DELLA CHARLTON
KEYSER, W.Va. - Della Charlton, 91, of Route 46, Keyser, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 1997, at her residence.
Born April 18, 1905, in Shaw, she was a daughter of Thomas Hamilton and Agnes (Eversole) Hamilton. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Charlton; a son, Eugene Hopkins; three brothers, William, Albert, and Eddie Hamilton; a sister, Sally Lewis; and two great-grandchildren, Jason White and Kristina Marie Thompson.
Mrs. Charlton was a homemaker, and Pentecostal by faith.
Surviving are one son, Charles C. Hopkins and wife Alice, Keyser; one daughter, Bernadine Citarelli and husband John, Keyser; one brother, Renix Hamilton, McCoole; one sister, Nellie Riggleman, McCoole; ten grandchildren, John Trenum and wife Jenny, Della Avers and husband Jerry, Eileen Bryan, Mary Bell and husband Thomas, Charles Trenum and wife Sonya, Robert Hopkins and wife Sue, Kathleen Ravenscroft and husband Roger, Anna White and husband Melvin, Steve Hopkins, and Judy Williamson; special friend, Sherry Suthard; 21 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be at the funeral home Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Eversole officiating.
Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
ALMA L. CHAPMAN
ELK GARDEN, W.Va. - Alma L. Chapman, 90, of Elk Garden, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 1997, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland, Md.
Born June 28, 1907, in Maysville, she was the daughter of the late Cantwell and Mary (Moreland) Conrad. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Elwood Chapman Sr.
Surviving are four sons, Roscoe E. Chapman Jr., Mount Storm, Blondel Chapman, Oakland, Marvin Chapman, Elk Garden, and Gerald Chapman, Mount Storm; four daughters, Deloris Aronhalt, Elk Garden, Iva Jean Sickwire, Uniontown, Ohio, Norma Kline, Barbonton, Ohio, and Charlotte Kitzmiller, Mount Storm; three sisters, Lucy Rembold, Keyser, Nora Turbin, Va., and Iva Knight, Ga.; 27 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchldren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the House of Prayer on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Leslie Hipp officiating.
BERTHA B. GILLESPIE
WEBSTER SPRINGS, W.Va. - Bertha Baughman Gillespie, 93, of Webster Springs, died Wednesday, June 11, 1997, at Webster Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Born Aug. 30, 1903, in Bolair, she was the daughter of the late C.C. and Harriett (Cummings) Baughman. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gillespie; a son, Eugene; and a daughter, Louise.
Mrs. Gillespie lived her whole life in Webster County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Webster Springs; and a member of Webster Springs Womens Club. She was a former restaurant and school lunch cook. She retired from Webster County Memorial Hospital, where she had worked as a LPN. She also worked at Denmar State Hospital.
Surviving are four sons, Jimmie Gillespie, Webster Springs, Bernard Gillespie and Paul Felix Gillespie, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and David H. Gillespie, Frostburg, Md; four daughters, Mrs. Dean (Helen) Hufford, Pulaski, Va., Lucille McCoy, Elyria, Ohio, Mrs. Robert (Sammie) Allman, Buckhannon, and Mrs. Melvin (Caroline) Cochran, Webster Springs; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, 155 McGraw, Webster Springs, on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Reggie Stewart officiating.
WILLIE L. HENDRICKS
AUGUSTA, W.Va. - Willie Louise Hendricks, 80, of Augusta, died Saturday, April 12, 1997, at Hampshire Memorial Hospital, as a result of an automobile accident.
Born May 15, 1916, at Pickins County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Franklin Kennedy and Glendora (Williams) Kennedy. She also was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Mrs. Hendricks was a homemaker. She was a member of the Delray Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph E. Hendricks; four daughters, Bobbie Hendricks, Jean Houchens, Judy Kissack and Vicki Bowen, all of Augusta; one son, Frank Hendricks, Stuarts Draft, Va.; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, at 1 p.m. with Ansel Peer, minister, and James Sandusky, minister, officiating.
LEOLA G. GARLAND
PIEDMONT, W.Va. - Leola Glendora Garland, 67, of 14 W. Hampshire St., Piedmont, died Tuesday, May 20, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Nov. 28, 1928, in Piedmont, she was the daughter of the late William R. Perry and Wyananza (Gilmore) Perry. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Maurice Perry.
Mrs. Perry worked as a seamstress for the Keyser Garment Factory, and also was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Church of God in Christ, Piedmont; the Faith Chapter 31, Order of the Eastern Star; and Aubrey-Stewart Post 5957 VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are four sons, Jamie Garland, Keyser, Brian Garland, University Park, Md., Kevin Garland, Piedmont, and Robert Washington, Keyser; five daughters, Sheila Warren and husband Ronald, Portland, Ore., Francine Thornton, Piedmont, Janice Bullet and husband Michael, Waynesville, Mo., Thea Garland and Nina Newby, both of Piedmont; one brother, William Perry and wife Cleta, Keyser; special friend and companion, Robert C. Johnson, Piedmont, and special friend, Penny Bostic; sisters-in-law, Mayra Perry, Columbus, Ohio, Helen Hines, Piedmont, and Pearl Keager, Washington, D.C.; brother-in-law, Charles L. Garland; two aunts, Helen Gillum and Helen Perry; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; 12 grandchildren, Tony, Craig and Monique Warren, Tony, Brea, and Cory Washington, Michael and Tanica Bullet, Natashia Davis, Brijon Garland, E.N. and Maurice Newby; and four great-grandchildren, Paris, Micah, and Alaylia Warren, and Kadeem Garland.

Funeral services will be at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, on Saturday at noon with the Rev. David Coleman, the Rev. Henderson Wheeler, the Rev. Lester Clifford, the Rev. Darnell Allen and the Rev. Darin Allen officiating.
Interment will follow at Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
ROSA B. GANOE
ROMNEY, W.Va. - Rosa Blanche Ganoe, 105, of Ferndale, Md., formerly of Romney, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997, at her residence in Ferndale.
Born Feb. 16, 1892, in Hampshire County, she was the daughter of the late Silas and Slemma (Fultz) Iser. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Wesley Ganoe, on April 28, 1979; two sons, Kenneth W. and Paul Ganoe; one daughter, Pearl V. Leatherman; three brothers; seven sisters; one grandson, David Ganoe; and one great-grandson, Doug Cook.
Mrs. Ganoe was a homemaker, an orchard worker for Miller Orchards, and a cook for the railroad.
Surviving are a devoted son-in-law, Carroll Leatherman, Glen Burnie, Md.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Virginia Showalter officiating.

AGNES ROSE GALLIHER
PAW PAW, W.Va. - Agnes Rose (Twigg) Galliher, 88, of Paw Paw, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at Washington Hospital, Washington, D.C.
Born Aug. 7, 1909, in Oldtown, she was the daughter of the late Bruce W. and Martha (Hite) Twigg. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Pinkney Charles Galliher, in 1992; one son, Arley Galliher; and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Galliher was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God, Paw Paw.
Surviving are four daughters, Virginia Brown, Hagerstown, Millie Johnson and husband, Michael, Helen Golden and husband, Jay, Shirley Zeger and husband Terry, all of Clearspring; two sons, Vernon Galliher and wife, Rita, Oldtown, and Wilbert Galliher and wife, Janet, Paw Paw; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Avenue, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Lighthouse Assembly of God on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Earl Travis, Jr., officiating. Friends will be received at the church from noon to 1 p.m.
