PIEDMONT, W.Va. - Edward D. "Tabby" Twyman, 76, of 57 Erin St., died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at his home.
Born March 21, 1923, in Piedmont, he was the son of the late Douglas and Sarah Allen Twyman.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Waldon Methodist Church in Piedmont.
He was a member and past commander of Aubrey-Stewart Post 5957 VFW in Piedmont, a member of Kelly-Mansfield Post 52 American Legion in Piedmont, and Masonic Lodge 41 in Keyser, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol Wilmoth Twyman; his stepmother, Ida Price Twyman; a daughter, Sarah Kithcart of Martinsburg, W.Va.; three sons, Gail Wilmoth of Luke, Md., Eugene Bowman of Hagerstown and Edward Twyman Jr. of Martinsburg; three sisters, Lilly McCray and Annie Twyman, both of Piedmont, and Amanda Barnett of Houston; a brother, Steven Twyman of Piedmont; and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Davis and Theresa Johnson, and two brothers, John Twyman and Ronald Twyman.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Fredlock Funeral Home in Piedmont. The Rev. Harry Coleman will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Potomac Memorial Garden in Keyser, W.Va.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Evelyn H. Dambro
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Evelyn Hazel Dambro, 80, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Canterbury Center in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
Born Aug. 6, 1919, in West New York, N.J., she was the daughter of the late George and Louise Haller Rusch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Dambro.
She was a member of Flemington Presbyterian Church in Flemington, N.J.
She was active with the Child Development Center at West Virginia Wesleyan in Buchannon, W.Va., and the Senior Home Companion Program.
She is survived by two sons, Jerome Joseph Dambro of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Gary George Dambro of Stockton, N.J.; three sisters, Marie Miller and Louise Schwarze, both of New Jersey, and Amelia Leppert of Washington; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Robert S. Hill will officiate.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Prospect Hill cemetery in Flemington.
The family will receive friends Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Vernon B. Catlett Sr.
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Vernon B. Catlett Sr., 75, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg.
Born April 28, 1924, in Whitacre, Va., he was the son of the late Orie Catlett and Ada Catlett Crim.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Catlett.
He retired from the U.S. Navy and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he worked in law enforcement.
He was a member of Robert White Lodge 67 AF&AM and York Rite Lebanon Chapter 2, R.A.M.
He is survived by two sons, Vernon B. Catlett Jr. and Curtis A. Catlett, both of Martinsburg; a stepdaughter, Francine Abney of North Carolina; three half sisters, Wilda Ferrebee, Eleanor Carter and Nancy Catlett, all of Winchester, Va.; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Todd J. Catlett; his stepfather, Bruce Crim; and a half sister, Betty Bender.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Eddie H. Edmonds will officiate. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Barbara F. Walker
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Barbara Fay Walker, 72, of Berkeley Springs, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va.
Born Feb. 14, 1927, in Lynchburg, Va., she was the daughter of the late William Matroni.
She was a retired secretary of NASA.
She was a Catholic.
She is survived by a sister, Phyllis Proffitt of Lynchburg.

Jack C. Perkins
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - Jack C. Perkins, 57, of Bridgeport, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
Born Sept. 8, 1942, in Syracuse, N.Y., he was the son of the late Lloyd T. and Helen E. Nichols Perkins.
He worked for Monumental Life Insurance Company, Central District Office in Bridgeport, W.Va.
He was a member of Canton High School Sports Hall of Fame in Canton from 1957 to 1958; Hockey Team; and Township 19 Hunting Club, Tupper Lake, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel "Nikki" Seibert Perkins, whom he married
May 1, 1980; two daughters, Shari L. Purtell of Syracuse and Patricia A. Harter of Centre Hall, Pa.; a son, Shawn C. Perkins of Canton, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, Donna L. Falchick of Silver Spring, Md., and Teresa A. Wagner of Hagerstown; a brother, William R. Perkins of Marshall, Va.; two stepsons, Allen L. Moser and James R. Moser, both of Hagerstown; and 14 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be today at 10 a.m. at Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 E. Main St. in Clarksburg, W.Va. The Rev. Joseph Heilman will officiate.
There will be no visitation.

Charlotte E. Rankin
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Charlotte Evangeline Rankin, 76, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 21, 1924, in Alexandria, Va., she was the daughter of the late James C. and Minnie Dale Carrico Bradfield.
She was a 1941 graduate of George Washington High School.
She retired from Alexandria Hospital as an EEG technician.
She was a member of Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher, a choir member and Bible School teacher.
She was a member of Northern Virginia Business Women's Association, and Order of the Eastern Star in Annandale, Va.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Elwood Rankin; a daughter, Carol June Karberg of St. Louis; two sons, Robert Eugene Rankin of Louisville, Ky., and Philip Glenn Rankin of Denver; two sisters, Lucy Louise of Rivenburg, Va., and June Lee Mason of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Melvin C. Bradfield of North Carolina; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Temple Toon, and a brother, James Francis Bradfield.
Services will be today at 4 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St. in Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Robert Osborne will officiate.
