Walter S. Tettenburn, Beaver, Pa., Frederick L. Tettenburn and Frank W. Tettenburn, both of Keyser; three grandchildren, Gary Tettenburn, Mark Tettenburn and Wade Tettenburn, all of California.

JOHN E. THEIS
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - John E. Theis, 75, a former resident of Keyser, passed away Oct. 29, 1997, at the Veteran's Administration Regional Center, Huntington, following a long illness. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Nov. 1, 1997, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Minister Don Wright officiating. Interment was in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
Born May 5, 1922, in Grafton, he was a son of the late Carl F. and Katherine (Vernon) Theis. He attended schools in Fairmont and Wheeling, graduating in 1940 from Triadelphia High School. He attended Duke University and Potomac State College prior to his service in World War II.
Mr. Theis served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific theater, where he received the Bronze Star for heroic achievement. After World War II, he attended West Virgnia University, graduating with a degree in business.
At the time of his death, Mr. Theis was a member of the board of directors of the Pleasants County Bank in St. Mary's, W.Va. He had earlier retired from Universal CIT Financial Corporation as a region manager.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy (Hissem) Theis; two brothers, Carl F. Theis Jr. and wife Ida, Keyser, and Paul E. Theis, Roanoke, Va.; three sisters, Katherine Bolin, Charleston, S.C., Ruth Kranz, Newark, Del., and Sue Rehfeld of Greeley, Colo.; several nieces and nephews; and two stepdaughters, Cynthia Jones, Birmingham, Ala., and Sandra Kilgore, Huntington.
NINA N. THOMAS
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Nina (Nicely) Thomas, 88, of Dawn View Nursing Home, Fort Ashby, formerly of Clifton Forge, Va., died Monday, March 24, 1997, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born Dec. 29, 1908, in Alleghany County, Va., she was the daughter of the late James Madison and Virgie Mary Nicely.
Mrs. Thomas was the widow of Edgar Leonard Thomas. She was a member of the Central Advent Christian Church, and the Ladies Bible Class. She was a retired nurses' aide for the Taylor Nursing Home.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Pansy T. and Gerald Wrenn, Fort Ashby; two sisters, Ethel Clark and Ruth Peters, Route 1, Clifton Forge; three grandchildren and spouses, Gerald Jr. and Jami Wrenn, Winchester, Tracey and Jeffrey Webster, Purcellville, Va., and Matthew Thomas and Cindy Wrenn, Frederick, Md.
Graveside services will be conducted at Central Advent Christian cemetery on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Burns officiating.
Memorial gifts may be made in her name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905, or the Parkinson Disease Fund.
