She retired from Perfection Garment Co., Ranson, after many years as a fabric worker.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town, W.Va.
She is survived by close friends and caregivers, Pamela K. Foutz and Mark A. Davis, both of Kearneysville; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie May Cook and five brothers, Lonzy Brookman, Juddy Brookman, Jesse Brookman, Cave Brookman, and infant, Wade Brookman and a half-brother, Robert Lloyd. She was the last of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. Dr. Wyman Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town.
Friends will be received Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Hazel V. Hoover
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Hazel Virginia Hoover, 93, of Martinsburg, died Monday, May 29, 2000, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born April 16, 1907, in Shenandoah County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Ora Bowers Kipps.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Hoover.
She was formerly employed with Eyerly's, now known as Bon Ton, as a sales clerk.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and attended Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Bragg of Stephenson, Va.; a son, Danny R. Hoover of Inwood, W.Va.; six sisters, Audrey Shipler of Chambersburg, Pa., Helen Ashton of Shanghi, W.Va., Ruby Albright of Martinsburg, Jeanette Husler and Marie Brymesser, both of Carlisle, Pa., and Doloph Kipps of Richmond, Va.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Hester Boyce and Redith Boyce; three brothers, Charles Kipps, Harold Kipps and Cletus Kipps.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Paul C. Stanley will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Sharon L. Cain Hall, 55, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at City Hospital.
Born July 8, 1944, in Winchester, Va., she was the daughter of Gladys Cain Cole of Winchester and the late Howard W. Cain.
She was a graduate of James Wood High School.
She retired in 1996 from Corning Glass Works.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winchester.
She was a member of FOE Eagles 4179 in Martinsburg.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Kymberlei Hall Wears of Bristow, Va.; one brother, Ronald W. Cain of Alexandria, Va.; one grandson, Drew S. Snow of Bristow; two aunts; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Sue Seabright.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., in Martinsburg. The Rev. Chad Herndon will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - F. Beatrice "Bee" Gomory, 85, of Hedgesville, and formerly of Dothan, Ala., and Homeward Retirement Center in Williamsport, died Monday, May 29, 2000, at her daughter's home.
Born Sept. 28, 1914, in Wilmot, Ark., she was the daughter of the late George Thurston and Mary Bell Barlow Sawyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Retired Lt. Col. Gustave E. Gomory.
She was a graduate of California State University in Sacramento, Calif.
She was a personal representative and cover girl for Sallye Harmer Cosmetic Co. in Philadelphia.
She was a member of Presbyterian Church.
She was a member of Officer's Wives Association of Dothan; Arts Council; Dothan Senior Citizen's Center; and volunteered with organizations.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Colburn-Green of Hedgesville; and two grandchildren, Cameron R. Green and Shawna K. Lorenzen.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and eight brothers.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hedges Chapel. Pastor Don Smith and Deb Palka will officiate.

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Etholene Belle Kimes, 83, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Valley View Nursing Home in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born Aug. 10, 1916, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late David N. and Maggie Elizabeth Oden Penwell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin N. Kimes, in 1984.
She worked at Charles Town General Hospital as a nurse for 20 years. Earlier, she worked at Loudoun Memorial Hospital in Leesburg, Va., and Knott Nursing Home in Charles Town.
She was a member of Zion Episcopal Church in Charles Town.
She was a member of Betsy Ross Home Demonstration Club; and Eastern Panhandle Nurses Association.
She is survived by a daughter, Katherine V. Fridley of Charles Town; a sister, Hallie Friend of Rockville, Md.; three grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Spencer, Angela Sue Johnson and Spencer Paul Cavalier; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Phoebe Ann Kimes; a son, Paul N. Kimes; a sister, Arietta Painter; and three brothers, David Penwell, Theodore Penwell and Howard Penwell.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Zion Episcopal Church, 300 E. Congress St., in Charles Town. The Rev. Jack Weise will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery in Charles Town.
