MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Hugh Harding Fouch, 67, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at City Hospital.
Born March 2, 1932, in Brownsville, Md., he was the son of the late William A. and Sarah Harding Fouch.
He retired from E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Co. in 1985 after 31 years.
A Korean War veteran, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Charles Town Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Wilma Carper Fouch; two daughters, Debra Snyder of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Melinda Staley of Martinsburg; a son, Mark D. Fouch of Hedgesville; a sister, Frances R. Hite of Kearneysville, W.Va.; a brother, Hyland Lee Fouch of Inwood, W.Va.; a half brother, Robert Fouch of Hedgesville; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll A. Fouch; a half brother, George W. Fouch; and a nephew.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Dwayne Casteel will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Elsie D. Boyd
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Elsie Deel Boyd, 82, of Martinsburg, and formerly of Hopewell, Va., died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, in City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born March 11, 1917, in Grundy, Va., she was the daughter of the late Paris and Ruth Deel.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elster T. Stallard; and by her second husband, Dennis Boyd.
She attended Enon Baptist Church, Hopewell.
She is survived by two daughters, Imogene Cornwell of Aberdeen, Md., and Betty Giorgio of Hedgesville, W.Va.; two sons, Ronald L. Stallard of Rockford, Ill., and Teddy R. Stallard of Aberdeen; two sisters, Gracie Lemoli of Boston and Gladys Deel of Tazewell, Va.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Winnie Owens, Bonnie Blankenship and Julie Viers; and five brothers, Garland Deel, Corbett Deel, Tilden Deel, Hibbert Deel and Allen Deel.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel. The Rev. James Riley will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Michael L. Grobosky
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Michael L. Grobosky, 56, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Fairfax (Va.) Hospital.
Born April 13, 1943, in McDowell County, W.Va., he was the son of Edna Pruitt Grobosky of Martinsburg and the late Bruno Grobosky.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anna Watson Grobosky.
He owned and operated Shepherdstown Barber Shop.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church.
He was a member of Newton D. Baker Post 896 VFW, and Berkeley Post 14 American Legion.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Julieanna Duda of New Market, Md.; a son, Bret Michael Grobosky of San Diego; a sister, Mitzi Churchey of Martinsburg; a brother, Sam Grobosky of Virginia Beach, Va.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 9 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Revs. Harry C. Young Jr. and Johnny Kelley will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens with military services by Newton D. Baker Post 896 VFW and Berkeley Post 14 American Legion.

Reva S. Pierce
INWOOD, W.Va. - Reva S. Pierce, 75, of Inwood, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Canterbury Center.
Born Sept. 13, 1924, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary White Shackelford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin P. Pierce.
She was formerly employed by Perfection Garment.
She was a member of Middleway United Methodist Church and a former Sunday school teacher.
She was a member of Golden Rule Chapter 69 of Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane E. Marcy of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a son, Edward L. Pierce of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; two sisters, Betty Maske of Florida and Mary Ann Cole of New Jersey; two brothers, Walter Shackelford and Cecil Shackelford, both of Florida; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Charles L. Frum will officiate. Burial will be in Rest cemetery in Frederick County, Va.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home, where Golden Rule Chapter 69 Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service at 3 p.m.
Arnold R. Heatwole
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Arnold Rockne Heatwole, 68, of Hedgesville, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at City Hospital.
Born March 28, 1931, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late John Lawrence Heatwole Sr. and Bessie Ida Deter Heatwole.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Gossard Heatwole; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Berrane of Hedgesville; three stepsons, James King of Newport News, Va., Michael King of Seattle and Charles King of Elkins, W.Va.; three sisters, Janet J. Sisk of Colonial Beach, Va., Norma F. Sweeney of St. Leonards, Md., and Betty H. Berge of Front Royal, Va.; two brothers, Thomas Holmes Heatwole of Locust Grove, Va., and James L. Heatwole of Bentonville, Va.; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris V. Dern and Jean Heatwole; a brother, John L. Heatwole Jr.; and a grandson.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, W.Va. Reid Sowder will officiate. Entombment will be in Rosedale cemetery.

Maude M. Baker
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Maude Marie Baker, 88, of Hedgesville, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at City Hospital.
Born June 22, 1911, in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Ulysses S. Grant and Maude McCoullough Potter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Baker.
She was employed by Perfection Garment Co.
She was a member of Faith Bible Church in Hedgesville.
She was a member of Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by a daughter, DonNa Jean French of Hedgesville; three grandchildren, Steven Craig French, Cheryl Lynne Bare and Jan Marie Kidwell; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Dailey Hammack and three brothers, Haden Potter, Edmond Potter and Norman Potter.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Johnsontown Bible Church. The Revs. Jack Rudy, Darrell Gentry and Andrew Hamrick will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Morgan County.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home; and Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the church.
