LUCY D. JORDAN
KEYSER, W.Va. - Lucy D. Jordan, 84, of Route 1, Box 109, Keyser, died Saturday, March 29, 1997, at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born Jan. 21, 1913, at Beryl, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Clarence L. and Mary (Fazenbaker) Johnson. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce L. Jordan, on Feb. 25, 1974.
Mrs. Jordan was formerly employed with the Celanese Amcelle Plant and the Keyser Woolen Mill. She was Baptist by faith.
Surviving are three sons, Charles L. Jordan and wife Carol, Bruce D. Jordan and wife Bonnie, and H. Keith Jordan and wife Bev, all of Keyser; two daughters, Mary Schwinabart, Greenville, S.C., and Iris Camplain and husband John, Hemet, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Jessie Johnson, Port Orange, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Tina Hammack and Ron Virts, both of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., Clarissa Harris, Oakland, Md., Chris Jordan, Keyser, Carlotta Jordan, Morgantown, W.Va., Victor Strickler, Cumberland, Md., Theresa Holt, San Jacinto, Calif., Keith Jordan and Lori Ann Jordan, both of Keyser; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Euel Wright officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Valley Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
VIRGINIA K. JORDAN
KEYSER, W.Va. - Virginia K. "Ginny" Jordan, 83, of 340 Hawthorne Road, Keyser, died Thursday, April 10, 1997, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born March 22, 1914, at Barnum, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Russell and Katherine (Derham) Kight. She also was preceded in death by her husband, C. Edwin Jordan Sr., on Sept. 4, 1989; one brother; and two sisters.
Mrs. Jordan was a retired bookkeeper for the Keyser Television Co. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Keyser, and Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont.
Surviving are one son, Charles E. Jordan Jr. and wife Jacqueline K., Keyser; one brother, Malcolm Kight, Westernport, Md.; two grandchildren, Jodi Lawrence and Jamie Jordan, both of Keyser; and one great-grandson, Jordan Tyler Lawrence.
Mrs. Jordan requested that her body be cremated.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Smith Funeral Home, Keyser, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A memorial service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Sue Culbertson Jarrett and the Rev. S.D. Sawyers officiating.

AUSTIN W. JUDY
RIDGELEY, W.Va. - Austin William Judy, 69, of Route 1, Ridgeley, died Wednesday, June 11, 1997, at the Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Unit.
Born June 13, 1927, in Glebe, he was the son of the late Fred Austin and L. Fern (Pyles) Judy. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Judy; and one sister, Genevieve Lambert.
Mr. Judy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. He retired from PPG, where he had been a painter.
For 18 years, Mr. Judy had owned and operated Judy's Outdoor Power Products.
He was a member of Knobley Mountain Post No. 136, American Legion; Nancy Hanks Post No. 3518, VFW; and the AARP.
Surviving are three sons, Darrell "Butch" Judy and wife Peg, Ridgeley, Dale Austin "B.J"' Judy and wife Cindi, Ridgeley, and Michael Judy, Leesburg, Va.; two daughters, Cheryl Mattingly and husband Frank, Pasadena, Md., and Chris Swanger and husband Kenny, Ridgeley; one sister, Jessie Mae Ryan, Wiley Ford; seven grandchildren, Allison, Hope, Stephanie, Matthew, Scott, Katie, and Elizabeth; and one great-grandson, Alex.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Benny Brakeall officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Wolford, Mark Wolford, David Wolford, Steve Jenkins, Greg Brenneman, and Jim Lambert.
MARTHA ADAMS JUDY
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Martha Adams Judy, 80, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., died Tuesday, April 22, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born February 18, 1917, in Fort Ashby, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Carl R. and Julia (Hartman) Adams. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Judy, in 1986; one sister, Louise Speelman; and two brothers, Raymond P. Adams, and Walter H. Adams.
Mrs. Judy was a 1936 graduate of Ridgeley High School. She was retired from the Cumberland Blouse Co. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the United Methodist Women and the Wesleyan Sunday School class.
In addition, she was a member of the Fort Ashby Homemakers, and the Fort Ashby Senior Citizens. As a 50 year member of the Fort Ashby Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Mrs. Judy served as secretary for many years.
Surviving are one brother, Russell S. Adams, Fort Ashby; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.
The United Methodist Women will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Friday at 7:15 p.m. The Fort Ashby Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary will follow with a service at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Dallas Forren officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Trinity United Methodist Church or to the Fort Ashby Volunteer Fire Co.
RUTH L. JOHNSON
THOMAS, W.Va. - Ruth Long Johnson, 82, of Thomas, died Sunday, April 13, 1997, at the Cortland Acres Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 6, 1914, in Roaring, she was a daughter of the late Robert C. and Zernie Catherine (Vance) Long. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Johnson Sr., in 1983; three sons, Thomas, Dale and Harvey; and one brother, Roy Long.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a charter member of the Seneca Rocks Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are three sons, Fred E. Johnson Jr., Thomas, Gail R. Johnson, Alliance, Ohio, and Robert C. Johnson, Owings, Md.; five daughters, Winifred Gibbs, Roswell, Ga., Mildred Davis, Thomas, Sharon Rush, Camden, S.C., Elizabeth Kennedy, Fairmont, and Margaret Fowler, Davis; one brother, Harvey Long, Hinton, Va.; five sisters, Margie Sites, Petersburg, Orpha Long, Bedford, Pa., Mabel Cooper, Hinton, Va., Thelma Tingler, Wymer, and Pauline Huffman, Onego; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Hinkle Funeral Home, Davis, on Tuesday, April 15, 1997, from 2 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, April 16, 1997, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jonas R. Johnson officiating.
OWEN W. JEWELL
FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Owen William Jewell, infant son of Paul Junior Jewell Jr. and Nadene Marie (Nestor) Jewell, of Fort Ashby, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Surviving in addition to his parents are one brother, Tony Jewell, at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Shawen, Ridgeley, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nestor, Fort Ashby; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jewell, Arizona.
A private funeral service was held at the Upchurch Funeral Home on March 7, 1997.
WILLIAM G. JACKSON
RICHMOND, Va. - William Gilbert Jackson, 70, of Richmond, formerly of Cumberland, died Saturday, April 5, 1997, at Henrico Doctors Hospital, Richmond.
Born Dec. 5, 1926, in Piedmont, W.Va., he was the son of the late Howard and Ann Rosalie (Mullen) Jackson. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Jackson; and one sister, Janice Billmeyer.
Mr. Jackson was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He worked in sales for Sears Roebuck and Co.
Surviving are his wife, Martha; one son, William Jackson, Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Susan Miller, Richmond; one brother, Ralph Jackson, LaVale; one sister, Pauline Athey, Cumberland; and two grandchildren, Whitney Berriman and husband Scott, and David Miller.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Ressurection will be celebrated at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cumberland, on Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at noon with the Rev. Father Vance Pastorious officiating.
